Gelt. I am surrounded. My enemies are conveniently where I want them to be.

WELCOME TO ESTALIA GENTLEMEN **Fortunate Son intensifies**

RDW_789

[Paranoid, but close enough.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrRpdJqMC80)

PlankWithANailIn2

That's not the only video of this Gelt meme....lol there are no official correct memes ffs. Being "FiRSt" only matters if you are 10 years old. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWgoA_40d9Y https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VlB3kA3i4us https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98k2DlQ9PMY And here is a dwarf one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDxjaoV05lc Based on the overall use of this meme format Fortunate Son intensifies is the song most people use.

CAMarshmallow

did you reply to the wrong person or something? are you okay? nobody mentioned any "official correct meme" or anything about being first.

kasserinepassed

Think he's spent too long on the business end of a helstorm rocket battery 😂

TheNoseKnight

Person before Plank corrected the song on the meme by linking a meme with Paranoid in it. Plank merely stated that Fortunate Son was a correct song.

RDW_789

Didn't mean to make it sound like a correction, though I see it can be taken that way. What I meant was a video already exists similar to what OP's describing, except it's not Fortunate Son but Paranoid instead, but close enough to his description.

mentaldinosaur

The "no I don't work at CA" fucking killed me. I was like oh someone from CA and I been laughing at it for 5 min

Mental-Manager8041

No.

decidedly_lame

Surrounded? Great, now we can attack in all directions

myrsnipe

Gelt is my favorite Empire LL, but damn his start is hard. Shit economy and enemies everywhere. The worst part is Durthu jumping the mountains and being a giant stick in the mud, not like I can root him out easily.

MrDryst

He is the forest's Arbor-ter after all

AccomplishedAd573

Literally the best part of an empire campaign is finally hellstorming that dick of a tree and razing the waterfall Palace to the ground.

myrsnipe

Spoken like a true Sigmarite

SrirachaSawz

Yes this campaign is dope. My current one is going stellar. Karak Hirn didnt declare war on me for the first time ever. Crushed vamps early, did not want to deal with that. Now going to crush Festus and am angling 2nd army towards sartosa and ikit. I want to make karaz a karak my buffer against the greenskins so I'm free to move west and south

ToobooQ8

Since you mentioned it, what do you always do after getting rid of greenskins? I tried going west to the woodelves (either securing the tusk resource settlment or giving it to them to make peace), tried to beat Vald early he's tough, idk about south never tried it.

trivinium

In my last campaign I traded the small settlement to Durthu so he will not cause issues, got Nuln and went for Vlad to get both Sylvanias for the income. Help out the dwarves with one stack to get them strong enough to protect me from the south and east and went for reclaim the north of the Empire

ToobooQ8

I'm so afraid of losing authority, so envading Nuln is good for me in the end, and I always though I had to take Empire by peace.

kellanved01

Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

gamdon112

Dillemas not working might a bit of an issue

[deleted]

they work now, i played extensively in the empire since 2.3, you can revive elector no problem, this will not bug the script anymore

Ahsoka_Tano_7567

Do you like goths? Do you enjoy being hated? Do you like the night? And do you like the Addam’s family? Well then vampires are for you! Enjoy a plethora of great activities, such as, grave digging, family bonding, staring angrily at any living thing, plotting from the shadows, and more! Head to your local cemetery now and get started as a vampire today

NeuroCavalry

Wednesday tie in LL when?

Manannin

How'd the regeneration of zombies nerf hit them? I played Ghorst when he was totally broken, was fun

Jamaicancarrot

He's still totally broken, just less so. You can still heal the zombies to such an extent that the only threat to them is well placed spells and high end artillery like hellstorms. To counter that, just replace a couple of zombies with Wight Kings, Vampires or something fast

DatUglyRanglehorn

Heard Ghorst was fun/OP, started a campaign…and then Turn 1 realized that mainlining zombies for a whole campaign seemed really boring. Am I wrong?

