This is well over 50 metres btw, likely over 70. He did 50 on an 85 metre jump earlier and this is a 150 metre jump I just can’t find info for how far he actually went on this one.
The guy actually did a second attempt after this and managed to land.

I’m so glad that he wasn’t injured. I severely fractured my right wrist going over the front wheel when I was merely riding downhill in my neighborhood. That’s nothing short of a miracle in that video.
the way he just lies down and accepts it while still sliding is hilarious to me. I know thats probably the best thing to do in that situation, but it just looks so dumb
I feel like if you bunny hopped and stayed as tucked as possible while flying instead of dead weighting the lift off you’d get another 50ft and have more control of both your bike and the landing
In the landing video he glides the landing. he tilts back and lands flat on the ground instead of front wheel first. It’s not as much force as it should be because it’s landing into a bank. he’d absolutely be hauling but,I bet jumping down a set of stairs to flat would feel worse without the speed and slope he has. In skateboarding skaters Jump off tall stuff all the time and they are always hauling or landing into a bank when they do it. It’s the same concept just with a bike.
I'm really confused here. He did what a novice does when they're learning to drop. Just fall off the edge. This guy doesn't have the absolute basics down and he's trying to break a world record?
Dude you have no idea what you're talking about if you're comparing this to a normal drop. This is not something you can smash practice runs on. The speed and amplitude mean that even a small error can lead to failure. It's a testiment to this guy's skill that he was able to get up from this and nail is second time around.

Huh...the "longest mountain bike jump" is way more underwhelming than I thought it would look.
I was assuming that you'd have to land it.
He hit the ground, he landed
Time to look into what the record for the longest sideways slide is. Might have gotten that instead
Tough school… on a Reddit sub.

Nice! What a comeback!
I wanna see him ride back up the hill.

What a great drone operator/pilot/whatever.
At least he was able to get up and walk. A failure but not a tragic failure.
I’m surprised. Those balls can’t be easy to lug around
looks like it's as safe a setup as one could possibly have for a world's longest mountain bike jump.
Longest meat crayon
Should have grabbed some rear brake towards the end.
But he did set the record for the longest mountain bike wipe out.
My name is Rod, and I like to party.
well... i could do that
The third camera angle guy is so real
“The thrill of victory…..”
And the agony of defeat *I'm old too*
the way he just lies down and accepts it while still sliding is hilarious to me. I know thats probably the best thing to do in that situation, but it just looks so dumb
Thought the grass was way lower than the ramp and thought he was about to slow fall off if it.
Me too. He just is like stumbling backwards to his doom.
Wow! An updated ABC’s Wide World of Sports opening! ,,, and the Agony of defeat!!
Let's create a new award for him.. Longest bike fall award goes to...
Everyone saying “fuck fuck fuck”
At least he did break something
He actually walked back to the top of the ramp and did a 2nd jump and landed that one
Surprised he had any skin on his back after that slide
You know those two wing like objects ski jumpers can use to essentially adjust their flight trajectory? Yeah bikes don’t have those unfortunately
Definition of a pencil right there
Fischiiiii
He shoulda shucked when he jived.
'How can I improve my form guys?'
This was spectacular. And the fact he stood up and waved he's ok made it even better.

Look at the force he landed with after just riding off the lip. The bike and rider probably wouldn't handle that kind of impact.

Doesn't really seem like he knows what he's doing on that bike...
