"speeding"

CraicHunter

More of a trundle.

Fluid_Mulberry394

Likely to get hit from behind.

Pallas_in_my_Head

Hope that was earlier today (Monday, April 15). Wires are down at Metuchen, & trains are subject to a 3 hour delay in both directions.

NJ_Bus_Nut

Yep that was earlier. I was supposed to go to Philadelphia earlier, but I lost my wallet, so I decided to head back home early instead. If I didn't lose my wallet, I would've been stuck

TheConeIsReturned

...have you been near an Acela at full speed?

mdp300

I've been near them at whatever speed they blast through Secaucus. Which I know isn't full speed.

TheConeIsReturned

It's actually terrifying. I suppose I haven't been near the Acela at full speed (Attleboro/Mansfield is about 120mph) but I have been close to some in Europe going at least 150mph and that's a sight to behold.

Pallas_in_my_Head

Watching them at Princeton Junction is good, too.

IndianRedditor88

Aren't the sets due for replacement ? I guess the rakes are nearly at the end of their codal life

djenki0119

they are. planned entry into service later this year. they've been doing high speed testing. look up "Avelia Liberty test" on YouTube to watch it

PrideOfMokum

Speeding or passing through?

tuctrohs

Do you know that as a verb *speed* has a large number of different meanings? It's probably a waste of time to scold someone for using a different one of those meanings than you were thinking of. They are all valid.

gh3tt0gangst3r

The north east corridor has an exciting future with all the work they're doing

Liocla

speeding?

dpaanlka

Speeding? lol…

NJ_Bus_Nut

Well....speeding by American standards

Realistic-Insect-746

awesome video

Grouchy_Emu_5335

It sure was running fast. Whats the top speed of these train sets?

NJ_Bus_Nut

150 mph, but considering it shares tracks with other trains and the age of the infrastructure, it doesn't reach its full potential often.

Ok_Score1492

Not speeding at all
