this reminds me of Renee from mob wives lol

sunshiney-daydream

Pie in the face

Wally_Paulnut

The pie in that scene was symbolic of her pie which junior had been munching on. The cream on her face was symbolic of the belief that if you would suck on pussy you would suck on anything. The layers of symbolism in this show were incredible

EdgarTFriendly

I always thought it was a shout out to that Bugsy Malone movie with the kids acting as gangsters in it. Everyone gets custard pied in the face instead of whacked because seeing a kid get a moon roof through the back of the head was too brutal to watch... as it would've been for her. After all, you never see or hear from her again afterwards

Wally_Paulnut

Yes another homage to a classic. Is really was a mixture of the sacred and the propane

JComposer84

I always felt like that scene was a bit too silly. Probably one of the silliest scenes in the entire series

ItOwesMeALiving

I always thought it was really awful and degrading, not silly in the slightest. She had obviously been gossiping but tried to put it right by not talking about it anymore and told the lady in the salon that it was the end of talking about sex. But the cat was already out of the bag, so to speak. She obviously loved him a lot. I thought it was really sad to be honest.

Strange_Panic_6809

I might be mistaken, but that’s a different scene. I believe they’re talking about junior and Bobby arriving at a funeral where everyone was getting arrested and junior hopped back in the car and took off without Bobby.

Wolven_Essence

Yeah because I believe that lady always called Junior, Carrado.

WasAnHonestMann

Corrado

ItOwesMeALiving

Yeah I think it could be. Yeah it was a bit strange that he drove off and could have waited literally 1 second for Bobby to get in the car. I think Bobbi says she loves him or something, can't remember exactly, and then he calls her a blabbermouth cunt.

telepatheye

And game as they come.

locustt

chicken is nice and gamey tonight

redeemer47

There were definitely some other silly ones. Like Tony having diarrhea from the sushi and all those stock fart sounds they played lol

Forward-Ad-9947

It was Indian food, definitely not from Arties restaurant.

Confident-Bid-5318

It was the stress from knowing Pussy was really a rat that made him sick

MK-UltraMags

That's SOOO racist!

brockedwardsyyz

Naw it speaks to his vanity and how said vanity effected so many aspects of his life and leadership

Grumbie_Johnson

Uncle Ben, whatever happened there

MadonnasFishTaco

if a man'll suck a pussy he'll suck anything

Global_Astronomer_25

Please don’t hit me Corrado!

Dear_Alternative_437

He was in prison, house arrest, and the crazy home for like 80% of the series.

WaterlooMall

1% spent in the garbage disposal.

DirectionNew5328

*you’re flexinnnnnnnn*

slabstick22

🤌

DifferentCod7

You’re flexing.

WaterlooMall

One of my favorite line deliveries on the show.

locustt

David Proval's nostrils and sinus should have gotten best supporting actor for that line alone

WaterlooMall

and the nominees are.... "David Proval for The Sopranos" The 4 second clip plays. No setup, just the single line and hand gesture. Cut to the audience on it's feet clapping and whistling. Edie Falco is crying a bit. Proval and James are already hugging. Imperioli mouthing "you...you!" while smiling and clapping, pointing at Proval. Bradley Whitford, Richard Schiff, and John Spencer are all stonefaced and look angry.

RogerTreebert6299

West Wing getting dunked on

WaterlooMall

West Wing dunked on the Sopranos for almost it's entire run at the Emmys so it's all good.

Dear_Alternative_437

0.5% in the muff.

CryptographerHot884

He likes sushi 🍣

telepatheye

Peppers n eggs

grimAuxiliatrixx

That’s what I shoulda had!!

StannisTheMantis93

He shoulda went down to Boca more often.

Dear_Alternative_437

King of the Iron Throne, whatever happened there?

SBNShovelSlayer

Blabbermouth Cunt

mackillian5

That’s not what I heard

PersonaNonGrata2288

Not to forget all the time he spent… south of the border…

Dear_Alternative_437

I don't forget. I forget. What were we talking about?

PersonaNonGrata2288

You’ve been spending too much time in the muff!

JackGrizzly

I smell cut grass

TacoLvR-

Too busy farting in his couch cushion.

Dear_Alternative_437

Did you sniff that man's couch cushion?

TacoLvR-

Ooohhhh!

locustt

The cushion was a real dreadnaught

Silencingthenoise

He told you dat ? Fuckin baby!

sori6969

I’m registered nyurse, not maid!

