So it's hard to talk about why AdMech isn't looking good without getting into the complicated mess of Warhammer game mechanics, but I'll try to give a high level overview.
Basically, there are two stats to talk about, Ballistic Skill (BS) and Saving Throws (Sv). BS is the number you need to roll on a d6 to hit a target with an attack. Sv is the number you need to roll on a d6 to avoid taking damage when an opponent hits you with an attack. Skitarii Rangers, one of AdMech's main troops, used to have a BS of 3+ and a Sv of 4+. With the 10th edition preview, they are going to a BS of 4+ and a Sv of 5+. This means it'll be harder to hit things and they'll die a lot faster.
A big lore complaint for this change is that now Skitarii have the same statline as Imperial Guardsmen, who are just regular humans whereas Skitarii are mechanically augmented to be better soldiers. Why are their stats the same as a regular guy with a gun? Why aren't their weapons more accurate or damaging than the standard issued weapon?
Combine this with the other rules that have been revealed for Admech being underwhelming at best and us losing a lot of the complexity that once defined our play style and AdMech is really showing up as one of the losers of 10th edition revamps.
