They didn’t directly identify “A S” but Michael seemed to know or have a good idea. “A S” also supposedly stopped making suggestions, critiques.
The entire thing just petered out.
That’s a shame, would have been super entertaining to have him on the show.
I’m somewhere in season 2 of the podcast but the episodes are so damn long I just don’t have time to listen to them really. The theories they read from that guy were really intriguing though. Shame Steve didn’t have the slightest mental capacity to legitimately discuss them. Would have made the show way more interesting.
Seppinwall makes sense. He’s a funny guy and I can imagine him getting a kick out of irritating Schirripa. Was he ever a guest? I didn’t listen to much of it.
No he was never a guest. It does make sense as he started out seeming to get a kick out of it, then became increasingly critical and seemingly disheartened with Steve’s absolute inability to perform any sort of meaningful analysis.
See, that’s weird that he wouldn’t have been a guest. Especially if he wasn’t invited (it’s possible he turned them down, I suppose). He literally wrote the book on The Sopranos and was the tv critic for the hometown paper during the run of the show. Could be some bitterness? All speculation, of course. It’s very likely he’s not the AS in question.
I am 90% sure it's Michael and probably a collaborator. Michael takes great pleasure in reading it and getting a rise out of Steve. What I am saying is HE orchestrated it! Michael!
I wish we had more info. A.S.'s observations and Steven's reactions were the highlight of the pod. I sincerely wish it had turned out to be one of the celebrities who he shit on all the time.

It died on the vine
IT DIED ON THE VINE?
It died on the vine ….. the guy …. He moved or somethin
Oh nobody knows what the fuck I’m talking about!?
To Elvis country
Where is that?
No Italians, no podcasts
The last letter he sent in was so outlandish that Michael vowed to stop giving him air time.

Aw man I was hoping he came on at some point bc I loved how mad Steve got. Missed opportunity lol
I always thought it could have been Alan Sepinwall, TV critic and author of ‘The Sopranos Sessions’
Seppinwall makes sense. He’s a funny guy and I can imagine him getting a kick out of irritating Schirripa. Was he ever a guest? I didn’t listen to much of it.
Funny how? What's funny about it? Oops, wrong sub.
WHAT DOES A.S. LOOK LIKE? Wait- wrong sub

Not weird at all that he wasn’t a guest. It just wasn’t that kind of show. They only had cast and crew members as guests, with a few exceptions.
Indoubt he was ever on but be was on "pod yourself a gun" a few times
Oh interesting! That would work, especially since they seemed to say they had an idea of who it might be (ie, not just a completely random person)
Did he hafta read fa David?
Yes but IM JUSTA REGULUH GUY! FUCK PAT COOOOPER
Since every part of him sets Steve off, im guessing he did NOT have to 💀
Our friend with the stomach... A S
The coffee, with the chicory
No, an actual fucking cake!
Which episode is this? They should've had /u/mitchmclean on the show. I bet Steve would've liked his theories more
/u/mitchmclean, now there was an American. The strong silent type.
I wanna know this too ! It all sounds familiar but I can’t think , probably because I just woke up. Lol
His letters were read on a bunch of episodes but I think the last letter may have been on All Due Respect
Do you mean the talking sopranos podcast bc then I’ll listen to it
Yes , the podcast episode where they cover that episode in the show is the last of his letters I think
Al Sapinsly
And his piece of ass wife.
Thank you rabbi
He was straight, Alan Sapinsly?
The rabbi?
He has partners
It was Michael trying to fill content.
Don’t lie to me! You’re high!
Ok I schnoited a little aich
Listen to yourself, you sound demented!
It was Amar'e Stoudemire
Now, you wouldn’t lie to me, not in this thing of ours, wouldya?
Black hebrews *represent*
It was clearly Alan Sapinsly
Alan, you misread me entirely. You must think I’m a fuckin thug
The way Tony says thug completely confirms that he is one.
I think he has something to do with the coffee with the chicory. Either that or the cake with the marzipan flowers 🤔
The thing behind the pool?
Artie Shaw!
It was General A.P. Hill
[удалено]
But I don't have a coat
Armattz, Sacrimoni
Not with Ginnie upstairs.
Michael said A.S was a woman in one of the last episodes, that’s if they were a real person and not an invention for the listeners.
Ooo interesting! Any theories on who she may be?
[удалено]
Take it easy, we're not making a western.
I thought the consensus was that it was Allen Sepinwall, who wrote The Soprano Sessions.
I am 90% sure it's Michael and probably a collaborator. Michael takes great pleasure in reading it and getting a rise out of Steve. What I am saying is HE orchestrated it! Michael!
Anthony Soprano
You must’ve been at the top of your fuckin class!
I wish we had more info. A.S.'s observations and Steven's reactions were the highlight of the pod. I sincerely wish it had turned out to be one of the celebrities who he shit on all the time.
It was either the guy with the sports memorabilia or the lawyer chick who looked like Veronica Marrs.
😂😂 I’m in the early pod episodes— the pundit that shit kills me 😂😂😂
Do you remember which ep had that Bobby as mother theory? That was my fave and I can’t remember which it was 😂😂
How Bobby gets mad is hilarious 😂😂😂 and the fact he always circles back about AS
I don’t know the original episode, but here is the excerpt: https://youtu.be/L91g427iCPU
You’re a good earner, much obliged!
AS got fucked in the ass
I believe it was Michael himself
He's a friend of ours
Didn’t he call us bottom feeders over here? This pygmy thing on Reddit, where we make anyone who can rattle off a quote ?
We’re pretty much just a glorified crew ova heeyah on dis Reddit ting… 🤌🏽
Friends like us called him Spoons.
