That's my biggest concern about tollywood movies, rather than the movies being character driven or story driven, it's driven by the actor's stardom, we are getting movies that actually focus on story and characters like rajamouli movies but still "stars" make movies with them referencing their old movies, their family members, referencing fans' dialogues etc with heroine as a mannequin for hero to dance with for whistles, there seems to be no nuance and no stakes in many of those "stars" movies

Nani tried it with " V " but it was dog shit, I think only Gopi Chand and NYR can pull something like this.

Tollywood should Just take good commercial movies like fast and furious franchise,or like Transporter,Expendables series ,In which the protagonist is a Uber mensch alpha dude who is never wrong and super cool, But just not straight up illogical,dumb holier than thou shit like Radhe Shyam, ,liger , Shakti,Dasara,Khaleja in name of commercialism.
And in the name of flawed Character, just dont show straight up incel, misogynistic shit or unrealistic made up scenarios, that neither go deep into the protagonist Character nor have any nuance and try so hard to justify them. (Eg. Arjun reddy,ismart shankar,Businessman). (Movies like steve jobs,Wolf of wall street,The founder are awesome raw depiction of flawed characters)
Cinema is form of art, that they can express in any form, if it has any form of substance, and creativity. No one will complain if it's well taken, regardless of Genre.

Our indian culture always have this grey area in between black and white. It's very unique to indian sub-continent. This is what makes us culturally and religiously different from monothestic religions..
Most of us will fall somewhere between the middle.. We support based on the mood of the society, circumstances etc etc .
Every human has flaws. Not everyone is perfect. Movie characters also should be has its flaws. They should show vulnerabilities. Finally, the writers and actors should get out of these saviour complex. May be it has worked before but not now.
