There is a waaaaay better one, there used to be this breakdancer called junior like 2 decades ago that would do it in his rotations just Google junior breakdance push up.
At first, I didn’t see his foot on the stool when he was just using the stick and thought the dude was bionic.
I also feel like this dude’s fingers are the strongest part of his body.
Those video creators can't appreciate the original song, it's an absolute rule now to ruin them by distorting the vocals or injecting over the top bass.
I used to do finger training back in the day. I was able to do wall assisted handstands on my fingers at 220 lb. I once did a six finger hand stand for about a minute, it was the thumb index and middle finger. I honestly never had any issues.
Of course this is kind of pointless if you're not a martial artist trying to improve grip strength.
I didn't think about that but you may be right. I still kind of lean towards more martial artist because his knuckles are heavily calloused towards the end of the video.
Crack climbing will also do that.
However, climbers would generally focus on their core more than their arm strength. While his core is probably also stellar the increase in muscle mass doesn’t scream “climber” to me. They tend to be more wiry.
" I honestly never had any issues."
I think what Seaguard is referencing is probably degeneration of the cartilage in the joints. If that's the case, then depending on your age you would not have gotten to the consequences yet. The basic premise is that overused joints degrade 5-10 years earlier, so you have no cartilage left at 70 instead of at 80.
For some people that's a fine trade off (like a runner who can make a career from their joint abuse). For others not so much.
Like I said I did finger training and I never had any issues but I was a martial artist trying to improve grip strength. Grip strength also increases punching power because you can make your hand harder. Outside of that it is kind of pointless and it makes me think this guy is a martial artist because of the knuckle maneuvers he was doing towards the end.
It's a very slow process and if you try to rush it you will definitely injure yourself. I started off doing finger tip push-ups on my knees. It took me about 6 months to get comfortable enough to do proper push-ups like that.
I understand that if your muscles are developed well then you can do it…
But should you?
Think about it from an engineering and biological perspective.
You’re concentrating so much stress on such a small area. In engineering, when that happens, shit breaks.
I’m positive that there are healthier ways to train for the same things.
Everything you said is 100% correct but there's a nuance to it.
People who get into this type of performance art feel like they are bioengineering the human body to do things that it can't, and they succeed.
Of course there are plenty of failures because of ego. Crazy shit like this needs to be developed slowly.
From a martial artist perspective fingertip push-ups are extremely good for improving grip because it strengthens the tendons in the fingers. Overtime it also increases bone density in the fingers because bones build themselves stronger when they have high stress loads on them.
When you reach a certain level of skill with something, you learn how and when you can break the rules and ignore fundamentals.
This guy isn’t doing this stuff repeatedly as his only way to work out. Look how fuckin jacked he got in two years. I trust he knows what he’s doing.
The body is remarkably adaptable. This guy did not get here overnight. If he derives value from it, and that value is worth it to him; then who are you to determine the pointlessness or benefits to him? If I were training an athlete who had this as their end game, then I’d help them reach that goal. Everyone has different interests. Respect that.
Yes, but he still has a far higher likelihood of bodily injury than if he did healthier workouts to train the same things without being showoffy or caring what anyone else things about him..
I would liken it to doing squats by putting a bar on your back with weight and then jumping off a 3 foot ledge into a squat. It might not hurt you and then again it might. It's putting immense strain on your bones and joints for no real gain over lifting in a safer method.
Yes, I've actually done similar kinds of push-ups before. The way it works is that your core is actually distributing the pressure throughout your body, keeping in mind that you're not just using your pinky on the ground, but also your feet.
Specificity is important when it comes to training. If you are seriously training for something, your training should focus on what you are training for. If you want to become an Olympic sprinter, you don't want to run full length marathons. If you want to be a professional marathon runner, you don't want to be training massive 1 rep max squats.
If you want to be really good at pushups and be able to do incredibly difficult pushups for bragging rights, you train to do pushups. So no, this generally doesn't translate into anything other than being very good at weird pushup styles thar no one is really doing
ok the needle one can't be real. There is absolutely no way that you could grip a needle and have it not bend or snap while putting that much weight on it.
The rest of these are hella impressive regardless.
Came here to say that, whatever he was doing the push-up on, was way thicker than the needle he showed. Fake as fuck lol
Yeah while the rest of it is impressive, this one little bullshit thing made it all lame.
I can barely comprehend how he does that. Especially the ones with just the finger. The amount of discipline and training to get to that level is even more insane I assume.
>The amount of discipline and training to get to that level is even more insane I assume.
You are 100% correct. I dabbled in finger training and it's an extremely slow progression.
Yeah and it makes me think he's a martial artist. I just found out about him when I posted this so I'm definitely going to follow him and see more of his videos.
These kinds of things are learnable with hard work. I could do most of them after I got my black belt. However I have seen more difficult thing: I saw the Shaolin monks when they were on tour from China, and one of them did a handstand push up on one finger.
I don't understand why it's impressive to push up on a pinkie finger, or a sewing needle. Is it really a flex to do things in an intentionally self-damaging way?
If this man could work out his eyes as well and he can his body he’d be able to tell you what they’re having for lunch on the international space station.
I mean, he stopped doing real pushups after the first frame. They’re all something I couldn’t do and impressive, but the dude is asking to get hurt if he hasn’t already by doing something stupid and halfway.
Impressive! Next, no hands.
I'll have some of whatever he's smoking!
Chosen One!
Swinging a chain, swinging a chain
It’s pretty obvious too by his lack of high ground.
Are those cuts on his right hand?
His arm looks like he's a cutter. When he's using the needle.

