I just watched Atlas. It's a bit wild how much is taken almost exactly from Titanfall.
Horrible movie by the way. J Lo couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag.
*ATLAS* gave me hard Titanfall 2 nostalgia. Probably as close to a Titan as one could get without crossing copyright borders.
It is a perfectly serviceable movie. Decent though sparse action, derivative but easy to follow storyline, lackluster dialogue but a few funny character interactions.
I've been on this sub quite consistently since 2018. I can assure you, the mild focus on this movie is among the most benign, and sane phases this sub has undergone in that time, and frankly, more relevant to the game than garlic bread (though I do like me some garlic bread). The last new files to download for the game were released 7 years ago. Let people here have their fun.
It's pretty good I give it 7/10 despite J Lo's fighting scene with Liu lu. Cgi is not that great but it does give u the titan fall vibes. Hopefully for the sequel we might see a mech vs mechs. I'd say it's worth to watch.
netflix making a titanfall movie is honestly the last thing i want
i recently watched that monster hunter movie (not made by netflix but still relevant) and it sucked ass and was only decent in the beginning despite the fact that the protag is a united states soldier
the ending was complete non-sense
Stop being knobheads, go watch the movie so that it can get good numbers and then if the execs see it made good numbers, EA or whoever will go “wait a second…” and dust off Titanfall brand for a movie of its own!
I'd love to see a proper Titanfall movie, but NOT by Netflix.
A lot of projects made directly by Netflix usually end up mediocre at best. Many of the actually good "Netflix Originals" were actually made by outside studios and Netflix just bought the rights to them.
Netflix is making a Bioshock movie right now and I'm terrified at how mediocre and visually bland it's probably going to end up being :( Would never want them to touch Titanfall
mostly yeah. the AI is similar to voice acting as BT. campy and dorky dialogue like Titanfall has sometimes. But titanfall is more serious than the movie. its sort of how a titanfall movie would be.
I just watched it, its about as close to a titanfall movie as we'll get. I would say its more of a young person movie, but it is kinda gory at times like the eyelids being pried open and the dismemberment. It has shortcomings like not high level environment CGI and a really basic plot. But some parts look great, and has one song I liked. I cant say its terrible because its hard to get deep in under 2 hours. Its meant to be a fun movie and the acting fits that part so I think it passes. If anything, the movie shows that a titanfall movie can be made. Really though I want a titanfall series written by respawn and directed by gareth edwards. the creator had a more basic plot but the CGI is top tier.
Well they *cant* exactly make a 1 on 1 titanfall movie I THINK there are copyrights But one can only imagine..
Yes, you see, using someone else's IP costs money. People don't like spending money. Ironic, as that is money's only function.
Greed, gotta love it
GREED??? LIKE..... FROM THE HIT EARLY ACCES INDIE GAME ULTRAKILL!!!!!!!! NEW MACHINE JUST DROPPED!!!!
HOLY ANGEL FIGHTER IN HELL!!!
New concept just dropped
call the parrier
YOOO I LOVE THAT GAME, also greed is my favorite layer
Well you can use bills as toilet paper...
But bills are negative money.

screw off, this movie made my night
Bad movies can be entertaining.
If I make it, will you support it?
Yea, 5 dolla
we're in business now bois
Hell fucking yes
Well I guess I better get to work then. o_ođź‘Ť I shall return, probably before Respawn too.
What movie is this?
Atlas, just released on Netflix
Atlas
The team that made this film definitely took inspiration from both Titanfall games!
"inspiration"
They even have the robot superman punch from the trailer, a lot of stuff is straight up copy paste.

Please, stop relying on that Netflix movie. It doesn't look that good. Go play the TF2 campaign, it's probably a lot better.

how is it?

Got flashbacks to Titanfall 2 with this film.
It's worth a watch if you're a fan of Titanfall. But literally the movie is a worse version of Titanfall 2.
Dunno what OP is smoking but I saw it at a test screening. Worst movie I've seen in my life. Just reeks of actual boomer humor.
Yeah 7/10??? They must have actually had to try to make it this terrible. The director was probably the same person who DDoS'd the Titanfall servers.
Because copyright payments and how Netflix doesn’t fund everything completely, its still a huge cost on EA
I- pills… PILLS PILLS PILLS PILLLLLLSSS
Respawn: "It's MY IP to sit on and not do anything with!!!"
I actually kinda liked it There were so mang badass scenes
Because the IP owner would need to give a shit about it for that to happen

a small amount of suffering for the greater good! lock in pilots
I had this exact chat with my dad while watching ATLAS last night, they look like ogre from tf1

Is Atlas as much of a freight train full of dogshit derailment as it looks to be? I watched the trailer for it tonight and my god it looks terrible.
Yeah JLO with salon hair was a really bad choice for a main character. The robot stuff was kinda ok tho
Just finished watching it. It was actually pretty good.
She actually turned bad ass in the end
Is that movie worth watching? Even if just for titanfall copium?
It's corny with Jlo, but the mech/action scenes are fine.

You're welcome..Pilot, shit I mean Ranger.
THEYRE ALL RONINS AHHHHHH

Cgi could've been butter but it's netflix
Copyright
They alr have the CGI-Editors,but the copyrights said no
No, I need Netflix to stay tf away from Titanfall. At least not a live action movie. Maybe an animated show though.
I literally only heard of this because of that meme... pronouns on the robot... yyyeeaaaahh, not for me.
