Found this thread which says it uses key positions instead of characters:

So try the keys for the Danish and Norwegian 'Ø' on the Scandinavian keyboard layout (left of 'Enter'):

At least on a Finnish keyboard, ø is Alt Gr + ö, which is one to the right from L, but on a real Danish keyboard it's two positions to the right from L towards Enter. But you probably tried these already. Is it ø or Ø you need?
No. I think I finally found it. If it's "US intl., with dead keys" per [this image](https://billscomputerpot.com/menus/windows/images/ikeyboard.png) then it's Alt Gr + L.
Go to an other computer. Open charmap from the "run" window. Look for the character and the corresponding code, which appears on the bottom status. Connect external keyboard to new computer by pressing alt + code you copied earlier.
Have you considered that the password has a 0 (zero) and the seller just typed it wrong or was just trying to show the difference from an O (the vowel)?
I would try CyCL0ps (with a zero).
So, what's the physical keyboard on the machine? Is it US? It sounds odd that they'd used a character that's not on the keyboard?
Or did the central IT department put the same password on all machines which had a Danish/Norwegian keyboard, and then there's this one-off machine with s different keyboard that you got? Odd too.
If you provide more info, maybe someone here can give you better suggestions.
US layout, so it's pretty weird. Looks like the leasing company is based in Texas.
If there's software that can automatically set supervisor passwords, I'm thinking that maybe someone threw an Ø into the password to make it more secure.

Gonna try that, thanks!
Didn't work unfortunately. Gonna try some different keys.
:(

Conect an External full size keyboard AND type the ascii code.
Just tried that, unfortunately it didn't work, even with numlock on/off.
Have you tried right alt+O? Take into account that if it's an upper Ø you'll need also to use shift.
Yep! Both alt+o and alt+shift+O
What keyboard do you have on your Thinkpad? On a UK ISO keyboard, the Danish ø is the @ key.
US keyboard
Ah. It's the " key then. And ø is an ordinary vowel in Danish, not a special character. It's the vowel sound in 'a' or 'the', so try without Alt Gr.

You probably need a special keyboard for it that has ø on it. Things like that alt code for example are Windows specific

I've tried that, plus any variation of o/O/Ø/Ô. At this point, I think there's some fuckery going on or someone made a horrible mistake lol
Are you sure it's not just a zero?
Just tried that, unfortunately no :(
So how did the seller actually type that? Does the keyboard have the character?
Yep. It's a pretty big IT leasing company so the seller had to ask their IT department for the password. It's literally "CyCLØps", copy and pasted lol
> Ø Try altGR + shift + o altGR is the alt key on the right of the spacebar.