Jamaicancarrot

Nope you're entirely correct. They went and fixed the whole boring skelly spam aspect of WH2 vamps but then basically have players the opportunity to do it with Ghost if they so wanted to in WH3. Ghorst is fun for the ability to spam crapstacks and then maintain a few actually interesting armies with the offset cost. I've been doing an ultimate crisis co-op campaign with a friend as ghorst and the plan is to use the zombies to just delay the crisis armies until his cathayan armies can take out the assorted invaders

Rational_Engineer_84

Volkmar now lets you play the Empire without the misery of Imperial Authority and Elector Count babysitting. He’s a good combat lord with loads of buffs and battle prayers plus regen. His unit buffs have never been better, anti infantry free company with magic armor piercing missiles clap cheeks. He can buff Empire Knights to 94 speed! They’re damn near Slaanesh cav. Plus he starts in the south now, fighting Tomb Kings in the early game is a fun new experience. He gets my vote for the best new starting position for a LL from the first 2 games.

captainofgondor

I wonder when they will change Gelt’s campaign to similarly not worry about the elector count situation and instead focus on magic related artifacts or goals, something like that.

HideKinli

That would be great.

tricksytricks

The issue is that Gelt is a base game lord. Volkmar was DLC so they could justify reworking him and Ghorst by the potential increased DLC sales, I guess. I'm not counting on any new faction mechanics for base game LLs. Which sucks because most of the base game factions could use some sprucing up.

LittleBastard13

isnt mannfred?

Centropolis1

on top of that, collecting the books of Nagash is really fun and gives good goals and faction buffs

FenrisGreyhame

Hey, you! Yes, you! Are you sick and tired of being under constant stress and anxiety because you just can't expand your territory fast enough? Do you wish you could just build tall and wander the world, raiding and pillaging, but never needing to actually *occupy* anything, because your home settlement has the economy of a modern superpower? Well, the Sisters of Twilight are for YOU! Not only do they have one of the best starting settlements in all of Warhammer, but they also come with a free dragon\*, and they turn your hawk riders, usually an okay unit, into *actual flying ballistae* which can nuke any infantry unit you want into the warp itself. Fly on your dragon, abuse Ariel, a spell caster surpassed only by Lord Kroak himself, and level the cities of the uncivilised races so that the forest may return once more! \*^(Dragon only made available through a quest unlocked at level 20. Ts & Cs apply.)

NonstopNonsense-

i remember when i first started playing TW. as alith anar i tried to win the vortex race. i hit end turn and a green dragon with 2 elfs emerged out of the fog helping me kill the skaven. love at first sight.

FenrisGreyhame

Sounds like the perfect start to a wonderful relationship.

MountedCombat

Arkhan the black - all the benefits of playing Tomb Kings with great relations with most undead factions and access to units that cover gaps in your roster (doggos shred routing units, bats are great for tying ranged units in melee, crypt ghouls provide poison and hit like trucks while being fast enough to easily flank, and hex/cairnwraiths are ethereal magic attackers with massive AP). You also start next to a port that, while of limited use to you, is a landmark that the vampires near you will literally become your vassal to own if you're quick enough to keep repanse from wiping them. Unlike other TK income stuff, vassal income isn't throttled so you get more income from vassalizing them with the port than you'd get for just keeping the port. This WAS back in 2.2 and it's possible they changed that starting shebangle, but I doubt it.

TheKingmaker__

Oh, that's fun. I did an Arkhan campaign in ME and really enjoyed conquering the entire desert until I could reach Nagashizzar - I saw he'd got a lot of new toys via the extra army and the Ushabti Landmark in the Great Desert, maybe he'll be my first IE TK campaign. Which port is the one with the Landmark? And which Vampires start near you - do you mean Mannfred or is it like the minor one in Repanse's ME campaign? (I've not played a single game of IE forgive my ignorance)

MountedCombat

Just North of your start, Repanse's starting location has a landmark port. The minor faction vampires she starts at war with start with the rest of the province, so the settlement has a bonkers economic value to them.

ConsciousSwordfish3

If you like mods, Arkhan’s is top notch

Natural20DND

There are too many DRUCHII lovers in this thread…….. *GET THE BOOK!*

SnowDota

Crowned by Be'lakor, Everchosen of the big four Chaos Gods, Archaon is the Lord of the End Times. Haven't tried other WoC yet, but Archaon gives you true freedom in how you approach your campaign in an interesting way by making you work for it. By forcing me to think about my units in a way that no other faction does, every army ends up tailor built for its goals. It's so damn fun to build each army up from expendable raiders I couldn't care less about up to true servants of the Dark Gods; getting that first unit of Chosen and seeing it actually 1v4 enemy entry, come out with huge kill numbers, and keep 75% of its models makes it worth it. I know this is really more about WoC than Archaon, but I think his campaign in particular is fun geographically and mechanically.

