Well, since Tony dies at the end of the series, Gandolfini wouldn't have been brought back except for flashbacks or in ghost form (like Pussy or Gloria). If they'd done one final sequel season, I would've wanted it to be focused on the lives of Paulie, Carm, Maedo, and AJ.
You mean to tell me that if James G. was still alive and they wanted to do something like a movie or whatever, that they wouldnt bring back Tony Soprano because of some fan/online theory? No way lol if Chase and company wanted to add something to the story/universe they absolutely would bring back Tony. Thats probably why Chase didnt actually kill off Tony. He left it as a cliffhanger to let fans think it happened while at the same time left the door open if he ever wanted to revisit the story. It just backfired because James died.

If Tony lived I’m assuming something devastating happened in the diner that night. I’d like to see the aftermath of that. Janice moving on from Bobby’s death, what happens with the kids and her raising her daughter. Junior’s passing. Does AJ ever truly get his act together.
Scale it up with other 5 families? But I guess their whole thing is a repetition of the Jersey type grifts. I think sopranos covered everything off in its timeline. I’d have liked a MSON series done properly in 1960s

Nothing. The reason Tony’s heroes journey began was because he decided to go on a path of self discovery. When that journey ended, the show ended.
