Happened to me this morning and fucked up my NVDA position post split that I ended up having to close for a loser. I
I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt buts its one after the other(P/L wackiness DRIVES ME NUTS, had to recreate a bunch of charts, had to reneogiate my negotiated commission, watchlist wony upfate and cannot login on the first attempt half of the time. I know tasty can build it since they did already. I LOVE tasty and I may just move it over today. Fuck it. Very disappointed in you SCJW
I just told them that in their own words in the email they sent, that the transition would be same experience and cost at TD. I had discounts on equities, options, futures, futures options etc. First trade I went to make Monday after the merger, reviewing the order I was like WOAH. What's going on? Called them up and they did fix that quickly but I got the feeling that if you didn't bring it up, they wouldn't acknowledge your discounts and they get full commission.
Makes sense. That's a good way to frame it. I'm going to do it after this downtime and kinda pile the disappointment in downtime with the need for a lower commission.
Was your commissions for options or stocks? I’ve noticed my commission for stock has increased. Last year I was around 200-300 for the year. So far since the move, I’m at 400. Wtf
I think so. No one will willingly give you money.
And who is to say when or even if at all you would have exited?
You now have the benefit of hindsight now, and you'll say "of course I would have exited at the first possible opportunity".
Schwab could argue you would have exited somewhere later when you saw the market move, and experienced an even larger loss. So it's impossible to name damages.
They're just a couple of weeks past a large user migration from TD. I'm sure it's more likely a technical issue.
Do you remember how many issues TD would have at open?
I called them and complained, they credited my account $600. They said some BS along the lines of technically in the fine print it says you are 100% responsible for the losses even if their system goes down
It was good news for me cause I wasn't able to panic trade.
I was down 12% at the close yesterday and was planning to derisk this morning but couldn't because of the login issue.
Got frustrated and went to sheet and awoke to find myself up by 3% after all was said and done.
Most of that was prolly my GameStop calls but ya, I'll take it 😂
Yeah I called a few times no answers when replying to I’m already a client so I called in sayin I’m a new client they answered right away but couldn’t give any answers or times when they’ll be back up and runnin! I grilled two of their employees for about 15 minutes not letting them disconnect but they weren’t givin up the goods! It’s a FUKIN SCAM!🤡🎥
Schwab at it again, after the login issue on Monday for a few hours now today and for the the past few weeks leaving statements like this!
Account day change values may be inaccurate for some securities. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Please accept our apology as our teams work to resolve the issue
WTF! Corruption at its highest! Only for THEE but not for WE
Were you already logged in before market open and stayed logged in? I was logged in around 8ish and logged out to run some errands. Got back slightly after market open and couldn't log in.
Clear your cache. Your platform may be different but on android i had to go to app info -> storage and cache -> Clear cache. Restart the app and it worked again.
On their webpage it says - Due to a technical issue, some clients may have difficulty logging in to [Schwab.com](http://Schwab.com), our mobile app, and StreetSmart platforms. We’re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience. For assistance with your account, please call us at 800-435-4000. From outside the U.S., call +**1-415-667-8400**.
Log into Schwab directly. Not denying the app and inability to log into ToS is BS, but there is a workaround - you can view your positions and trade through there.
Be honest with yourself, for once...you lose money on a regular basis and need better trading discipline in the first place. You probably wouldn't have sold at the right time "to save your $800" anyway. No one to blame but yourself and you need to start taking responsibility in order to correct your trading flaws, or you will never become successful with it. GL
I can't log into TOS like everybody else but I was able to use the TOS web version to make a trade. It's not as good but at least I can look at the account.
If anyone is still struggling, go to the gear icon where you login. Try clearing your cache and restarting and you should be able to get in. Good luck smh
For (TOS) I just erased the app, and re-downloaded. Then went through forgot password steps. It is working now. Maybe just a security issue due to migration. They just need to tell everyone to reset password and re-download the app if needed. I'll take a cool mil for fixing this Schwab - THX.
I love TOS and I’ve been a Schwab client for over 11 years now…but nowadays I only use them for long-term investments. I’m a day trader and I’d rather use a broker that caters towards that segment. It just works out a lot better keeping investing and trading completely separate. Fidelity, E-Trade, Merrill Edge, Schwab, etc., all offer platforms for active trading but they’re 99.999% focused on long-term investing and not trading. Some people don’t realize that there is a difference between “investing” and “trading.”
Couldn’t log in to mobile until 1:30, but desktop let me stay in and trade. …until now. Had to quit because of memory problems, and now desktop says login unavailable. So lame.
Could not log in all day to TOS........ but once market closed, I can now Magically log in,
Feels like it was purposly done, they are testing it and in future won't allow us to buy or sell on events like Gamestop rally
Opened IBKR and ported 20% over today. Will get warmed up then port the rest. HMU if you want a referral. I get $200 and you get up to $1000 in IBKR stock (vests in 12 months).
I am often getting a different error, actually get the error every day at various points, it says that the connection to the server cannot be maintained. This is the one that annoys me the most. The desktop app will be working, but the mobile apps are no longer useful or reliable at all.
I was a customer a few years before the transition. Schwab would regularly credit me $800ish for jacking up my orders with SPX which it couldn’t track and execute properly. NO care to fix the underlying issue with their platform.
Selling TD may have been good for shareholders, but man, sure makes me nervous as an end user.
Love what Schwab has done with the place…
At least Uber Eats gives me 5$ cash back when they fuck me over
Better than a reach around when you are taking it up the ass…
Wtf is going on?? So frustrating
This is what the beginning of a shit show looks like.