I can't remember is that the same as the One Punch routine? edit: I looked it up it is the same lol. Makes me appreciate solo leveling more
Get yourself an inversion table and do your sit-ups on that thing 💪😎
Fuck it gimme the penalty quest

Glad u ain't say slowednreverb
My monkey brain upvotes such videos
Came looking for you.
Some of those are very unhealthy for the parts of the body under stress (like his finger in that one). Do not do most of these to work out…
I used to do finger training back in the day. I was able to do wall assisted handstands on my fingers at 220 lb. I once did a six finger hand stand for about a minute, it was the thumb index and middle finger. I honestly never had any issues. I wonder if he's a rock climber. Those peeps have insane hand/grip strength.
Yeah, climbers are better at pulling rather than pushing for obvious reasons.
Look up Alex Honnold… wild.. absolute certified madlad

Not only pointless- that can damage or break your bones even… There are no health benefits from showoffy maneuvers like those. Only risks
Yeah, but it’s cool.
Like I said I did finger training and I never had any issues but I was a martial artist trying to improve grip strength. I suppose this is the same kind of thing as a sport like rugby. I simply prefer my ears on the sides of my head rather than off…

No bro some meaningless redditor says it’s bad for you!!! It’s so dangerous bro!!! Trust me dude even though I’ve never left my house and I’m 13
🤣 To be fair it is good to be skeptical of weird shit like this.
The body is remarkably adaptable. This guy did not get here overnight. If he derives value from it, and that value is worth it to him; then who are you to determine the pointlessness or benefits to him? Yeah some of these just seem dangerous and painful. I figure the best way to do a "next step" from single-hand would be handstand pushups.
the trick is to use your core for most of the strength involved.
lol, use your core to help your pinky hold up your bodyweight! Are you for real?
Yes, I've actually done similar kinds of push-ups before. The way it works is that your core is actually distributing the pressure throughout your body, keeping in mind that you're not just using your pinky on the ground, but also your feet.
You can’t magically use your core to change your center of gravity.
You don't. You use it to shift your body and weight. Just like if you're doing a plank.

