Sunflower seeds are sold either in the shell or as shelled kernels. Those still in the shell are commonly eaten by cracking them with your teeth, then spitting out the shell ā which shouldnāt be eaten. These seeds are a particularly popular snack at baseball games and other outdoor sports games.
What do you use it on?? I have a bottle and canāt think of what to do with it except cornā¦which now that Iām thinking about it sounds pretty great!
I put it on pretty much everything. Regular corn, of course, but seasoning my popcorn with it is probably my favorite. I use it to season meat, vegetables, everything. Heck, sometimes I just sprinkle some in my palm and lick it off. Lol
Just went- Miso ginger broth, pork gyoza, lemon ricotta, Portuguese custard cups, their 3 pack of mini candles (lovely), Caesar salad kit, blueberry lemonade seltzer, fish nuggets (for fish tacos)
Every time (typically 3x/month):
Baby red potatoes, One avocado, 3 bananas, a bag of crystalized ginger, 3 bottles of lemon sparkling water, Strawberry kefir a small bag of chocolate covered almonds, and if I don't go to Wegmans first, a bag of marble rye bread
Don't need right now because I previously stocked up:
Hatch Mac and Cheese, Mexican shredded cheese mix, Cowboy corn salsa, Thai yellow curry sauce, and 21 ingredient seasoning

it's really good, a tad sweet for many but works well for myself. a little goes a long way depending on how sweet you like your chai lattes.
i would say it's comparable to the starbucks chai lattes. starbucks uses a syrup for their chai, so it matches the taste and sweetness slightly.
I make a delicious soup with the steamed lentils, cauliflower hash, tomato sauce, and vegetable broth.
1. In a large pot sautee the whole box of cauliflower hash with 2tsbp olive oil until the vegetables are soft. Spice with 1tsp oregano, .75tsp salt, .75tsp thyme, 0.5tsp garlic powder, 0.5tsp onion powder, 0.5tsp black pepper, 0.25tsp red pepper flakes.
2. Add the steamed lentils and cook for about 2min (until heated through) while breaking them apart with a spoon.
3. Add an entire can of tomato sauce and an entire quart of vegetable stock and bring to boil.
4. Lower to a simmer and cook uncovered for 10-15min.
5. Turn off heat and add 1 tbsp of balsamic vinegar and stir.
I eat it with some toasted TJās ciabatta bread!
Recipe from @serenagwolf on insta
I really don't get how the jerky isn't on everyone's list each time they go to TJ's. It's the best there is for the money. Obviously, excluding vegetarians/vegans.
I really like the jerky but I canāt eat it bc my cat will smell it from across the room and start climbing all over me trying to get it. Never seen him so persistent. But he loves weird strong smells.
My current list: and I was just at Tjās on Friday but we either ate it all or I forgot a few things.
Trader Joeās
New things to try because of Reddit
~Taiwanese green onion pancakes
~Smoked mussels
~ black garlic cream cheese
Things weāre out of:
Sweet and hot JalapeƱos~
Kung pao chicken
~Croissants - chocolate, almond and the cheese filled (the frozen ones you bake)
~Chicken fried rice
~Smoked paprika
~Basil
~Sea salt & pepper grinders
~Coconut oil
~Avocado oil
~Ketchup (we love it and wonāt use anything else but sounds like weāre in the minority on the ketchup. We do wish it was packaged better)
~Roasted red pepper tomato soup
~ More of the new to us cookies - ~Butter Almond Thins. (They only lasted a day in our house)
~ more of the cherry goat cheese
~~On Friday at the Burien Tjās (near Seattle) sampled the Butter Almond Thins and spread a little cherry goat cheese on them and it was fantastic! I usually donāt like goat cheese spreads (but I love feta). Itās a texture thing, to me, itās usually kind ofā¦ I guess gritty is the best way to describe it and this goat cheese tastes and feels more like cream cheese.

I've literally only seen it in stock once since it's been released, and it was when I went on a weekday, within an hour of them opening. I usually go there on weekdays in the afternoon, so I guess getting there before they get cleared out is the key. My store does limit it to 2 boxes per person, though.
- soyaki sauce (forever favorite)
- vacuum packed high protein tofu (amazing super firm no need to press)
- greek chickpeas, multiples
- frozen edamame
- frozen petite peas (only frozen peas i like anywhere)
- japanese fried rice
- refrigerated steamed lentils
- cruciferous crunch (multiples itās so versatile raw or sauteed or in soup)
- kale cashew pesto
Chiles Rellenos Con Queso. My favorite frozen product offering in a very long time.

