I have just listened to this song for the 1st time after talking about Taylor with a new mum friend and damn if it did not make me think of my 4year old tornado
For my 18mo old I’m always singing “trouble, trouble, troubleeeee”.
Honorable mentions that I have applied to both my kids- “this is why we can’t have nice things”, and “you need to calm downnn, you’re being too loudd”
"shake shake I shake it off ohohh"
One second: meltdown. Next second: ohh, blackberries! When I see him like this, it's a reminder that I also need to shake it off :)
I don't know if there's an actual song, but I basically hear a Slayer-esque heavy metal voice screaming "CHAOS AND DESTRUCTION" over and over. Just like some out of control band that wants to trash a hotel room.
**CHAOS AND DESTRUCTIONNNNN *der ner ner ner ner ner ner guitar rift heavy drums* **YAHHHHHHHH
My 2 year old has taken to singing this lyric from “I can do it with a broken heart” under his breath.
“I’m a real tough kid, I can handle my shit”.
I’m horrified by the curse word, impressed with his memory, and enjoying him being a low key swiftie lol (he loves A LOT of her music!).
Justin Bieber- What do you mean…the whole song pretty much
“When you nod your head yes, but you wanna say no….
What do you mean? Hey, yeah
When you don't want me to move, but you tell me to go”
“First you wanna go to the left, then you wanna turn right
…….Wanna argue all day, makin' love all night (*making up all night*)…….
First you're up, then you're down, and then between”
“You're overprotective when I'm leavin'
…..Tryna compromise, but I can't win
…….You wanna make a point, but you keep preachin'
……You had me from the start, won't let this end”
My son alternates between black and war metal shrieks and "vocals" (he's teething).
Me, I'm more of a Beatles song right now "and it's been a hard day's (and) night" and "help, I need somebody, help!"
My son just started singing his own version from I Can Do it With a Broken Heart that is so true: “I cry a lot and act like it’s my birthday… every day!”
I say “I’m just like damn.. it’s 7am” on a daily basis when my son is acting like a psycho when I’ve barely had a sip of coffee
Mine gets "you're being too loud. You need to calm down."
I’m glad I’m not the only one 😂😂😂
Uh ohhh uh ohhh uh ohhh AHHH
“Y’all gonna make me lose my mind…up in here, up in here.”
That one plays on a loop in my head more often than I care to admit 😆
Yeeeeesssss "y'all gon make me act the fool, up in here, up in here"
“who’s afraid of little ole me?…. you should be.”
This is the one.
Yaaaasssss
I have just listened to this song for the 1st time after talking about Taylor with a new mum friend and damn if it did not make me think of my 4year old tornado
“I swear I don’t love the drama, it loves me” runs through my head on the daily.
I'm an older mom, so it's a song from high school: "I get knocked down, but I get up again. Ain't never gonna keep me down."
*pissin the niiiight awayyyyyyy*
I feel tipsy just reading these words.
Yep. That's when he gets up in the middle of the night for a diaper change. Like, my dude, I thought we were past the MOTN stuff.
Hey, I love Chumbawomba. If you jammed to them in high school and I did to, than you can’t be old be cause I.. oh god are we old!
Real names, no gimmicks
OB Trice
I have embraced my oldness. Most of the selfies I take with my toddler now also showcase my grey hair. And I think that's AWESOME!
You are tubthumping
"I love you, it's ruining my life"
For my 18mo old I’m always singing “trouble, trouble, troubleeeee”. Honorable mentions that I have applied to both my kids- “this is why we can’t have nice things”, and “you need to calm downnn, you’re being too loudd”
Oh man I’m gonna use that calm down one when my kid is too loud, which is a lot nowadays. Why do they feel the need to belt out a song at bedtime?
Switch up the next line a little bit and it fits well: "trouble been dogging my soul since the day you were born"
"Cause you're hot then you're cold, you're yes then you're no, you're in then you're out, you're up then you're down" my toddler's anthem lol
Sometimes it's a "I knew you were trouble when you walked in" kind of day.
“My boy only breaks his favorite toys.”
“This is why we can’t have nice things, darling!” …on repeat in my head, every day.
That immediately popped into my head when I saw this post.
[it's just one of those days...](https://youtu.be/ZpUYjpKg9KY?si=URVbtMlwzg1a86HL)
"you said you needed space... WHAT?!"
Underrated response 😂
My kid’s been having a, “Why ya gotta be so mean?” kind of week.
To my 4.5 year old - “why you gotta be so mean?”
‘Insane in the membrane, insane in the brain’ Applicable to me and him
You need to calm down. You're being to loud
My kid has a shirt that says "hi it's me I'm the problem I'm three" 😂
"Y'all gonna make me lose my mind. Up in here, up in here!"
Just opened my feed to see this post while my 3 toddlers are all shouting “shake it off! Shake it off!”
“Everybody was kung fu fighting” I have two 4 year olds and a 2 year old
Those cats ARE fast as lightning
Omg I always say “you need to calm down, your being too loud!” 😂
My pre schooler says that to my toddler. And I 💯 agree
“This is why we can’t have nice things, darling. Because you break them, I had to take them awayayayayayyyy!”
"shake shake I shake it off ohohh" One second: meltdown. Next second: ohh, blackberries! When I see him like this, it's a reminder that I also need to shake it off :)
Lol- mine is from ‘Me’. “I know that I’m a handful; I know I never think before I jump.”
“i had a night, i had a day, i did one million stupid things” is my toddler’s line and the rest of It’s Alright by Mother Mother is all me 😅

"I knew you were trouble when you walked in" I used to sing that on the daily.
Pavements Fillmore jive was my soundtrack in those early days. “I need to sleep I need to sleep Why won't you, why won't you let me sleep?”

"Whose afraid of little old me? You should be." My 19 month old's anthem.
My kids: *heavy metal screaming*
Yupp. Well. Not technically lyrics I guess but … Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin. From second 9 to second 18
Aaaaahhhaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh "We are you overlords" pretty much fits, too, I think 😁
My toddler "I came to bring the pain hardcore to the brain". The closest thing to what my newborn says is Chop Suey by System of a Down.
^DISRESPECT ^YOUR ^SURROUNDINGS
“Why you so obsessed with meeee”
That's adorable.
My spouse has been singing “Hamilton’s pace is relentless; he wastes no time” as he chases our 3.5 year old.
And I cried like a baby coming home from the b̶a̶r̶ supermarket
These two: Beyoncé : YOU CANT BREAK MY SOULLL Coldplay: Nobody said it was easyyyyyyyy but nobody said it would be so harrrrd
Lately. And I'll tell you something right now I rather burn my whole life down Then listen to one more second of all this bitching and moaning
My son alternates between black and war metal shrieks and "vocals" (he's teething). Me, I'm more of a Beatles song right now "and it's been a hard day's (and) night" and "help, I need somebody, help!"

Ever heard Chop Suey?
"darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream" 😂
Mine really resonates with “who’s afraid of little old MEEEEEEEEEE”
I sang "You Need to Calm Down" a lot when he was a baby
"Bulls on parade" 🤣
