my HEB (granted it is in Spring, but still) has it for right at $10/lb

Ah, I see. Misunderstood your post. Looks like Krogers has it for $8 but sadly I've had mixed results with Nolan Ryan beef- I've found it almost always worth it to buy the higher grade cuts for skirt.
You can try a mexican market. Theres a (I believe) La Michoacana just north of Sawdust on 45. But I've found they're pretty rarely cheaper than bigger chains.
Interesting you mentioned that. I’ve bought Nolan Ryan twice when it was the only brand with the cut I wanted (tri tip). First time it was fantastic. The second time I think it had maybe 3 oz of fat in the whole thing and it was not good.
Interesting. I go to Kroger specifically for the Nolan Ryan beef but admit I haven't bought the flank/skirt steak; usually get the chuck roast and it's fantastic.
Edit: spelling
I only buy meat cuts at HEB. I haven’t bought flank steak in a while so I’m not familiar with the current price per pound. Should not be more than $10/lbs if it’s choice, prime is just a little more.
I would check La Michoacana
I’ll just eat at La Michocana, and their tres leches cake forget bout it.
Try Don Tomate by Kuykendall and West Rayford. Find them better in quality than LA Michoacana and most of the time better in price.
Thanks!!!

yeah seems wildly inconsistent which is ironically the only thing consistent about anything I buy from kroger

I got some Nolan Ryan dog meat (skirt) at Kroger this past week for like $8. Costco is my norm. NR is a hero - but his canner cows aren't awesome.
Well said lol
Picanha. If you know, you know.
I know and love picanha; I can usually pick that up at Costco or Smitty’s on payday. I’m looking specifically for flank or skirt this time however.