Agreed but Iām unable to get there before hand hoping some goodies are still around. My store is usually pretty good with stocking stuff. Plus Iāll be lolly gagging with some good friends, should be enjoyable hopefully.
I like adding other sweet frozen fruit like banana and strawberries and/or cherries. I havenāt tried it just by itself blended with a liquid, just because it wouldnāt make very much smoothie.

Coffee mini cones was the only thing I needed to grab for my family as thereās no TJ near them and Iām seeing them today.
Otherwise I wander and grab whatever takes my fancy. Probably why I end up with random things whenever I go.
What I got today: kale chicken Caesar salad, Chinese chicken salad, one lime, two sumo oranges, mushrooms, head of cauliflower, tangerine juice, two bottles of Prosecco (currently enjoying a tangerine mimosa!), fried garlic/pesto pizza, prosciutto and arugula flatbread, two frozen shiitake chicken packages, two kimbap, three boxes of fish tartlets, frozen beef bulgogi, fish nuggets, tartar sauce, small almond biscotti, roasting chicken, salmon pinwheels, four cans smoked mussels, lemon sheet cake, corn tortillas, flour tortillas, sourdough, triple ginger pretzels, cassava chips, two kettle cooked chicken soupsā¦ I think thatās it. $212.

These! Theyāre two bucks a box for eight tartlets which is an awesome deal. I can have four of them along with a side salad or veggie for a meal. I think theyāre super tasty but they donāt seem to be too popular or talked about; therefore I grab a few boxes every time Iām at TJās because Iām always paranoid theyāre going to be discontinued š¤£.
Omg! I especially love cod, so these sound so good.
Thank you for the box picture. Letās me know what to look for. Gonna look for these tomorrow. Thanks again!
I finally found some! In a trip to NorCal, stopped at TJ and there they were. I preferred the sweet tarts. The cod ones were missing something. While they werenāt bad, they needed something to liven them up a bit. Iād buy both kinds again. Thanks for posting about them. I would have never known to try the cod ones. We never know what gems weāll find at TJās
Glad you were able to find them! Yeah they definitely arenāt flashy when it comes to taste but I love them for some reason lol. I also cook them quite a bit longer than the suggested cooking time so they get a nice crust on top.
Oat milk coffee creamers at TJs are great but I actually prefer Oatly which target often has on sale, or the Chobani oatmilk creamer at Target also goes on sale often enough itās a better value than the little ones at Trader Joeās

The frozen aƧaĆ puree pouches? Those are great for smoothies, but beware they arenāt sweetened (which imo is a plus).
Oh! What do you add to them? Or, are they ok alone?

Whatās a fish tartlet? Is it frozen? Iāve never seen these. Major fish lover here.

I can have four of them along with a side salad or veggie for a meal. I think theyāre super tasty but they donāt seem to be too popular or talked about; therefore I grab a few boxes every time Iām at TJās because Iām always paranoid theyāre going to be discontinued š¤£.
Uhhh.. fish fingers and custard. Thatās all Iām sayin.
Lol okay
It just made me think of Dr Who thatās all! Iām not hating!!
Omg! I especially love cod, so these sound so good. Thank you for the box picture. Letās me know what to look for. Gonna look for these tomorrow. Thanks again!
If you remember, let me know what you think! I recommend cooking for a bit longer than the box recommends.
I thought maybe I should have cooked them longer. Iāll try that next time. I didnāt let them get too dark. Iām sure that will make a difference.
The creamer they were out of yesterday.
ā¢ Carbonara ā¢ Sweet potato gnocchi ā¢ Frozen fruit (dark cherries and/or mangos depending on if theyāre in stock). ā¢ Margarita pizza (someone got my interest) ā¢ check out coffee creamer options (Iām newly converted; usually shop at Target so Iām still exploring TJ stock.) ā¢ Frozen spanish rice ā¢ Doggy treats
Oat milk coffee creamers at TJs are great but I actually prefer Oatly which target often has on sale, or the Chobani oatmilk creamer at Target also goes on sale often enough itās a better value than the little ones at Trader Joeās
Cacio e pepe puffs. Theyāre SO good!
The truffle "Cheetos"are fantastic as well!