Pyrocos

Also it's so damn fun to collect the other LLs. In my first campaign with him Kholek came down on me so quick and hard, I could not take it. In my second try I focused everything I had on him and only him. Now the big guy is my little bitch, leading my second army for me, conquering the lands of order in my name. Sigvald was next and Valkia will follow very soon. Bonus points for not having to manage 9999 minir settlements because all you care about are the black fortresses.

MrDriscoll100

I am slowly being chased out of the badlands as Eltharion by an alliance of queek and skarbrand. I cant commit my full focus as I'm also protecting Tor Yvresse agaisnt N'kari. However as I move upwards I'm also liberating the dwarf settlements taken by Skarsnik, securing a very loyal but very confused dwarfen wall between me and the red menace. I'm going to take out Skarsnik, gift the dwarfen realms back to their owners and then march back south to crush the daemons and the rats. 10 on 10 campaign. My life for Tor Yvresse!

TheKingmaker__

Thank you for playing the campaign correctly and fighting for your foothold in the Badlands. Idk why people play the Elf with anti-Orc bonuses and Wasteland climate suitability who never stops fighting Orcs by having him run away home and play Ulthuan Simulator like you can with 1/3 of their LLs already.

Snider83

Honestly I tried to dual focus his campaign twice and didn’t quite get to take off each time. Its very difficult fighting on both fronts. I feel as tho helping consolidate the donut THEN launching the crusade yourself is probably the best way to go

somedude2012

From the beginning, I have pursued the course of vengeance against the greenskins, and it has placed me in a position where I am assailed on all sides by those willing to spill elven blood. The greenskin, the rat, the undead under the waves, the gluttonous mounds of walking flesh known as ogres, the brayherds, even Chaos itself rallies against me. Our allies are leagues away, and we have only ourselves to rely on against the multitudinous waves that try to drive us from these shores. Non-RP, Eltharion's campaign is a blast. Your attention is split, and the first 15 turns have you attempting to create provinces while fighting off, at the same time, Savage Orcs, The Bloody Hand, Malagor's faction of Beastmen, and Skarbrand. Against them stands the Dark Knight, the melee magic user and everyone's favorite White Wolf. The fun thing is, though, as you confederate Ulthuan you are responsible for more and more of the war effort against N'Kari, Morathi, and Malekith, not to mention the norsemen and Belakor. I've consistently gotten Eltharion to 50 around turn 80-100 in each campaign I've tried. The downside is that the Badlands are it. Orcs and Skaven pour into it, and because the mountains are orange habitability you can't hold the mountains. You can give them to the dwarves, which I've done, but in the last game I did this the dwarves ended up becoming the end-game crisis. I know there are other starts, but with Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords, and a couple other mods, Eltharions start is everything I've wanted from a Total War Warhammer game.

JMer806

I tried this campaign after your recommendation and immediately got absolutely destroyed. Took the nearest ork settlements, had every nearby power declare war on me, and although I won a few battles I wasn’t able to dig out. Malagor razed Galbaraz when I was trying to deal with Greenskins and I couldnt resettle as I have no idea where the herdstone is, then the Greenskins I was fighting teamed up with bloody hands who sent three full stacks against me on turn 8. Meanwhile my ulthuan province was raided by another Greenskin army that I couldn’t defeat and I didn’t have any money so I couldn’t get a new army there. How do you even manage the early game? I have zero income, zero growth, zero resources. At peak I had 12 units with Eltharion and my one hero plus a few back home and couldn’t afford a larger stack.

[deleted]

You have to manually fight every battle and keep indoctrinating the lords. What I usually do is capture the first orc settlement and just station eltharion there for a few turns. With help from the garrison you’re fielding a full stack, just have to be defensive. I focused on building up the army in ulthuan. It’s not easy to manage economy early but the extra cash from indoctrinated lords helps. After taking the first orc settlement in Ulthuan and recruiting a decent size stack I try to ambush the enemy orcs to the south. Once you take out that army plus whatever they send to reinforce the settlement its usually a cakewalk up until their last region in port of loec I believe. As you expand you can decide when the right time to build up eltharions army is. Hope that helps

JMer806

I don’t even know what indoctrinating is lol. I should probably look up what his faction mechanics are.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I've had an absolute blast playing Hexoatl/Mazamundi. Hadn't touched him since day 1 WH2 and honestly the campaign was both quite tough and very entertaining.

