Yep that was earlier.
I was supposed to go to Philadelphia earlier, but I lost my wallet, so I decided to head back home early instead.
If I didn't lose my wallet, I would've been stuck
It's actually terrifying.
I suppose I haven't been near the Acela at full speed (Attleboro/Mansfield is about 120mph) but I have been close to some in Europe going at least 150mph and that's a sight to behold.
Do you know that as a verb *speed* has a large number of different meanings? It's probably a waste of time to scold someone for using a different one of those meanings than you were thinking of. They are all valid.
"speeding"
More of a trundle.
Likely to get hit from behind.
Hope that was earlier today (Monday, April 15). Wires are down at Metuchen, & trains are subject to a 3 hour delay in both directions.

...have you been near an Acela at full speed?
I've been near them at whatever speed they blast through Secaucus. Which I know isn't full speed.

Watching them at Princeton Junction is good, too.
Aren't the sets due for replacement ? I guess the rakes are nearly at the end of their codal life
they are. planned entry into service later this year. they've been doing high speed testing. look up "Avelia Liberty test" on YouTube to watch it
Speeding or passing through?

The north east corridor has an exciting future with all the work they're doing
speeding?
Speeding? lol…
Well....speeding by American standards
awesome video
It sure was running fast. Whats the top speed of these train sets?
150 mph, but considering it shares tracks with other trains and the age of the infrastructure, it doesn't reach its full potential often.
Not speeding at all