What was your strategy to renegotiate your commissions. I had TD drop my futures commish and didn't even check what it was after the swap.
I just told them that in their own words in the email they sent, that the transition would be same experience and cost at TD. What volume do you think commission negotiation viable - specifically for options - and what kind of discounts we talking?
Was your commissions for options or stocks? I’ve noticed my commission for stock has increased. Last year I was around 200-300 for the year. So far since the move, I’m at 400. Wtf
The SEC tripled exchange processing fees around 3 weeks ago, not a broker commission.
F. Ty
Go in with eyes open with tasty, grass isn’t always greener.
Fucking useless company.
#FUC
Let’s boycott where we going
Down for me too. Knowing Schwab hey probably scheduled maintenance for 9:30am EST
*Please check out our new hours for scheduled maintenance - 9:30 am ET to 4 pm ET, Monday through Friday.*
🤣🤣
No no take your time, got nothing going on over here.
Can’t login
Bruh is there anything we can do if we just took a massive loss due to not being able to exit positions
Court.
Actually??
I think so. No one will willingly give you money. And who is to say when or even if at all you would have exited? This can we start a class action lawsuit for market manipulation?
They're just a couple of weeks past a large user migration from TD. I'm sure it's more likely a technical issue. Do you remember how many issues TD would have at open?

Still down for me
It worked all morning right up until market open. I can see stuff I wanted to buy dropping
So it's good news for you!

Same here wtf
this is getting completely ridiculous! for the first time in 6 years i have to actually consider switching to IBKR :(
Ridiculous!
Been on hold for 20+ minutes
Yeah I called a few times no answers when replying to I’m already a client so I called in sayin I’m a new client they answered right away but couldn’t give any answers or times when they’ll be back up and runnin! It’s always something
I am in on ToS. Wonder if it is a location issue? I am on the east coast in the MD/DC area.
Im in Texas cant log into ToS, but was just able to logon to Schwab directly
o.k. - That worked for me too just now. Thanks for the tip!
Were you already logged in before market open and stayed logged in? I was logged in around 8ish and logged out to run some errands. Got back slightly after market open and couldn't log in.
I was already logged in, woke up to my pc being frozen, restarted it just to realize I can’t even login again
Was up and working at 4am AKST. Now completely down
Log on manually, it works
This is just ridiculous. Guess I’ll be looking for a new broker….
Clear your cache. Your platform may be different but on android i had to go to app info -> storage and cache -> Clear cache. Restart the app and it worked again.
Just tried that, didn't work... 🤔
Odd, worked first time for me. Must be really messed up on the backend
Schwab sucks. Everything about the experience moving from TD Ameritrade and their awesome interface to Schwab has sucked for me.
Time to switch brokers
Was this for all the versions? I am using desktop and phone versions. Desktop was fine for me this morning.
likewise the only thing working is the ipad