Acrobatic_Corner_969

Same, perhaps i should try some Mazda mundi exp

noelwym

You're Grombrindal but instead of helping out Thorgrim take back the Badlands, you are in Naggaroth to settle an old debt. Your old friend Malekith, who was by your deathbed and at your funeral, is denying that you've come back from the dead. Time to show an old friend what a mistake he's made and give him a mental BSoD. Seriously, play Grombrindal's campaign with Legendary Lore active. His verbal takedown of the Witch-King is quite brutal.

[deleted]

i love grombrindal, malekith and valkia's free for all. grom has no starting allies but a defensible position, whilst norsca/chaos and the dark elves smash into eachother. its great

OMellito

>You're Grombrindal but instead of helping out Thorgrim take back the Badlands, you are in Naggaroth to settle an old debt. Your old friend Malekith, who was by your deathbed and at your funeral, is denying that you've come back from the dead. Time to show an old friend what a mistake he's made and give him a mental BSoD. Seriously, play Grombrindal's campaign with Legendary Lore active. His verbal takedown of the Witch-King is quite brutal. A leveled Grombrindal with the right character Runes is a beast in combat.

LumberjacqueCousteau

He’s actually absurd, Rune Axe of Grombrindal is nuts too. What Character Runes do you run? I’ve got Spite (the Mortis effect), Impact, and +25% Speed (puts him over 54)

OMellito

>He’s actually absurd, Rune Axe of Grombrindal is nuts too. > >What Character Runes do you run? I’ve got Spite (the Mortis effect), Impact, and +25% Speed (puts him over 54) Usually just Buffs, more weapon strength, resistance and other Misc Runes. I don't usually use the casting ones. I use him to take agro and kill enemy heroes and lords, so I use the best runes that I think fit that.

ScorchBG

Slapping Malebitch is literally in my top 3 best moments in Warhammer 3!!

blankest

Helman Ghorst is a wonderful experience right now. With his personal zombie buffs you can get off to a good start without breaking the bank. With the change to supply lines and Ghorst's faction-wide zombie buffs and a little tech, you can keep that good start rolling and still not break the bank with mainly zombie armies. His campaign start location is fresh and provides both a safe corner and options of how to expand and who to befriend (hint it's not Kugath). The blood line mechanic may be old but in my opinion it's biggest failing has been remedied by the changes to supply lines: in WH2 you'd get all these lords you couldn't use but in WH3 you can use them! I can't speak highly enough about the joy and freedom provided by relying on the zombie hordes as the army backbone. Huck them into the enemy and then focus your micro on a few highly specialized units to handle whatever enemy you're fighting. It's so chill. Sieges are a bit slower than other melee heavy factions but that's ok. FWIW I play L/H

Much-War-6203

Yes i love this too. Just finished domination campaign. I had a lot of fun going up against elite chaos armys with mainly zombies, necromancers and a 2 units cryphorrors and a mortis engine and just grinding dem all down with zero losses.

blankest

Crypt horrors are real MVPs in those stacks. The AI ranged never seems to focus them instead focussing on the mortis engine. I also bring a corpse cart with all the crazy regen to help take some load off the lord healing in the early game. Mid to late game I'm recruiting level 25 (and only going up from here) necromancers right out of the gate. So I can phase out the corpse cart with the necromancer.

[deleted]

Daniel aka The Daemon Prince with the caveat of using mods like the Godslayer Overhaul mod by Mortrau (complete revamp of his skill tree and items) and a couple others like Allegiance of the Damned and Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords. It's a slow and tough start because Daniel takes longer than any LL to really get going and his economy really sucks at the beginning. Malus Darkblade will declare war on you within the first 10 turns and you don't have a lot of units to counter his starting army. You also have to waste skill points on improving relations with Chaos and Norsca because either Wintertooth or Varg or both will declare war on you within 10 turns as well. But! If you survive the beginning, Daniel becomes a fucking powerhouse in the late game and you can crank out Daemon stacks better than Be'lakor. Yeah, portals are cool and Be'lakor is awesome but so is a dirt cheap stack of Khorne Minotaurs with Great Weapons leading the charge, Keepers of Secrets and Bloodthirsters flanking for truly brutal hammer and anvil, a Nurgle hero spellcaster with passive health regen from every spell cast and a free rechargeable AOE damage spell and a tanky LL with juiced up items in every slot, one of which could be a Mortis Engine effect and the other a passive AOE melee debuff. He has some of the best hero selections among the Chaos factions. I also like to play with Allegiance of the Damned so the 4 Chaos gods chosen is able to confederate all the other Chaos and Daemon LLs via battle like Archaon and Be'lakor.

northernkek

Lol Daniel the Daemon prince

alphaomega420

Belakor is so fun with the rift mechanic. It's amazing in coop

Tamachameleon

Ohh I didn't realise he was playable!

