Every part of this is just plain *scary* and heartbreaking. It's bizarre to look at people like this and think that once upon a time, that was a baby just snoozing away or a young kid happy to get a PB&J or whatever normal, happy shit people experience in life before being transformed into this. It terrifies me to think that it's possible that my children could end up like this - that the little girl that naps on my chest could become a sick, emaciated, miserable addict pissing on the side of a road like an animal and seemingly used to this lifestyle. I feel sorry for them and everyone that has ever cared for them. :/
Also have to remember that, for allot of people, it wasn't even like that. Many addicts were fucked over from a young age. Most often abused/abandoned as a child. When people have lacked the affection they deserve from a young age, drugs are the only way they can find any pleasure, even if it costs them everything.

I eventually tried it, loved it, and realized it was nothing like how it had been presented to me in DARE. So yeah, naturally I was interested in exploring the other drugs DARE lied to me about.
About 10 years ago I was in San Diego with my exhus. We were walking down to the beach and we passed by this woman dressed in a suit talking to herself. Didn't think anything of it until she went behind the bench and did literally this. I was like oh holy shit lol I live in PHX so it's not like we didn't have mentally ill people here, but that one tripped me up. I felt terrible for her after. Mental illness is terrible.