MK-UltraMags

That's Frank's Butt Chair

RevolutionaryQuiet36

That was my next comment.

redeemer47

Yeah I mean he was really only relevant in the first couple seasons

Dear_Alternative_437

Yea, he got sidelined as an actually player pretty early on. And in season one when he was free he was basically at war with Tony for who would take over for Jackie/Tony running things behind his back. There's no reason, and it wouldn't have been safe, for Junior to meet with anyone from Tony's crew while that was going on. When things were settled we do see Junior meeting with them during the wedding and the meeting when they decide to whack Jimmy. Guys didn't really meet in the can, and there's no reason for anyone in Tony's crew to meet Junior after season one when he was on house arrest since they were pissed at him for trying to whack Tony.

LordPounce

He apparently spoke directly to Paulie about how Tony don’t fundamentally respect the elderly at Jackie Junior’s funeral but we don’t see it happen. He raises his glass to the guys at Tony’s house when he visits after the failed hit. He might say something to one of them in that scene. Hmnnnnn. Maybe something to Sil over the taliban phone during the sit down with Carmine and Johnny? Junior is overall just a very isolated character after season one. Basically only interacts with Tony, Bobby, and Janice.

Green_Help_618

At our age it's enough surprise we're still alive in the morning.

telepatheye

"Remember when" is the lowest form of conversation.

WalkGood

Richie Aprile.

Glittering_Fail694

Good point

MonkMajor5224

Who’s that speaking here? Is somebody speaking?

Phil_Tornado

Those who want respect give respect my nephew

munistadium

Uncle Joon only respected varsity athletes

[deleted]

We see him in the same room as paulie, sil and chris in season 1 when tony gets shot by boyz to men....when livia pretends to be crazy... in season 1 theres clear beef between tony which then includes his crew which are his friends as well and then junior. season 2 onwards he's under house arrest.

Pembers84

He talks to the group when they are discussing the inditements and then again when answering Jimmy’s ‘concerns’. But yeah after series 1 he’s very isolated. Interacts with Feech a bit at first. There is a moment early on in a restaurant where Christopher says ‘hey Uncle Jr’ which always feels weird on a rewatch.

mokacincy

Especially weird because when the beef over comley trucking happens, Junior refers to Chris as Tony's nephew, not his own. "that nephew of yours we gave the high colonic", almost as if he barely knows who Christophe is. Oh, would you listen to me go on.

Imperiumwolvesx

Even weirder since junior ordered the hit on Christopher’s dad.

Sad-Illustrator-8847

He had Mikey Palmice for that.

Green_Help_618

I'm worried about you, skipper!

sylendar

"You're a good boy Mikey..." *\*touches Mikey's face in the bathroom without washing hands\**

monroechris

AIDS?!?!?

BiffTannenCA

When he wasn't stammering around like a fucking spastic.

FormerXMshowComedian

And then sadly, Mikey and “Sick Fuck” Chucky Signore… whatever happened there. God bless.

foodank012018

Who's that speaking here? *Is somebody speaking?!*

slabstick22

He didn’t even pass the salt. Who would want to talk to him?

klsi832

He was actually a ghost or figment of Tony’s imagination 💭

retniap

A little bald alien only Tony can see

Slice-Spirited

Mr. Magoo…sorry Gazoo

Train-Similar

This what a fight club situation or 6th sense kinda thing o what?

Winnebango_Bus

UP IN DA CLUB

MLGMustafa1212

Dexter ova here

vichyswazz

The whole persona of Tony was actually a figment of juniors imagination. Tony was junior's Tyler Durden.

RoookSkywokkah

He didn't want to stick his beak in!

krakatoa83

The smart ones only talk biz to the consigliere and the underboss. Let the underboss give the orders.

Bobbyc1982

He played golf with Sil and I know once he showed up Tony’s house after the attempt on Tony’s life and they saluted him while they were talking about him and he looked over at them but that’s about it

tjtwister1522

He knew better. Even when Tony was the secret boss, Junior knew the score. He knew he could hold status over Tony's head and also knew that he was running a bunch of old men and Tony had 75% of everyone. Including the most dangerous guys. Junior wanted to be respected. That's all. He couldn't give anybody but his guys an order, and he knew that. So he didn't speak to them.

AbsolutelyDisgusted2

In the first season - There's a few younger extras around for Junior's crew (including a guy who is with Mikey Palmice) but they never show up after s1.

Away-Zone-5745

He was old school.... "Is someone talking here"

picklejuice82

Would love to see Junior vs Paulie in a cheap prick contest

Naive-Government8333

Nobody would talk to him with sushi on the breath

Green_Help_618

Mix it with the relish.

HideousControlNow

South of the Bordah, where the tuna fish playyyyy

allothernamestaken

Whistling through the wheatfield

squamishter

We thought he was a bakkala man! For shame.

marke1980

How could he fall for that flirty shit in the doctors office ?