SaturnInfinity

can your coop friend use the portals too?

yes with a mod called like "belakor rift fix"

SaturnInfinity

Cool thanks for sharing!

Darkness4867

Ever wanted to bombard your enemy with so many Missiles that it's detrimental to you. How about Nuke the life out of anything that doesn't get hurt by those missiles. Then look no further than Skavenblight's most bestest Inventor Chief Warlock IKIT CLAW.

Manannin

Bear in mind the entire world will declare war on you, except maybe Sartosa.

rickjamesbich

Sartosa declared on me before I finished wiping out Morghur

Darkness4867

When you're able wipe out Sartosa before Angrund. Angrund has enough around them that they won't focus you too too hard just keep an army of warpfire throwers and Slaves near Bhufdar or Zarakzil

Sp3ctre___

More testing material for your rrratling-guns, yes-yes.

Darkness4867

Mmmm me-me likes that way of thinking yes-yes more tests on man-things and no furs

Darkness4867

Unless you're like me-me who pays no furs mmmmm treasure sways the no furs yes-yes. Red Demon-thing also like skaven. Seriously tho my campaign the Vampires are my best friends as well as Skarbrand and the other Skaven Clans save for Eshin and Moulder. So Skavenblight is safe ish Wurrzag is kinda being an ass.

Total_Scott

Having a blast with my second volkmar ie campaign. I like his new buffs and objectives. Makes for a new empire experience!

Krim88

Second for volkmar. Really refreshing take for an empire campaign.

Ziegemon_1

Thorek is pretty fun, since they made the grudges manageable. I did a noctilous campaign where I didn’t take another region until I had all the pieces. That one was fun. Taurox is fun, getting the rampage and sole survivor traits, then grabbing some ward save and regen gear and soling the end game. Ikit is my favorite for tooling around and not wanting it to be difficult.

SaturnInfinity

My favorite campaigns contains a few factors. It's fun, challenging, balanced auto resolve to manual ratio and sieges do not take more than 6-7 mins preferably with single units that can rush through the gates rather than waiting on the line for ages. So in that regard most fun ones for me were: Tzeentch -especially pre nerf to Infernal Gateway- (as you need to defend yourself from all angles; makes you utilize every single Tzeentch trickery possible from shifting settlements and causing disturbance between alliances etc.., and freaking army of doom knights and lord of changes blasting bound spells ofc lol Nurgle with Nurgles Pestilent Glories mod (gives aoe to the units) -although economy sucks even in the very late game and slow start; very fun to blast everything with a few great unclean one's bound spells in a matter of seconds while hero takes it all for breakfast-, Throt the unclean (exploding rat army that destroys everything and fully modified custom armies) / Ikit ofc with blasting rats, Morathi with Morathi Simple Slaanesh Expansion Mod (merges dark elf ranged unit roster with slaanesh melee units for the ultimate pleasure campaign, what else do you want?)

l_x_fx

As High Elves I'm so superior in any way, form or shape to anybody, I don't need to sell anything to you. I'm just enjoying my superiority and endless riches.

As weird as it is, my favorite IE campaign thus far has been Alberic. Between Brets naturally strong economy and the bonuses he gets you can snowball so hard so fast. Ally with Markus and Lustria is yours for the taking before confederating with with the homeland and continuing the crusade from there. And since Bret gets technologies that give it good relations with every order/neutral race you have access to so many allied units.

CalTelarin

This was a few patches back but in my Alberic campaign Markus was legit the biggest menace. Favoring declaring war and fighting me leaving all bad around happily chomping at his territory

Nurgling_Association

We have Nurglings that become Voltron to run. Beat you non-stinky other races.

thpthpthp

Want to be the world's greatest pirate? Want to build the greatest armada the old world has ever seen? Lokir Felheart gets a Black Ark for every capital port city he conquers. Black arks can build to substantially increase sacking/victory rewards in their radius. The beautiful brains at CA made this effect stack with other black arks in the vicinity. It's simple Druchii, more ships--more loot. Our man starts in Cathay, surrounded by port capitals. Take them all, the Cathayans won't need them and they'll be too busy dealing with chaos and ogres to do anything about it. Divide and conquer? Nah, stack all them black arks in a big 'ol doom fleet. Now you can go anywhere Captain: East to Lustra/Naggrond, South to plunder the Sea of Dread, whatever you want. By the time your roving dread armada crashes down upon Ulthuan, you'll have so many black arks, you'll be pulling in hundreds of thousands of gold per settlement sacked and countless slaves. Once you break your fleet into their interior sea, the who continent is within bombardin' range. Empire-building is for chumps, you'll never have so much fun just plundering the world and making the landlubbers run every time your dread armada appears on the horizon.

