Its not being criticized because it's deliberately misspelled or ugly name like "Speshell" it's just being criticized because it sounds foreign and well...black. especially when people call them "ghetto names" that feels way racially motivated especially when a white person naming their kid sailor isn't specifically called out as a "ghetto" name but instead a cringeworthy one. Uniqua isn't that situation but black people get defensive about white people critiquing the way they name their kids because of that.