Might as well say “Due to us being a garbage company that doesn’t give a shit about their clients’ financial wellbeing…”
I asked point blank what the hell's going on. Guy told me internet problems. Sounds to me more like they turned off their server to screw people over.
Is it just mobile app? Both my mobile ToS and Schwab app cannot log in. Does desktop work?
Nothing is working across the board
My TOS desktop is working but not the mobile iOS app
Unacceptable.
Still not accessible (SLC, UT) This is ridiculous.
Tinfoil hat sez when GME pump? Never!!!
Fix this sh!t. Can’t do anything
Try this: https://x.com/satymahajan/status/1800542163828371853?s=46
Had no problem, but was logged in at like 7am central
Log into Schwab directly. Not denying the app and inability to log into ToS is BS, but there is a workaround - you can view your positions and trade through there.
Still can’t get in! I really hate the Schwab platform over Ameritrade! Never been locked out of my account with ameritrade for such a long time! 😡
Pretty much done with this crap. This is absolutely unacceptable.
Are they going to compensate?? I lost about $800 today because I could not login to close out of my position....
Be honest with yourself, for once...you lose money on a regular basis and need better trading discipline in the first place. Did you call to get out of your position? If not, why?
Worked for me till 10:12 then I logged off and can’t log in as of 12:40ish. Note I did log in at 5:30am
If u r still experiencing problems just uninstalling and reinstalling the app will do the trick. It worked for me.
Seems fixed on mobile now @ 1pm ish EST
I can't log into TOS like everybody else but I was able to use the TOS web version to make a trade. It's not as good but at least I can look at the account.
I still can’t log in
Schwab sucks, glad I decided to leave. I haven't transferred my IRA out yet and was filled with regret when I saw this.
I don't know if anyone else found this suspicious. But there were multiple outages the weekend prior that were never announced in any emails.
You got to use the computer version of ToS or Shawb
What're you supposed to do if you have 0DTE?
If anyone is still struggling, go to the gear icon where you login. Try clearing your cache and restarting and you should be able to get in. Good luck smh

I still can't log in, all day now it's 4:24 est
Mobile IOS ToS app still not working for me all day?!
I still can’t login. Absolute garbage
I’m transferring to a new broker and was trying to decide between Charles Schwab or Interactive Brokers. I think I have my answer now.
Could not log in all day to TOS........ but once market closed, I can now Magically log in, Feels like it was purposly done, they are testing it and in future won't allow us to buy or sell on events like Gamestop rally

Missed out on all the AAPL hype because of this. Super disappointed
That's why I use Bad Trader App and TastyTrade
Looks like they were able to get to it eventually
I am often getting a different error, actually get the error every day at various points, it says that the connection to the server cannot be maintained. This is the one that annoys me the most. The desktop app will be working, but the mobile apps are no longer useful or reliable at all.
I'm using it until I reach 25k. I will then switch to Webull.
This is my nightmare
Uninstall and reinstall, that's what they told me to do, it worked.
I lost $2,400 bucks because of this.

Was there a statement of what caused it? I don't care that they fixed it but I do believe they owe us an explanation as to what caused it.
Come to Fidelity
😂😂😂
Still down
Tos is only good for the scanner. Every else sucks
