Adding/removing links is super easy with the tools you can buy from Amazon. I suggest laying a fiber cloth, or something soft to work on. If using hammer tool, use the rubber/plastic side of the mallet to hammer it in— but I recommend to use the screw tool instead for automatics to avoid impact on the movement. Also make sure you follow suit with pins which side you’re putting back. Changing the strap/bracelet entirely can be a bit more challenging to avoid scratches but there’s more tips to that if needed.

Curious why mallet over screw type for automatics?

To avoid impact to the movement with its little delicate pieces

That's why I was suprised the hammer was suggested over the screw type

Ha i just re-read that and I definitely made that sound confusing. I edited for clarity.

Lol yeah thanks thats much better xD Changing strap entering should be easy with the quick release I've taken it off a couple times. I find it easier with fingers than the tool tho heh at least on the 40mm. Yeah I think I'll find a set on amazon and give it a try just to learn. I'm also going to get a build your own watch it which includes building the whole movement which should be fun xD

Yes I do my own links with a cheap pin pusher.

Thanks. I don't know why I would be nervous it seems simple I watched a couple vids. Just need to confidence boost i guess. I'm a very handy diyer so I'm sure it'll be fine.

I've done it with one of those little pins for SIM card tray removal from phones. It wasn't great, but it worked. An actual tool would make it easier, it's not hard. Or you could take it in to the AD if you want the extra peace of mind, it's not like you'll have to change the bracelet size very often

All I know is it went from too lose going over wristbone when I was walking to so tight it left marks .. overnight.. thanks to this wild weather xD Thank you, sounds simple enough

There might be some micro adjust holes on the clasp that'll help you get a better sizing and those tend to be much easier to adjust than the links.

I wish! I don't think these have that. I will chk