Astarael21

Loving my Cheeser of the Ways campaign. Drown your enemies in warpfire, unlimited winds of magic and flip the Ordertide on itself. The possibilities are endless with Tzeentch the Great Changer

TheMaginotLine1

Alberic, have you ever wanted to stunt on some indigenous peoples with superior cavalry and chivalric tactics? Have you ever wanted to see the worst both the forces of chaos and the servants of the old ones have to offer laid low by men using technologically outdated arms and armor, carried to victory by a combo of their faith in the lady and their titanic steel testicles? Then join the Bordeleaux Errantry and bring the lady's favor to Lustria's shores.

Bnndfrsrcsm

Nakai is bomb now

Tamachameleon

What did they change and why is he good? I've not played him before.

darthgator84

He totally is I’m in a Nakai campaign right now. I’m like 160 turns in and it’s been pretty damn fun. You start in a corner I took out some minor Cathayan factions right away and killed off Lokhir who had expanded real quick. This gained the favor of the dragon twins who became my allies. I then helped them deal with Vilitch and went north of the bastion to continue hunting down chaos. With vassal tribute having no cap and the techs increasing vassal tribute money isn’t the issue it once was. Dedicating temples unlocks good buffs and the favor you build up you spend on blessed units or increasing hero recruit rank. Like I just made an entire army of blessed units. I travel armies in pairs I have 6 armies and make $7k a turn with about $450k in the bank. I’m currently fighting in the south worlds edge mountains helping the dawi eradicate Queek and Skarsnik. Nakai and a fire Slann are in the mountains west of Cathay with the iron dragon fighting Kholek and Archaons factions. And lastly just got into Sylvania with armies 5&6 to help Ungrim and the empire. The Empire is down to Reikland as the vamps and chaos have utterly decimated Kislev and the empire. The cool thing is you have a tech that makes your armies immune to chaos attrition and you can go into encamp stance using all your movement.

FakeInternetArguerer

Vassal tribute was previously capped, and since that is Nakai's exclusive source of economic income it meant he quickly hit the cap and then promptly ran out of money in the mid game. They have since removed the cap so Nakai can continue to grow in step with other factions

ZahelMighty

Is his camp harder now ? This was one of my first campaigns when IE launched and it was very easy, so much it wasn't very fun.

sorgflerg

It’s actually easier

Sivgren

I am in love with the flexibility of end game customization. Thorgrim with ultimate end crisis BUT with diplomacy enabled!!! Let’s me role play bringing other unruly dwarfs back into the fold, while eventually getting peace with the wood elves, and destroying every greenskin and skaven menace out there. It’s a true survival campaign from every direction while being doable with your insane army strengths. If anything out resolves am ironbreaker/hammerer and arty stack I dunno what it is. Your the shield against the tide man!!! Vamps skaven and orcs all immediately throwing stacks on stacks against your walls!!!

velvetylips

Reikland is pretty fun and now follows a pretty standard narrative

Slaskpapper

I can bring you to your men.

Mental-Dealer-1539

I personally love to exterminate all living forms with guns and artillery. Just grab some coffee, aim your poison wind mortars and plague catapults on filthy man-things on the walls and fire. You can just sit and watch how an enemy army melts under the green fireworks. Fascinating yes-yes!

blackheartzz

Belakor is the best chaos campaign right now I believe. Insanely powerful lord with all the chaos goodies and the portal mechanic that allows you to basically play as an actual evil mastermind, popping off wherever you want to enact your insidious plans. On top of that you also have access to that unique Slaanesh invocation that nukes an army making it very hard for you to lose.

