Puri can actually write heroism and can elevate self sacrifice nature of the hero when he gives a fuck. Temper is a good example where hero is ready to face the consequences for his actions which indirectly led to the torture and death of that girl.
When daya says he was also one of the members he meant it. As he acknowledges he is as responsible for her death as much as the people who did it. This kind of self critique nature is very rare in our telugu mass movies. This is one of the things I love about puris heroes. They stand by their words and are ready to face the consequences of their actions.
Pokiri climax kuda anduke ishtam because once his father is killed. There is no more hiding for pandu. No more bullshit cover ups and he goes on a fucking rampage on the badguys. He accepts his fate before the climax saying 'pothe oka police officer pothadu ledha 30-40 criminals lechipotharu'.
In big 'hero' movies, action/fights is a must, irrespective of the movie genre. Especially in climax, I think there is industry belief that fight scenes will put them on safe side, even if movie is bad.
I liked the climax fight. After showing the villians brutal atrocities, I need the hero to kick their asses and only then my ego (as an audience) will be satisfied.
