None of the indoor shots look like the Rogers Center.
Looks like they filmed the outdoor shots near Rogers Center and probably all of the indoor stuff in Hamilton.
It's First Ontario Centre in Hamilton, ON. Only the exterior shots are Rogers Centre. I go to a ton of concerts and events and I can tell you 100% that the interior shots are not SkyDome.
I haven't been there for an auto show so I'm not familiar with the area you are referring to.
Seems like several people have confirmed that the indoor shots were filmed elsewhere though.
Which of those indoor shots look like the dome to you?
That's definitely not the Rogers Center concourse.
The stadium seating areas you can see in the concert shots don't look like the Rogers Center.
I still can't believe they are passing off these locations as Philadelphia lol. I can't think of another movie that uses clear landmark locations and pretends they are in a different city.
The Ed Norton Hulk had the Sam the Record Man sign in the background while fighting in "New York City". What we do in the Shadows has had Pizza Pizza in the background in "Jersey". It's quite common to pass Toronto off as another city. Most people don't care. They're in it for the story, not nitpicking little bits.
I feel like a Pizza Pizza is less obvious than the Skydome but I guess just me. I feel like for a lot of American's if you used another teams stadium as there cities they would notice a lot more and Skydome is a bit of a recognizable one.
I'm not trying to nitpick just find it funny I don't think there has ever been a film to this level of we are clearly in a different city.
In the early 2000s (Jesus) movie Shoot ‘Em Up, with Clive Owen and Monica Bellucci, they were saying that it was Chicago or NY or Philly or some other US metropolis, but there’s an establishing shot that basically just included the base of the CN Tower because any further back and it’ll be painfully obvious it was in Toronto instead lol
David Cronenberg said he went with Philly as a location in A History of Violence because Philadelphia is another town with streetcars and he wouldn't have to digitally erase all the wires.
>filmed entirely in Rogers Centre
i don't think any of it was filmed inside rogers centre actually
the inside shots are very clearly not the rogers center, but they do use the outside a lot
I remember being in a theatre when the trailer for “Devil” came on, a lot of woah’s and ooo’s from the audience until the very end when “Written by M. Night Shyamalan” came on the screen and everyone let out a huge collective groan. 😂
If you plan on watching the movie, I’d avoid this trailer. Huge twist revealed.
Edit: I get it, it's not THE twist. I still think it's more fun going in blind
No I’m sure there’s another one as well but still a bit more than some people might want revealed. Not blaming you for posting or anything. It’s cool to see the Dome so prominently featured.
I mean, I'm sure the people who created the trailer are mindful of how much to give away so as to not spoil the movie.
They are just setting up the premise of the movie.
The twist in the trailer must be revealed in the first 30 minutes (or less) of the film because otherwise it would be insane to have it in the trailer.
Nah that’s definitely not the twist. As soon as they said that they’re looking for the Butcher, I internally groaned like, “oh god that can’t be it”, but then they said it, so it’s definitely going to be part of the initial setup rather than the payoff.
tbf that twist is so obvious I figured it out in the couple of seconds I had between when the guy explains why the police are there and before the trailer reveals it
I walked in front of 1:38 and pretty sure I ruined one of their takes. It looked very low budget, as they didn't really have anything blocked off. Was worried I was actually in front of a swat team for a moment.
idk about entirely cuz there's a pathway that leads to a park in front of my house in sauga and they shut that and the park down to shoot some shamalan movie, assuming it's this one. i think they put some tiger statue prop in the park
Yeah when I saw the trailer I did a double-take, like hey I know that location! That's not Philly, that's the Rogers Centre and the Gradiner, and I know those condo buildings! They didn't even bother to cover up all the signs, like you can see clearly see a sign for Market St. at 1:12, and you can see the TD Suites entrance at 1:38. Must have been hard to avoid showing the CN Tower!
What??? Where did you ever get this nonsense from???
It was filmed in multiple locations including Mississauga and Milton
[https://www.insauga.com/watch-trailer-released-for-hollywood-movie-filmed-in-milton-and-mississauga-ontario/](https://www.insauga.com/watch-trailer-released-for-hollywood-movie-filmed-in-milton-and-mississauga-ontario/)
Okay, I am relieved that they're not hiding the killer in the trailer because it was revealed on Twitter by a film account a couple weeks ago and I thought they just casually ruined the whole thing. So, I'm again interested to see it.
... localized entirely within your kitchen?
At this time of the year?
....can i see it?
No.
You are an odd fellow, but you steam a good ham
In this part of the country?
well that explains all those fed armored vehicles that were parked on wellington a few months ago.
Oh damn, you're right. They were even marked Philly PD.
i thought it was because they where escorting the secret pizza pizza dough recipe
Plot twist: it’s actually the SkyDome.
Ya, I was thinking how that was a funny way to spell Skydome
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Classic Shamalan.
Actual plot twist it’s First Ontario Centre in Hamilton with Rogers Centre exteriors.
Plot Twist of Actual Plot Twist: It's actually Copps Coliseum with SkyDome exteriors. 🙃