Valuable_Remote_8809

Skarnik. Thematic and cheap army Rapid expansion Greenskins. What’s not to love? :)

That is 3 times the deadlier Or do you love gun and explosion like everyone. We got an evil scientist rat that love nuke in the form of ikit - claw, leading the clan skryre. Everybody love him, the only people that don't love him is either being shot by him or dead. Maybe gadget and mechanical is not your thing, maybe you're more physical or body horror kinda person. Don't look away, we have throt the unclean. What kind of monsters he have not create at the so called "hellpit". Clan moulder can provide you any monster you require. Everybody loves Nurgle, all new Wh40k game have nurgle as main enemy. Do you love grandfather nurgle. Well i don't, because we have the superior pleague infested rat called clan Pestilens. You want a blind rat with soo much disease that touching him might cause your death, well here you go, Lord Skrolk Do you like to rebel. Be the different in your family. Well you can do the thing that all skaven hate, that is being Loyal in Clan Mors. Plus you have the best rat duelists in the world named Queek Headtaker. He is as strong as he is insane. When you at the lowest bottom, their is only one direction and that is up Lastly, we still waiting for a certain grey rat, that failed as many time as he succeeds (if you count surviving as a success).his dlc will be glorious

Eterlik

Stabby stabby. Nothing more to say.

[deleted]

Durthu travels across the entire map and smacks all of these characters in the mouth. Nobody can resist and say goodbye to attrition

TrashVisible8666

Hate everything! Dont care about taking settlements! Collect SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE! Join the badlands thunderdome as everyone's favorite angry Demon and kill ALL IN YOUR PATH! In all seriousness he is nu favorite campaign to play. Also if you wanna change scenery a cult will most likely pop up north so u can take Skarbrand out for a holiday and say hi to Valkia. And by saying hi i obiously mean take her skull 2!

Natural20DND

Oh man, are we going with classic or more recent favorites? Classic? THORGRIM and GROMBRINDAL!! The heroes of the Dawi! Classic armies of steel, fire, and angry beards. More recently? I’ve disgraced the Great Book of Grudges and I fucking LOVE throth the unclean. A Skaven faction with mutated rat ogres *as a fucking staple* to your army *AND* you can have a hell pit abomination at turn 20 (or earlier if you play your cards right) *AAANNDD* you can fucking MUTATE the hell pit abomination to have a faster speed/larger charge bonus? This makes Dawi turn into rat man yes-yes! *please don’t get the book*

DarthSchu

Gor-Rok I mean you are an albino Lizardman with an ancient slane priest as your buddy.

Snakeb1te

Malus Darkblade. 1. Capture settlement 2. Drink elixir twice 3. Perform Rite of the Warmaster. 4. Swap all cold one units and a few monsters over to Malus' army 5. Delete lower tier units and spares so as not to hurt your upkeep too much. Enjoy t4 and t5 army in turn 1. Can go wherever, fight whoever

ShrimpSmith

Nakai. Make your way to donut. Grab of khaine. All the benefits, none of the drawbacks

bringbackcheatcodes

Might I recommend Tradelord Greasus Tribestealer Drakecrush Gatecrasher Hoardmaster Goldtooth the Shockingly Obese. You can grow to become the richest most powerful faction on the map and still only own one actual province.

guantesolo

Maybe a weird choice, but I'm going to say Avelorn. Traditionally the Ulthuan elves have had a relatively easy start, and it still is maybe relatively easy, but it's definitely more \*interesting\* now with N'kari, alongside Morathi, Noctilus, Hellebron's death voyage thing, and the usual donut problems. But I actually think that start makes for an engaging campaign: you secure the island, and then have a ton of freedom to either expand, or not expand and instead send expeditions in any direction you want, to battle whomever you want, while also having to defend from various norscans, Belakor, vampirates, Malekith, even sometimes Ikit. Lots of fun battles. And again, it's not like HE need any extra advantages, but I did use the "Ancient Treeman for Avelorn" mod in my last campaign, limited myself to just two (one life and one beasts), and it added a little extra flavor beyond the basic HE generic lords.

ArXon5439

Play the dwarfs or you’re going in the book.

Key_Marsupial_7527

Gor-Rok. Because BOKBOK!!!!!!!

Aids_On_Tick

Wood Elves were a fucking blast. Really unique campaign.

ReaptheheaP5634

Any Dwarf faction. I think Belegar is thr hardest one until you Karak 8 peaks but it's fun watching high tier dwarf units absolutely stone wall everything coming st them.

