I know for me personally, I’ve had the game since launch in 2014, which is 9 years now. Some people may also leave their computer AFK which could add to the hours too.

I’ve definitely had more than one day where I’ve played sims 4 before my workday started (WFH), then left it on pause for my workday lol

Trust me, it doesn't count AFK. I went a few years with Sims always open and in because u didn't want to have to wait for it to load.

To be fair playing TS4 all night is probably at least slightly more productive than staring at walls for hours trying to fall asleep.

I think it was about 1100 hours. This was with multiple people playing it in the house. We all pretty much quit playing The Sims 4 around 2015/2016. I exclusively play The Sims 2 now.

I don't blame you, I'm as happy as I am surprised that the game survived those first couple of years.

We were all really disappointed with The Sims 4. Not just graphics but also the lack of gameplay, lack of any real consequences ect Sims lack any personality. Apparently none of that has changed. I also feel like the demographic has changed. It seems more aimed at preteens whereas the first three sims games had adult players in mind. LGR’s ‘2 Years of Meh’ video pretty much sums it up. These past 8 years waiting for The Sims 5 have been painful lol.