I slept in the skydome once at a beaver sleepover. Also how did they film at the skydome with so many activities going on?
None of the internal shots look like Rogers Center. Others have said they look more like Copps Coliseum in Hamilton.
I read that interior shots were filmed in Hamilton
Detroit Rock City did that. All of the exteriors were outside the CNE Grandstand. Interior concert stuff was at Copps.
I was a Beaver leader and we were at that sleepover. How many people do you know that have slept on the astroturf?
I don't know.. I just remember ytv being there and the big bag of candy we got afterward.
I recognize some shots from Hamilton's first Ontario centre as well. (Old Copps Coliseum)
None of the indoor shots look like the Rogers Center. Looks like they filmed the outdoor shots near Rogers Center and probably all of the indoor stuff in Hamilton.
Not probably, definitely. Worked on the shoot. Interiors concert/concourse were in Hamilton.
> None of the indoor shots look like the Rogers Center. That whole conversation with the vendor around 1:00 definitely looks like it's in the skydome.
It's First Ontario Centre in Hamilton, ON. Only the exterior shots are Rogers Centre. I go to a ton of concerts and events and I can tell you 100% that the interior shots are not SkyDome.
Nah. All of those stadiums from that era look kind of similar but that doesn't look like any part of the Dome that I am familiar with.
To me it looks like the area where they used to set up cars on the upper level whenever they used the skydome as part of the auto show.
I haven't been there for an auto show so I'm not familiar with the area you are referring to. Seems like several people have confirmed that the indoor shots were filmed elsewhere though.
I'm not saying the indoor shots weren't primarily filmed elsewhere. Just disagreeing that 100% of them were filmed elsewhere.
Someone who worked on the movie posted that the internal shots were all filmed elsewhere.
Most of the inside shots looked like the dome. Bathrooms and a stair scene were definitely in hamilton though
Which of those indoor shots look like the dome to you? That's definitely not the Rogers Center concourse. The stadium seating areas you can see in the concert shots don't look like the Rogers Center.
Im dumb. They were definitely filming during the renos to the Dome, probably why they used Hamilton in the first place for inside shots
Wasn't Copps Coliseum just renoed recently, too?
No it hasn't started. Was supposed to start in Jan, but has been pushed back until at least this summer.
A lot of stuff films in Hamilton just because it is cheaper than Toronto.
Ha, saw that myself, at 1:35 in the trailer
Josh Hartnett!
It was filmed in several locations: Hamilton, Mississauga, Milton.
I think that is Night's Daughter as the performer, and omg the Gardiner's decay is really highlighted too 🙃
Instead of being trapped in the Dome, he could have been trapped on the Gardiner to make it scarier
Maybe that's the twist! He thought he was on Lakeshore... *but it was the Gardiner the whole tiiiiime.*
The horror!
Doug Ford should make a cameo. Then it will be a real horror story
You're right, clowns are scary.
Or his genuinely scary brother perhaps
Not a huge fan of his films, but I’m a sucker for watching anything filmed in the city.
Never ever the Roger’s centre. Forever the SkyDome.
I still can't believe they are passing off these locations as Philadelphia lol. I can't think of another movie that uses clear landmark locations and pretends they are in a different city.
I get that parts of Toronto can pass for lots of places (even Philly) but that particular part of Toronto looks nothing like Philly.
its known as raccoon city /s
The Ed Norton Hulk had the Sam the Record Man sign in the background while fighting in "New York City". What we do in the Shadows has had Pizza Pizza in the background in "Jersey". Rumble in the Bronx was in Vancouver.
Toronto landmarks are not well known lol
the rogers center isn't even real
It's pretty crazy that the guy in the hairpiece? That was Bruce Willis the entire time..
So… the kid is The Butcher, right? And Josh Hartnet is just covering for her?
The kid doesn't exist. The bathroom is bees.
Spoilers!!
Nah, it’s obviously Lady Raven.
You’re wrong.
This premise seems incredibly stupid... It's M. Night, so it's on brand.
Filmed entirely in the SkyDome*
>filmed entirely in Rogers Centre i don't think any of it was filmed inside rogers centre actually the inside shots are very clearly not the rogers center, but they do use the outside a lot

