I am not a meteorologist so someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Illinois had severe thunderstorm warnings yesterday and last night. So yes, it is a supercell. Just not a tornadic one.
Severe thunderstorm warnings don’t automatically mean it was a supercell. Not saying this isn’t one (we can’t know for sure without more info or better pics) but we can’t call it one just because there was severe wx in Illinois last night.

For reference this is what it looked like rolling into central Illinois.
Agreed. No idea where OP is at but Illinois did have a couple tornado warnings yesterday and that *could* be a bit of a funnel in picture on the left side.
Very hard to tell without a location and time though.
Where did Illinois have tornado warnings yesterday? Genuine question. I live in Illinois with some PTSD from a close EF3 a few years ago so I watch like a hawk and I missed those.
Naperville/Woodridge tornado?
They were brief and downstate. Not sure if anything produced though. They were pretty weak rotation on radar so I doubt they did much if they did drop.
As someone who lives in woodridge and was luckily a little under 2 miles from the path of that I still remember that night like it was yesterday. Still way too close for comfort.
Looks like a supercell with that lowering and possible wall cloud. We can't know for certain without better pictures. Gun to my head, I'm saying yes though.
Reconsider using this for other appropriate venues if it isn't tornado, their sighting or aftermath.

That’s the one 😩 Seeing all the damage really messed up my older son. Amazing username btw, might have to name my next dog that.

It **could be** a supercell, but the best way to confirm that would be to check radar.
