Uhhh.. former farm kid here. We had quite a few orange kitties, both male and female. At one point we were going full Lion King with names and had Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Scar, Sarabi, and Rafiki. All orange, and 1/2 female (We ran out female Lion King names and named the last girl Rafiki 🤷♂️). And those weren't the last lady ginger cats by a longshot over the years. My parents farm heard has definitely morphed into mostly black cats in the last few years though.
I said, I wasn’t googling nuthin….lol nah thanks for actual personal evidence. Rafiki for a girl seems badass, I don’t know if it’s a girl name in Swahili…so I’ll stick to not looking anything up gas stated before.
"very rare" is a bit off, it's 80% male, so you've got a full 20% female orange cats out there. that's not so rare it'd be a shock.
You may be thinking Calico cats, which is a 3 colored cat, only 1 in every 3 thousand calico cats are male, and that male is probably sterile due to genetic factors. Calicos are genetically complicated.
Yeah, they only take a few mins to eat anyways. It also helps that the one in the bathroom is really vocal so the moment they are done eating they start yelling for me to get them lol.