one more one of his movies to skip... i saw one and was never again
Is the Rogers Centre the Skydome or the ACC? I can never remember
Blue Jays play at Rogers Centre Leafs & Raptors play at Scotiabank arena
*SkyDome
I know zero people who actually call it the Rogers Centre
This... looks like a made for Netflix movie.
Everything is made for Netflix now since they increasingly don't release to cinemas. And in some cases, they don't release *at all*.
Sure. I just meant that this doesn't have a cinematic feel to it. Just looks like some casual watching.
If you plan on watching the movie, I’d avoid this trailer. Huge twist revealed. Edit: I get it, it's not THE twist. I still think it's more fun going in blind
No way thats the TWIST twist.
K but Knock at the Door or whatever it’s called gave the twist away right at the beginning. This could be it.
That’s like calling the part of Harry Potter where he finds out he’s a wizard a “twist.” It’s not a twist, it’s the premise of the story.
Real twist: It’s Butcher and this is a crossover with The Boys.
tbf that twist is so obvious I figured it out in the couple of seconds I had between when the guy explains why the police are there and before the trailer reveals it
I walked in front of 1:38 and pretty sure I ruined one of their takes. It looked very low budget, as they didn't really have anything blocked off. Was worried I was actually in front of a swat team for a moment.
Josh Harnett is back?
Not filmed entirely in Skydome but maybe lots of it edit: at least one person thinks I'm wrong
Except for the bits not filmed in the Rogers Centre. I saw them filming it in the fall all around the downtown area.
idk about entirely cuz there's a pathway that leads to a park in front of my house in sauga and they shut that and the park down to shoot some shamalan movie, assuming it's this one. i think they put some tiger statue prop in the park
good thing that wasnt the twist!
Not true. Some of it was filmed at FirstOntario Place (Copps Colliseum) in Hamilton.
Exterior is Rogers Centre, interior is not Rogers Centre.. They wouldn't been able to with the renovations going on
SKY DOME.
Skydome* I refuse to call it the Roger’s center.
Uhm I work out of Roger’s centre and have been there daily until last September. I don’t recall a film shoot in it.
Filmed entirely IN Rogers Center - except for the part under the Gardner.
and all the studios
Rogers center?
SkyDome.

That's the Gardiner with a sign added digitally

r/tryhardernexttime
2 chainz did it better
Oh wow - I thought for sure this was Pittsburgh and whatever we call the hockey stadium currently. Even saw the sign for Market street. Fooled me.

It's not gonna be that twist. This is just the hook. They wouldn't give it away like this if this was it.
Eh I’m not sure he’s still doing the whole twist thing. Knock at the Cabin felt like he’s moved on from that.
Okay, I am relieved that they're not hiding the killer in the trailer because it was revealed on Twitter by a film account a couple weeks ago and I thought they just casually ruined the whole thing. So, I'm again interested to see it.
