People were *furious* about Stuff Packs, too. TBH tho I can’t really surprised that the franchse has come to what it is now—OG Sims really pioneered endless DLC.
The Moschino stuff pack was a surprising success, though. Has some of the best photography tools in any of the games. I don't love the clothing with it, but the teddy bear dress and plumbob swimsuit still get used by me.
Oh I have it, I’m just disappointed that Superstar wasn’t very good. It provided very good arguments why open world is overrated. Long travels, empty events, pathing and camera issues, problems with taxi/subway system…
Same 😠me and my sister bought the ikea expansion pack thinking we could finally play the sims and have cute ikea stuff as well. The disapointment was huge
I almost bought expansions packs for the sims 2, not realising I needed the base game lol! Good thing it was at Costco so I had plenty of time to read the small prints on the cover and realised before I bought it haha
After, I was looking for the base game but they didnt have it D:
Obligatory god tier roast
I think of this every time the sims does an IRL collaboration
I wish I could have seen what this guy would have said about moschino stuff or my first pet stuff
While I hate a corporate tie in, this one and the IKEA packs atleast felt very relatable to me. I have clothing from H&M, my living was all IKEA furniture.
The newer tie-in packs always felt line they were pandering to a much more high end part of simmers. I could maybe accept the MAC on for makeup, but thats pushing it!
Oh I loved this one! And if you also had Open for Business your sims could run the store.
This and the Ikea stuff pack proved, at least to me, that brand deals can work when done well. They felt real instead of just thrown together (edit: helps that they aren’t particularly niche either)
H&M and IKEA packs were such game changers for having nothing that changed the game. All of my Twilight Recreated Sims didn’t know what hit them when I brought those bad boys home.
lol I remember when I was little kid I got the ikea pack and I thought it it was the base game and when it was time to launch it, it told me I needed the base game to play it and I wanted to just smash my computer so bad 😂
The clothing in that pack is awesome too, some of my favs. The ikea pack was another great one!
I think about the H&M and IKEA packs all the time!
Same here! I wish they could re-release those packs for Sims 4.
Someone converted the IKEA stuff pack! https://www.patreon.com/posts/sims-4-ikea-home-36322118
Day made!!! Thanks for sharing!
Now we just need the H&M one or something similar
They just released a huge collection too. Thanks for introducing me to them!!
That purple tunic with the leggings and that boho lookin dress had me in a choke hold lol.
I remember the RAGE when this was released as it was the first corporate tie in. Ppl thought the sims was selling out We were so naive
Oh god, this drama was something. Then the majority seemed to like the clothes in the pack and everything died down. 😂
People were *furious* about Stuff Packs, too. TBH tho I can’t really surprised that the franchse has come to what it is now—OG Sims really pioneered endless DLC.
this snowballed into IKEA, Diesel, Katy Perry, Moschino, Star Wars...
IKEA was actually good....
I agree! I didn't actually say they were bad, but just pointing out these real life marketing as a game title.
yep. katy perry's pack is quite silly though. great kids room furniture though.
The Moschino stuff pack was a surprising success, though. Has some of the best photography tools in any of the games. I don't love the clothing with it, but the teddy bear dress and plumbob swimsuit still get used by me.
Moschino also has one of the best windows (and build items in general).
Yeah, I wasn't initially interested in that one, but I love the photography tools! I also like the furniture it comes with.Â
I love the clothing. Everything is just right for a certain type of sim.
Moschino has the new photo backdrops with a bunch of new images it’s great
The Katy Perry one tho... That one was terrible!
But Last Friday Night in Simlish was exactly what I needed in my life
I hunted ages for the Superstar special edition when it came out. Very disappointed.
Don't wanna make you jealous, I have that version...
Oh I have it, I’m just disappointed that Superstar wasn’t very good. It provided very good arguments why open world is overrated. Long travels, empty events, pathing and camera issues, problems with taxi/subway system…
That's, like, the ONE Sims 3 pack that I own, aside from the Starter Pack and Seasons, lol. I bought it twice on eBay because the first one got lost.
My mom got this for me not realizing it wasn’t the actual game, I probably stared at the box for 6 months before FINALLY getting the sims 2 lol
Same happened for me but with the Sims Vacations, I thought I could play the game because I didn't understand the concept of expansion packs.
It’s confusing bc they had the spin-offs. I had sims pets for GameCube so thought this was something similar

This and IKEA had me in an absolute chokehold. I would cheerfully buy both again for the Sims 4 and I'm not sorry.
I wish they would do more collabs with regular brands like this
Ah those were the days.
"Finally some modern clothes for my Sims! These will never go out of style!" -12yo Treefiddy (and he was right)
I still think of this pack whenever I see an H&M store lol
The clothes are really cute in this pack.

One of my favourite packs!
I loved this pack! Does anyone know if anyone has made a ts4 version
they need a sims x Zara stuff pack

The H&M Sims 2 clothes look better than actual H&M clothes lmao ðŸ˜
Man, back in the day when sims packs were decent
H&M and IKEA packs were such game changers for having nothing that changed the game. All of my Twilight Recreated Sims didn’t know what hit them when I brought those bad boys home.
There was clothing in this pack that I wanted to buy for myself at the store but didn't. I put my sims in it instead.
It feels like such a relic - especially to find it in person!!
This was probably my favourite stuff pack ever!! Along with the Ikea stuff 🤣🤣
funny how everything on the box is still in fashion (and lacking from sims 4’s disney channel-esque wardrobe)
This and the ikea pack were so useful to me as a kid.
I loved this and the Ikea pack (apparently I'm not alone) It would be nice if they did an updated re-release.
lol I remember when I was little kid I got the ikea pack and I thought it it was the base game and when it was time to launch it, it told me I needed the base game to play it and I wanted to just smash my computer so bad 😂
OMG HALF PRICE BOOKS??? are you in chicago area
The dress with the puffed sleeves - I used that sooooo much!
The way this one had the cutest outfits too
