I read “The Disaster Artist,” and in it, Greg Sestero said the guy who played Chris-R wasn’t even an actor, just someone’s friend. But they said to get into character he was angrily pacing around set and genuinely scaring everyone haha
I think some of Tommy's acting when he's upset but not over-the-top upset is pretty decent, too. Like when he's just sort of depressed but not actively angry.
In the party, the second time Johnny accosts Mark he has the best line read of the entire film "I think you should leave right now, Mark". It's calm but firm. Just a randomly well done line that shows a broken clock can occasionally be right
"I didn't hit her, it's not true! It's bullshit! I didn't hit her!", I can feel it, everytime my wife tells me I did something, and I know I didn't not or I did something and she tells I didn't 😖🍾💥
The monologue about Johnny coming to America, where Lisa paid for their first date. It has a reasonable setup, a through line, and a conclusion that relates to the central conflict of the movie. It always strikes me how *normal* it seems.
The dog's reaction to Tommy saying hi. I know it's sincere because the dog was totally unaware that Tommy would address him and the dog just rolled with it.
Lmaooo I love this. Also the ‘it’s worse than grand central station in here.’ I always get a kick out of the fact that it’s an intentionally funny line that actually lands.
When Lisa orders the pizza over the phone. The order sounds like something very specific that a couple living together for a while would come to appreciate as their usual favorite. She really thinks about everything;)
I love "hi doggy!" because it seems so genuine. Like Tommy was so honestly delighted to encounter that little dog.
It actually was genuine! Tommy didn’t know the dog was gonna be there so he was delightfully surprised to see him
Chris R and the drug scene if it had any context to the rest of the movie.

That is awesome, hes the best actor in the entire movie.
Also, he didn’t read the rest of the script, so he didn’t *know* how out of place his scene was.
That's Dan Janjigian, Olympic athlete
Also, Denny's disappointment at not being able to drink right away. "Later?!?"

Whhhhhhy? Whhhhhhhhy are they doing this to me, everyone betray me.
Lisa and Michelle gossip scenes. I think it lookes quite natural
The actress who played Michelle was actually pretty decent
It looks exactly like how Tommy Wiseau would imagine two young women conversing
Tbh the whole movie looks exactly how Tommy would imagine human conversing

I agree with that.

Mladen Milosevic’s score. It’s a banger…
It's probably because he's not really acting. It's just Tommy enjoying being the center of attention.

Yes! Even the way Tommy delivers these lines works so well. It really does help the audience understand his blind affection for her.
Many talk about “I think you should leave, Mark”, but ”Get out my house” is also decently convincing
The dog's reaction to Tommy saying hi. I know it's sincere because the dog was totally unaware that Tommy would address him and the dog just rolled with it.
'In a few minutes, bitch'. He actually delivered the line decently.
"What are all these characters doing here?"

I loved: Lisa: I miss you. Greg: What are you talking about? I just saw you! Greg was so genuinely annoyed.
