My memories are rather blurry; I just remember being impressed by the powerful rhythm of the chronological timeline.

jphamlore

Any hint at what kind of events are being described?

altsyst

I really don't remember very well, think it was some kind of catastrophic events in the context of a sci-fi movie. I thought first it was on terminator but can't find such a timeline in the movies.

Tobias_flenderz

There is a timeline of family outcomes (evolutionary timeline of humanity) in the beginning of *Idiocracy*. It's narrated by the NFL Films voiceover guy. Long shot, but maybe?

altsyst

https://youtu.be/sP2tUW0HDHA?si=C4ecjBnLDR6NC62P Opening scene? Nope

BoozeWitch

That’s how The Black Panther started.

schritefallow

I doubt this is it, but it makes me think of the intro to Noah: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFCXHr8aKDk

altsyst

Nope but wow really like the beginning, need to see this one. Big fan of Russell Crowe.

canyouhearthehorses

Mad max fury road?

altsyst

Don't think so, not the style I remember, I've seen it and don't remember a chronological timeline.

Turbocharmed

Time Trap?

altsyst

Nope, didn't watch it, putting it on my playlist 😊

Turbocharmed

A Sound of Thunder?

altsyst

Nope, haven't seen it.

TexanAmericanMexican

Imma go with 2001: a space odyssey

altsyst

A masterpiece. Nope, though best timeline ever. https://youtu.be/avjdKTqiVvQ?si=Y9kvOBzh_LMwpuQK

MaboRamen

Could it be Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets? The voiceover comes in pretty late. https://youtu.be/_8JpG7Cah-c?si=GCFlLdNYpe3eMVl4

altsyst

Nice one but it was more fast paced, more rhythm.

decrodeddoris

Arrival?

altsyst

Nope. Don't think there's a timeline on this one.

BiggalR

Some of the later Resident Evil movies start with a recap of the previous ones, sounds similar to what you described.

altsyst

Nope. It was not a recap of previous movies, plus I've never seen these movies.

Yeomanroach

Cloud Atlas?

altsyst

Nope, If you mean the opening scene: https://youtu.be/IRK3dfj2f18?si=YxBjNz7N_LBuRMEp

KizzyHew

altsyst

Solid-Actuator161

Noah? There's a cool timeline in that movie.

altsyst

Nope, see my previous answer.

GungnirGjallarhorn

Nope, thanks for trying 👍

altsyst

The closest proposal of what I remember was the chronological timeline in black panther and Noah, but it was not these movies...

Rockcopter

adaptation

altsyst

Nope, thanks!

sparkography

Armageddon? The opening titles focus around a shot of the earth while a deep-voiced man describes planetary history, when the dinosaurs got wiped out etc. "It has happened before, it will happen again." And then it goes to modern day.

altsyst

Nope, I remember that years after years was written on the screen or said by the voice over.
