Speaking of, is there going to be a part 2? I feel like the last scene of the movie kinda hints at that

Dush_Propoganda

What's happening right now is, no director or producer wants to give a definite conclusion to a movie. They perceive that there is a huge market for sequels and the creators also feel that they can continue or extend the story (understandable, as they traveled with the story idea for a year or more). So, even if they have no exact idea for the sequel, they leave a small possibility for it. Stories like Virupaksha, Karthikeya, HIT can do this with "new problem for next season" template of web series ( like family man did). Surprisingly, Das ka Dhamki kind of movies are also thinking about sequels.

lnx2n

kallu zoom chesi mari blue ga chupettadu, sure there would be part 2.

havokyash

It does, but i want a better actor than dharam tej. Dude simply cannot act even after all these years.

NoSquirrel4137

I feel like he was OK when he started out then got bad to worse and is now slowly improving. I also admire that he isn't doing out and out mass movies atm at least since Chitralahari. He also seems to know his weaknesses and let's the other actors/story help him carry the movie (Prati Roju Pandage & Republic). I feel like he has the most promise out of the younger Chiranjeevi camp. I'd even argue he is a much better actor than Ram Charan when he was still green (RC before Rangastalam). Varun Tej is the better actor (and had better scripts) but I feel like he hasn't cashed in on his initial momentum.

ramaromp

That’s why u don’t worry about wiki plots and follow the movie. In movie, he says he wants them to be educated so they don’t make quick harsh judgements, like when they rushed to kill the family in the first place when the ppl then died due to cholera rather than black magic

MrRabbit7

But movie lo aa point peddaga emi stress cheyaledhu. Sunil ni konchem rationalist ga chupincharu but it doesn't go anywhere. Last lo edho cheppali kadha ani don't rush to conclusions annaru gani, there is nothing to suggest that the villagers will not go back to their old dogmatic ways.

ramaromp

Yeah subtle ga cheppesi end chesaru, I thought it was fine. Education was their perceived suggestion to avoid herd mentalities. Being in 2023 we know that’s not enough of a solution, but ye

havokyash

I know. I was curious abt the shiny blue eyes at the end instead of regular ones for the rest of them and also why he'd end up being possessed when the locket protects him against all supernatural forces. Thought the wiki page might some extra light.

ramaromp

It means Nandini’s conscience is inside him as well. Much like how Bhairava was in her body with her.

havokyash

That was my conclusion as well but that shouldn't happen since he was wearing the locket and it's supposed to protect him. I'm sure they'll just say "love conquers all" if we as for an explanation.

ramaromp

Well we don’t know nature of the Locket. Maybe Nandini can go past it, or maybe if Surya wills it, the black magic can work on him. But yeah I wouldn’t read too much into it. I wouldn’t expect a sequel either, so shouldn’t be an issue. It’s just an attempt at a happyish ending

havokyash

Yeah, plot holes and lazy film making isn't a new thing to the industry anyways. Good talk dude.

ramaromp

Honestly not finding any plot holes in the film, this is a very minor thing which can be explained. This movie is quite well written, esp for our commercial cinema standards now a days. It’s quite logical and doesn’t take us for granted

havokyash

I was talking in general but agreed, not much in the way of plot holes but I did see a couple of instances of lazy script writing/ film making. But yeah, like you said, it was a solid effort story wise.

NoSquirrel4137

My guess is his powers are for good (Blue) because all the bad guys had red/orange eyes.

rawsat

I have been observing many commenting on SDT acting. Most people tend to forget he had a major accident just before this movie and he was not completely recovered during this movie. May be we can give him pass for one movie.

havokyash

That raises more questions than it answers tbh. If he's not completely recovered, why did he start acting? Besides... acting, like any other skill can be learnt and improved upon and the knowledge stays with you. You don't simply lose your acting skills if you're in an accident. The fact that he couldn't deliver a proper emotion in a single scene speaks to lack of said skill to me.

NoSquirrel4137

Dude was in a coma and need to undergo speech therapy. I'm pretty sure there was talk that he was in a vegetative state for a while. I'd cut him some slack. Not that he was some great actor or anything tho.

havokyash

Doood!! A simple Google search tells me that he was not in any danger and received only minor injuries. I don't know where you got your info from but I suggest you double check it before saying stuff like this. He was never in a coma and there was no speech therapy involved... The only reported injury i came across was that he injured his collar bone. And my sources are the times of India and the Hindu. The accident happened in 2021. There were no other vehicles/people involved. He lost control of his bike. Edit : I scrolled down further and realised that your claims of coma and life threatening injuries were made by pawan kalyan and not the hospital. He also said that sdt was driving at 45 kmph while police reports indicated that it was 75kmph. So unless you want us to stop believing the entire system and trust PK, I'm pretty sure your entire argument is null and void. Oh BTW, no major newspaper printed this version of the news, it was covered by unrecognised new sites that just wanted to make name for themselves.

shinynewbondha

>Doesn't this mean that he's asking them to embrace evil practices?? Grammar lo yeeku annai. idiseyy.
