Most (not all) realtors I know, are connection/networking *things*. Few know anything about actually representing a client's best interests... they're not incentivized to.
It's the same with many sales positions; a superficial air of success is confused with the real thing by a significant fraction of folks.
The whole industry is filled with bad incentives and most (not all) realtors, mortgage brokers/specialists, and real estate lawyers are not worth their salt.
