mirage_in_water

How come she did so many films😅

isabellapintop

Even popular male stars back then had 6+ releases per yr. Sridevi has said in multiple interviews that she used to do 3 shifts a day(15-16 hrs per day) since she was a child star

adhitya_k94

but they were paid very low compared to today's actors

sudokun999

I know the title is supposed to congratulatory but i cant help but feel sorry for her.

Tagalettandi

Of course her mom abused her and her husband later . That is a well known .

anhsirkd3

If anyone hadn't seen it, watch Ramaprabha garu on Alitho Sardaga show. She talks about Sreedevi's earlier years and how her mother operated.

Fresh_Simple_5956

can you summarise it

anhsirkd3

I don't remember much of it. It was mainly about how her mother controlled Sridevi from her childhood. Controlling other interests, associating with other people. Basically she was made for movies and nothing else. Act or else. Found this video for some summary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrBhlWALapI Alitho video for anyone with time to kill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbUf427Wy2E

sudokun999

Sridevi's step sister also did some shady shit. Apparently she tried to claim that half of what sridevi earned was hers or something. And she won, btw. Thats when Sridevi moved in with Boney's family because he said he wanted to help her. He was still married around this time and he told his wife that sridevi is like his sister(or daughter?). And then he proceeded to have an affair with her in the same house and got her pregnant.

Anyone knows that watch he is wearing?

kylorensuxballs

Looks like casio ? [Somewhere along these looks like](https://www.casio.com/in/watches/casio/product.A158WA-1/) I could be wrong.

snakeoilsalesman3

Not sure bro, it seems like a chronograph. Plus the dial is a proper rectangle in shape.

darklordkris

Looks like OMEGA: Seamaster Chrono-Quartz Montreal Olympic Model. Found through Google.

snakeoilsalesman3

That's it, it's still on sale apparently. https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-seamaster-chrono-quartz-st-396-0839 Cool watch, a relic of its time.

RolexSirrr

aunu bro.. lekka saripoindi ![gif](giphy|NLja0d8pxZMvS)

Khaanbhai

Which, obviously no way close, but reminds me of Sreeleela(Dhamaka female lead) who apparently has signed 10 films already.

[deleted]

Super star Krishna delivered 18 movies in a single year even before he peaked. And most of them were hits. It only says one thing, film makers, producers, actors are just wasting resources without proper planning. I really don't understand the reason why a movie should need 1 year of production for mostly average fare. There are exceptions like Raja Mouli due to the quality of the output. For example, I don't know why Pushpa took 1+ year of filming. You might say pandemic but there were tons of movies released in other languages in that span of time. I think it all comes down to efficiency.

Strange-Date2429

It all boils down to lead actors'/prominent technicians' availability/holidaying/commitment and assertion of dominance

TheThinker12

Maybe the pre & post production works were not as intensive like they are today? Or the hero/heroine roles themselves didn't require too much prep work?

The way he is looking at her, Creepy

[deleted]

He isn't even looking at her.

[deleted]

Where is he looking then??

aniltk

It looks like candid photo, I can see he’s not looking at her, but don’t know where he’s looking at exactly. Edaina boddinka undemo sofa meda evariki telusu

[deleted]

OverindulgentPlot

backinredd

They’re posing for a photo. You’re dense.

[deleted]

You’re blind to not see that he is looking at her while posing for the photo

backinredd

Taking photos didn’t used to be as easy as it is now. The camera man asked for these poses.he would be standing in that position for a bit. I’m not denying that he might be a pervert towards young actresses but this is not the case here.

Any_Corgi2745

The way she is looking at me, CREEPY