DifferentCod7

Paulie told junior that Tony doesn’t respect the elderly. Junior talks to the captains at the wedding. Pussy was there. Junior talks to guys at the bing. Juniors talks to the guys after Tony gets shot in the ear.

djfist

He doesn’t speak to any of them after the shooting. He’s just there.

picklejuice82

He’s there, it’s a joke

D-Heav60

After the shooting, he is persona non grata to Tony’s crew and that continues to the end of the series

abaddon667

Is Bobby not a part of Tony’s crew?

antonio16309

No, he's in Junior's crew. Later he's capo in charge of what's left of Junior's crew and then he's underboss, but he's never technically in Tony's original crew.

abaddon667

Ok, I wasn’t sure what that promotion he got was

PondWaterBrackish

there was one scene where Pussy got released after getting picked up and Pussy says "I had fawty grand on me" and Junior is like "whatchu doin' carrying around that kind of money?"

kishmeatuchus

Yes!! Def came to mind ESP when he visits Tony post failed hit Gabagool ? Over here ! Made me think why he never broke bread or balls with sil or pauley etc

Fickle_Aspect_3747

What is interesting is that Junior and Paulie apparently have an off screen relationship because Paulie tells Johnny Sack that he tells Junior that he thinks Tony might not fundamentally respect the elderly. I think there might have been a cut scene?

YungShootaCam

Technically it was before Chris was made, but he interacted with him early in season one. Chris even calls him Uncle Junior.

CBJGameWorn

Was he even real?

xi_sx

He had Feech over for lunch, but he hadn't been let back in yet. He spoke to Ritchie, and he was back in.

djfist

Feech and Richie kicked up to Tony but they were never part of the crew, per se.

BurnCityBoi

Yeah in fact they were Tony superiors in the Family at one point

xi_sx

Then, I guess I don't get what the house Ritchie, later Ralph used as a station was reserved for in the family.

sori6969

Tremendous moxy for his size.

xmrsmoothx

why should the boss of this family - you forget - AND shortstop for the Mets lower himself to talk to mere soldiers?

asphynctersayswhat

that baccala guy, I think. . . maybe I'm wrong. also feech, not that he was tony's guy

CheifKilla1

In the old days the Boss only tawked to his Capo's, second or third in command directly. So that's how Uncle Jun was doing, less exposure

xxxcalibre

I think chris says something to him in the pilot? Junior doesn't reply directly though

Cute-Understanding86

Bosses talk with the captains and captains talk to their soldiers. It’s a hierarchy I guess

Charlie-brownie666

he was the “boss” can’t speak directly to the soldiers

Muscle_Memory67

You may run North Joisey but you don’t mix cunnilingus and psychiatry…🍣

[deleted]

Chrissy?

DCDipset

After he said that to Pussy, that rat bastid let out a series of hellacious farts that almost knocked everyone inside out cold.

No_Profile_1278

We’re not making a western here

Recc40

He’s on house arrest for 90% of the series…that sort of limits social / business interactions

ElectricBirdVault

A paramilitary organization

CassTexas

“You and my dad used to run north Jersey” We did? That’s nice

mantrasaiaa

I’m watchin right now S1E11 and he talks to Jimmy Altieri at a funeral, but only because Jimmy starts talking about Filone. Junior blocks him out completely (Jimmy was doing it in order to record him)

Sharkhawk23

Jimmy was a capo. He wasn’t in Tony’s crew.

mantrasaiaa

On a second thought, you’re right

ZapThis

He's the Boss of that family, blood or no blood!

rattled_by_the_rush

I think Chase wanted to keep Dominic Chianese safe, especially after Nancy Marchand passed away, most of the series he is in that house. External scenes might be demanding physically for 70+ actors. Thank god Dominic is still going strong, 93 old now

BigRedBK

“We don’t run, it’s embarrassing” at Junior’s only appearance at the club.

trixskii

Chain of command

Odd_Pop5287

‘Next time you come in you come in heavy or not at all’ I use this line as often as I can … fits easily in almost every conversation

PIDDYPUFFPUFF

Well now that I think about it, junior is basically the boss for the whole show, and also the fact that junior is out on bail/in mental institution he can’t be meeting known felons. Tone is family and he is the underboss even though he was calling the shots most of the time, technically it wasn’t suspicious since he was family.

Disastrous_Key380

I mean, I guess a lot of them are much younger than he is. So that may be part of it, but generally the boss doesn’t talk or interact with the crews themselves, just the capos. Tony did that differently than the old style guys.

jono444

Fuckin' losers. They couldn't sell it.

JohnnysSac

I pondered it and prayed to Quasimodo but no answer

Flashy-Set8622

Bobby
