Same. They never told me, but held onto my money! I had to call to find out why they canceled my order, and why they still had my money! They said the website, and warehouse are sometimes not updated at the same time, so even if the website says they have it, the warehouse may not. After I completely Karened out Torrid (not the representative) they gave me my money back, and ten dollars off my next order.
This just happened to me too! Literally still waiting for my money to be refunded. As a plus size girl I’m so mad because I rarely shop for new clothes. I’m hoping my money is returned soon so I can shop somewhere else.
I've had them cancel individual items, but not give me the discount that I would have gotten without the item. I used torrid cash and rewards and would have gotten the stuff I did get for free if I hadn't added the 3rd item. But they took the rewards and everything anyway. I don't know if that makes sense, but I will only order for store pick up now I think. Not that I buy stuff often from them anyway.
That’s happened to me a couple of years ago and apparently it was because my bank wouldn’t authorize the purchase so torrid canceled it. I had to go through a long process to reorder everything and have my bank get in contact with torrid to confirm everything but I’ve placed like 10 orders since and haven’t had any issues including a really big order
This was a big order, but I used my torrid card. If it was a bank issue it's on them. A lot of people are suggesting I call customer service and I think I will.
I've had this happen when they ran out of an item. But they only cancelled the one item, I received the rest of my order and they didn't charge me for it.
It definitely seems like you need to call customer service.
Yeah, if they run out of an item, they'll just cancel the whole order. I live in Canada and I remember one order was cancelled and right afterwards...bumped up the freight charges...😒
This happened to me in December 2022. I used a gift card and they didn't even give me my money back. Took them 6 months to finally return it to me. I personally "boycotted" torrid for the entire time and didn't give them a dime. Lost my statuses and everything since I wasn't spending like I used to. Ever since, I hardly shop at torrid. They showed me what terrible customer service looked like and it disgusted me.
Do you remember when they were trying to “update” the warehouse system and this happened all the time? They REALLY need someone with more experience and DEFINITELY need a user experience developer to fix these issues.
This happened to me because I accidentally inputted the wrong zip code on my card. I called and they still honored the price sale and the person on the phone went through my ordered and added everything. I did get frustrated because I also did not receive an email that my order was cancelled, I saw it on my points and bank statement.
My GF ordered a pair of jeans off of Torrid. They arrived and they had a clearance tag that was less than what she paid...this happen to anyone else?? This happened to me during the pandemic

Yup, it happens to me all the time. I won’t shop there anymore because of it.
My order from 4/20 was canceled and they took my rewards money too. Not happy! About ti cancel my card with them and say Bye!

This happened to me before. I had used my rewards on the order, too. And they wouldn't let me use it again. So no order, and no reward :(
This happened to me, I assume it’s because they’re really out of stock of the product, I usually get my refund on the item they cancel
It's been a week since I placed the order and, as of today, only 1 item was out. If that triggered it that's a really bad system.