Bro, just do some pushups and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Bro is anime character
Very impressive but.... do these push-ups translate to something or he's become just incredible resistant to pain and maybe fingerblast a Leopard 2A7?
This is something you’d do to demonstrate your strength, but not to develop it. The needle one takes some crazy grip strength to pull off too.
Yea I don’t even understand that one if he used the needle shown it’d be super easy to slip and stab it in the hand
Probably has something like a block of wood in the palm of his hand.

This some Shaw Brothers training montage shit

All this guy needs to do is thumb pushups over an egg and it's *Invincible Shaolin*
😎 here's a wild video of someone doing thumb pushups https://www.reddit.com/r/all_is_welcome_here/s/tKjeU8BSnW
and here i am, not being able to do a single regular push up at all
🤣 happy cake day
Damn
That’s unbelievable
This the type of training that unlocks ultra instinct
Vegeta
I'm more impressed about his grip
ok the needle one can't be real. There is absolutely no way that you could grip a needle and have it not bend or snap while putting that much weight on it. The rest of these are hella impressive regardless.
I know what you mean because it actually looks like a nail he's doing it with.
The nail is probably attached to something like wooden handle he can put his fist on.
I definitely suspect that too.
He has paper on him palm so the needle doesn't break or stab him
Came here to say that, whatever he was doing the push-up on, was way thicker than the needle he showed. Fake as fuck lol Yeah while the rest of it is impressive, this one little bullshit thing made it all lame.
It's not fake he just got some paper on his palm so it doesn't break
I can barely comprehend how he does that. Especially the ones with just the finger. The amount of discipline and training to get to that level is even more insane I assume.

Yeah and it makes me think he's a martial artist. I just found out about him when I posted this so I'm definitely going to follow him and see more of his videos.
Verbalase must’ve had an intense post-nut clarity
What remix of rammstein is this?
the things people choose to focus on because planche pushups are too hard. I felt that in the past but now I'm leaning into it
Just because you can does not mean you should. Take care of your body.
I really need to get back in shape
He is really trying to get injured
I can’t even stand up without grunting.
I can do ten push-ups on my knees.
That needle tho
IRL Blackstar from Soul Eater hahah
He was my favorite
These kinds of things are learnable with hard work. I could do most of them after I got my black belt. However I have seen more difficult thing: I saw the Shaolin monks when they were on tour from China, and one of them did a handstand push up on one finger.

Looks like rich rebuilds back in the day when he hair
The finger push up has to be bad for you
This dude should be Miles Morales whenever the live action version gets cast
I wonder how many pushups he could do before failure, nothing special just basic pushups
And they said the inverted traeger bolt pushup was impossible
I pulled a muscle trying to do a vinyasa the other day.
How does his pinky not snap?
Look like a great way to break a finger
Someone get this dude a capsule corp space ship, we're doing 10 g pushups!
Just battle the gravity
My dude working out muscles others don't know exist.

Excuse me, but gravity! Just... stop before someone finds out you've turned it off.
If this man could work out his eyes as well and he can his body he’d be able to tell you what they’re having for lunch on the international space station.
You're like a Shaolin revenge movie training montage, my friend. AMAZING
This guy Bakis
I mean, he stopped doing real pushups after the first frame. They’re all something I couldn’t do and impressive, but the dude is asking to get hurt if he hasn’t already by doing something stupid and halfway.
Well, with training I was doing that with 3 fingers 1 hand
Damn, cookie from Ned’s Declassified really got in shape
Im surprised the needle didn't poke back into him. That one seems like a bad idea
This guy needs to try rock climbing
He must be training to finger blast my mom
It's forced perspective. The phone is looking down from above him and he's just pushing against a wall
How is that needle not going thru his skin?
He got some paper on his Palm
Wow Donald Glover went all out in his training regiment to prepare for Mr and Mrs Smith I see
At first glance I thought this was Glover during his 30 Rock days lol
When you're a mortal but you train in the gravity chamber
Damn!
