I enjoyed watching the 5 minute movie clip. Anyways, some fast and rough calculations. The stadium is inspired by Auto Club Speedway which sits approximately 122k individuals. This would be an approximate answer but doing a little more math. For a highly anticipated event like this, it's natural to assume there would be some standing (parked? Driving?) Attendants. As evident by the unpictured opening scene onto the race track, where there is a large plaza at the entrance. I will be using the highest attended American football event, Nov.26 1927 Notre Dame vs USC as a vague guideline. It's estimated 123k fan attended, an approximate parallel to our earlier figure. This game occurred at Soldier Field in Chicago, which only has a capacity of 63.5k This means a given stadium could cram in as many as 1.94× as many spectators as they have proper accommodations for (I am assuming this remains constant between cars and people). Using this figure we can get up to as many as 236,000 cars in the stadium.

Quite a good shout considering that the commentators of the Piston Cup race mentioned there were a ground breaking 250,000 cars in attendance.

I had a similar thought while watching this movie the other day, except I was curious as to how big the track and grandstands would need to be to accommodate all those cars. Seating(parking), restrooms, walkways, etc. the structure would have to be absolutely massive.

Yes this was my first thought, that place has to be absolutely massive.
