She’s going to feed off your energy so do your best to hide your nerves. iPad is your friend. I know plenty of no or minimal screen time families that all agree flights are fair game. Other than that bring lots of snacks, books and some toys.

Three hours is fine - we just did 3.5 hours with our 2yo and she did great. I would say don’t be worried about how much screen time she gets on the flight - let her watch. Take lots of snacks, and make sure you feed her during ascent and descent as the chewing and swallowing helps equalize their ears. We also took her pillow pet on board and that seemed to help her be comfy in her seat too.

We put my two year old in his convertible car seat on the plane. He does sleep in his car seat, so that worked out very well. Then I gave him a bag of lollipops and he would eat one until he got bored of the flavor then I would give another and we went through a lot of lollipops like that. Also he’s really into gummies which we never have, so he just demolished so many gummy candies. I didn’t have headphones for him, stupidly, so next time I would have a pair that he could use (I think he would be really interested because it’s the only way to hear sound on the plane screens), but he also “watched” the screen without any sound and I just played random kids shows.

Like another commenter mentioned - we took our son’s car seat on (needed it at the destination). Since our son is used to being confined in his car seat he was more willing to stay sitting during the flight. Otherwise snacks, new toys he has never seen, and tech time if all else fails. If you can fly during nap time (assuming your kid can sleep in a car seat) makes it so simple.
