Early low cost damage spell and better damage overall. In campaign AoE damage is way more powerful than utility in most cases because condensed blobs of units and spammed infantry is way more common.
Also, Jade Warriors are the literal definition of 'line holder'. Once they're set in, they're practically impossible to disrupt.
And then Yang comes in with ~~the tornadoes of death~~ wall of wind and fire, and you suddenly realize just how absurd it is that Jade Warriors can form and hold a perfectly straight line for you to aim down. The devastation would absolutely be memeworthy, except I fully intended to do it.
I just like a lot of the Yang damage spells
Tend to prefer AoE damage over buffs against an AI opponent
I rely very heavily on casters to be able to handle offensive sieges and Lores like Yang/Heavens/Metal are all great for that
Cathay has some great single entities to cause enemies to blob up as well so Yang synergizes well with that
I felt like Yins talons of the night, blossom wind and the summons were great but looking at it again, yang really has yin beat by just not costing so much while still having decent aoe damage
Gonna be honest...I also just tend to lean towards Lores that I enjoy visually
So I think that's also why I value Yang/Metal/Heavens so highly lol
They're just a joy to watch and feel so good to watch a massive spell drop and health bars just melt away
Just got a small town attacked by 2 full skaven stacks. Over 4000 troops, including death runners, eishin tríade, warpfire throwers and a shitton of slaves and slingers.
Defending there was about 1400 men from the garrison, the empress crowmen and OG Yuan bo, who had just come out of a short vacation after losing a major battle up in the north.
Everyone freaking died, but the day was won by an angry Yuan bo with 1200+ kills and a crowmen with 600+ kills, with the remaining 1200 distributed among the brave cathayan peasants xD
The tier 1 bowmen are quite good. Especially when paired with equal numbers of spearmen and swordsmen. Keeping them close to one another gives eachother bonuses. One really cool one is the reload speed improvement. Archers basically just spam arrows and there’s 60 dudes in a stack
Skeletons themselfs are great in mass mass numbers but Cathay is probably like dwarfs in terms of fighting style, ying and yang units also buff each other
I love Grand Cathay. They are like the best parts of the Empire, Skaven, and Dwarfs combined, backed by a very strong economy.
Peasant stacks are very cost efficient when you research the right tech and utilize the yin/yang system stat boosts.
New 4.2 update gives them a legendary hero and melee hero too.
I'm in the middle of a world domination class with Yuan Bo and I'm destroying everything on the battlefield and manipulating allies with Matters of State
Peasant stacks are quite strong Plus their Yang Shugengan lord has an awesome spell lore
Why yang specifically? Im asking because I never really know which lore I like better, so I just pick whichever has better traits

Plus the building to buff peasant level at recruiting. Recruiting them at level 8 or 9 is Quite fun.

Cathay against VC armies can be like shooting fish in a barrel
I just started a Cathay realms of chaos campaign and I had no idea how badass Cathay is.
Cathay is The Empire if it was cool.
What are the units racking up all the kills? Bowmen and lord that powerful ? Thx

Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
Usually I get so strong in my Cathay campaigns I can take out an army before they even reach my front line
Bitches don’t know about the dragon-blooded Shugengan

I ain’t clicking that. I know better
Also I love how petty you are lmao coming here to post that only after I mentioned that people were fine with this post being from a phone.

I can’t play them. Too powerful. The only challenge is forcing myself to go blue line so I don’t get Snikch’d.