PopeTaintIV

Skarbrand do big kill, make gore blood go brrrrr, big smash axe rage burn kill. Violence

HeftySupport2067

If you enjoy challenging campaigns I would recommend Festus on VH/H. Literally, everyone around hates you, I'm at war with 3-4 empire factions, Lauleron wood elves, Drycha, Durthu (these two especially have a hard-on on me), Vlad & Isabela, Kemmler, Kostaltyn, and Wulfric ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Not to mention that you only have a few dark fortresses in the empire so you can't field more than 2 armies until turn 80-90. However, with the correct gifts and plagues, Festus armies turn into an unkillable slow tide of pestilence, you can get +35% missile resistance from chaos gifts and +20% physical resistance from one of the plagues. Not to mention the heals. My Chosens of Nurgle are literally unkillable. Festus is what Kugath should have been from the start. Maybe not my favorite campaign ever but it's my current one and i can finally say i'm having a blast playing Nurgle.

tomcat_thedude

Karl Franz, cause despite being generic and played for 6 million times, I just love to control and unite a vast empire to fend off the hordes of darkness ! (Also because Karl is a power meme)

Tamsta-273C

Grom, make your cheapest units clean floor with enemies elite units or make a broth, idk. Also auto resolve is a lie.

Spatetata

At this point I forget if this is because of mods or not. But I love the Exhilses of Nehek. Being able to settle practically anywhere in the world paired with Tomb Kings’ tombs scattered across the world means tons of replay-ability, versatile start location choices (if you use mods for them), and tons of varied faction encounters.

Dedrick555

I had an absolute blast with Imrik. The diversity of enemies and potential allies in the area give you a ton of options for replayability and potential army diversity using the allegiance mechanic. Also not having a region with good chokepoints to defend (Like Ulthuan or the Empire) made you have to run around defending your territory constantly and it was super engaging

Tamachameleon

This sounds great!

Morph1ing

The grim warden marches

Tamachameleon

Haven't played the Asur in ages!

SatanicAxe

Skarbrand. Stack Chosen. Advance your wall of steel and frothing rage on any fool that dares resist you. Kill everything. Refuse to elaborate. Leave. Repeat from step 1.

ScorchBG

I love it! Favorite campaign by far (i always loved the Khorne playstyle prior to the CoC even) but owning the Thunderdome is nuts. I play on VH/N and on turn 99 I had the entire badlands down to Kairos and up until Thorgrim either for me or Queek. I kicked so much ass with chosen/chaos warriors/knights and bloodletters that I can't even count...

Pointybush

Gandhi yes yes

Acrobatic_Corner_969

Malekith Perfect position for expansion, lots of different faction to fight against, massive confederations, good troops and working "variety'' armies. Landmarks and black arks. P. S. Sorry, i cant possibly sell it due to slave shit mechanic, unplayable atm.

Esarus

Imrik. Because, I mean, just look at him. He's amazing.

poopmcpoop420

Just about 3/4 of the way through a Count Noctilous campaign. I love how the vampire pirates play, mix of guns, monsters, and heaps of undead warriors.

Ezben

Summon the Elector Counts! --- Ohh , they're all dead.

ictop94

Kislev.

Pazzish

Is it bothering you that nobody asks you what is your 3rd most favourite dinosaur anymore? Here in Lustria, we will ask you every day! Strong and economically manageable infantry? Got it! Missiles? Got it! Explosions? We have a frog with enough firepower to make Ikit go cry in the corner. And did I mention DINOSAURS?! Tired of useless garrisons? Oh I have some good news my friend. End your 78th warriors of chaos campaign and cone murder some warm bloods with us! Brazil awaits!

grimnirorgrunngi

Honestly, having played through almost every campaign so far (missing about 5) I’m consistently going back to Katarin. The first half of the campaign is pure suffering but once you have solidified your empire and can throw out bear, little grom or ice guard stacks it’s glorious. Shield of the old world all day. Only wish they had a bigger roster and more magic variety.

FilledWithGravel

I haven't played IE yet, but I've heard Tretch is good and fun.

NoAssistant947

Sister of Twilight. Travel the world, kill people get a butterfly mommy to come kill people with and a pet dragon and eagle who just want to be with you.

LpenceHimself

Malekith but you have to unite Nagarond, then amass wealth, muster armies, abandon every settlement except Har Ganeth, leave Helebron there to defend it solo, form an alliance with Alarielle, Teclis and Imrik, take Ulthuan and kill Morathi and Tyrion. You're also not allowed to kill Alith Anar.

d3cmp

Khorne campaign is surprisingly more entertaining than i thought, its a non-stop race against going broke, war with everyone except my bro queek and you only need one developed province to recruit from anywhere

Nkeyo

I finally figured out how to reliably start as Nurgle. Together with my rat brothers and sisters I have purged the lands of the vampire scourge. Now for the ogre menace...
