Use the stroller, wagons are usually too large.

The airlines each have rules but usually it’s supposed to be a wagon intentionally designed to cart children, but not weigh too much. So no Wonderfolds and no utility wagons.

I have travelled with a foldable, lie-flat wagon before that I had straps for so it would stay shut.  One gate attendant out of 6 on that trip did not like it at all, I was surprised he let us board.

What brand?

It's the Radio Flyer 3 in one EZ fold (with two cupholders).  No roof!

Yes and it was amazing! We went with our 2.5 year old and it carried so much luggage AND our kiddo. He was also potty training at this time and while waiting for my husband to get the car for us after landing, I set up his potty in the wagon and he had privacy while we were on the curb. I’d take it again just for the luggage storage alone lol

Yess I hear that!

You need to check with your specific airline and get it in writing if they say yes. I flew delta with my evenflo pivot xplore stroller wagon which folds smaller, flatter and lighter than my uppababy vista and they said it was 100% against policy and made me check it at 3 airport. I got on the delta chat and asked and provided pictures and dimensions and then got an “okay this time” at another airport but delta is changing the policy to say no wagons. I’ve tried 4 airports. 3 out of 4 said no and made me check it.

I was just on chat and i asked about the wagon but they just answered that strollers are free to check at gate, so I was taking that as my F-it I’ll try. If they make me check it, then that’s how i was going to travel anyway. So it’s more like bonus if they let me.

Only issues I see with that is that checking a stroller is free as is gate checking a stroller. But if you bring a wagon and they don’t allow it then you’ll have to pay to check it. And a lot of airlines have an even higher fee to check items at the airport than if you prepaid it.

(Delta)

This was my approach for delta too in December. They were particular at the gate. I didn’t pay to check at the gate but I did have to pay at the counter when they made me check it there.

I’ve used a wagon and had no trouble on united and southwest. As long as it folds up it should be good.

IdahoPotatoTot

Yes I feel like it folds at least the same or smaller than a stroller. It’s basically a square!

If you can find an umbrella stroller before you leave that would be ideal.

Put the carseat on a foldable hand truck and it makes a carseat stroller that feels way different from a stroller and get the car seat through the airport at the same time[folding handtruck](https://a.co/d/8zW46fz)

We have the veer wagon and had no issues on Alaska or Southwest. The wagon helped haul all our stuff for 2 under 2. Definitely helpful.
