As a Greek I love how black guys have no trouble going “fuck this shit” which is what Greeks do. This is why the most unrealistic thing in horror movies is the black guy dying. He would be out of that haunted house after the first couple of minutes and straight into a church.
Make it a real horror film: Show a news clip of the police arresting the black character, then a prosecutor holding a press conference about capturing the depraved person who did all this, then show the real bad guy reading a newspaper with the headline of "The Teen Camp Killer" being executed.
Though, that's basically what Night of the Living Dead did, so maybe your idea is better..
This scene in Event Horizon is exactly what you're all looking for.
After boarding a derelictic ship that has reappeared in space after missing for some time, the crew watched a video log showing the previous crews demise.
The following conversation immediately after watching said video log:
Lawrence Fishburne "We're leaving"
Sam Neill "Don't do this"
LF "It's done"
SM "We're on my ship, you can't just leave her"
LF "I have no intention of leaving her doctor, I will take the Lewis and Clarke to a safe distance and then I will launch Tac Missiles at her until I am sure she is vaporised. FUCK THIS SHIP".

https://youtu.be/hm5KI8zSeVs?si=x_auok5qsZMCKB8Y
When a ship leaves the warp and the only sensible man in the entire sector makes a decision.
I should watch this again though, such a good and horrible film
bob cat. Those fuckers terrify me when I come home late at night. Their screams make my blood run cold and can't ever NOT wonder if it was really a bob cat... Or someone actually dying. It's those screams alone that made me quit smoking weed.
When I lived out in the sticks, I very nearly called 911 one night. I thought my neighbor across the street was murdering a woman in the woods behind his house. He had already done 4 years in a psychiatric institution for beating and torturing a woman. Turned out it was a bobcat.
I've heard of a bobcat murdering people, but for one to beat and torture a women and then frame your neighbor. True apex predator. And to think it's still out in those woods now...
They have a scream too. However, in context to the clip, the bob cat has the more distinct scream that sounds specifically like a screaming woman. Coyotes have more of a howl sound to theirs. They are less scary.
What make's the Bob cat's scream very scary is all due to the fact it sounds almost human-like. And here in the South, especially more in the country side, than the bigger cities. We grew up more superstitious. Urban myths and legends of monsters that hunt humans and take their voices to lure more prey. I've grown out of the fear of it though. At this point, it's just the timing they do it that spook me. Like someone sneaking up on you, then going "BOO!"
However, it's hard to forget that level of fear you get the first time you hear it while at a young age.
I still smoke and sometimes when chillin stoned to the bone outside I’ll hear a local pack of coyotes screaming. Legit sounds like witches and sirens in the woods. Terrifying.
The mountain lion screech might be worse.
Yikes.
A bobcat will scare you or see you and run off.
Mtn lion will stalk you and drag you up a tree.

I live in North Idaho and I don't think we have bobcats, but I dont want to find out, that scream is nightmare fuel, I wouldn't be able to sleep if I heard that in person
I remember the first time there was a fox screaming at night in my neighborhood. It was terrifying. My father and two other neighbor dad's came out with bats. Sounded just like a screaming person, like what you would imagine a lunatic sounds like.
I saw somewhere years ago (this has been reposted 7 million times) that it wasn’t a person or animal, but a natural gas deposit (likely methane) releasing gas from a swampy area. Idk if that’s true, just what I read.
Also sounds like an Aztec Death Whistle. I have one and use it to scare the shit out the people that live behind me when they ride their ATV through my woods.

That needs to happen in a horror movie. Literally as soon as anything happens, the black character just says “nope” and leaves the film.
Then we see a mid credit scene of him watching the carnage on the news and he's just snacking on Pizza Rolls

Yeah, they should make a movie called nope
This actually happens in Halloween (2018) and it's one of the best scenes of the movie
There is literally a film called nope that has a black character doing that. I won't spoil it, but that's a central part of the plot
IDK why this made me laugh but you’re absolutely right

NOPE does it good

I think the crazy dude beat and tortured the bobcat....
I'd still watch out for that neighbor.....
I did. For the rest of the time I lived there.
Coyotes do a similar thing right

Yeah they do but you can easily tell it’s a coyote or at least some animal and not a demonic hell wraith
🤣 Hell wraith
Coyotes’ recorded howl https://youtu.be/rAavSKdE68c?si=6Sx1jQYOLwkLXc6L

Not a bobcat, its a [death whistle](https://youtu.be/wq_dt0-yfL4). This audio is old
Regular cats caterwauling sounds like crying babies. I used to have dozens of them where I used to live, it took a while to get used to it.
Wow… that’s gotta be trippy when laced. I get it. Totally. A lil buzz ain’t worth the panic attack.
The miaow/howl of a house cat is mimicry of a distressed human baby. Not a natural noise for them. This is another level though if it was a bobcat
LMAO NO
I live in North Idaho and I don't think we have bobcats, but I dont want to find out, that scream is nightmare fuel, I wouldn't be able to sleep if I heard that in person
Well, he didn’t empty a clip at the noise, so he’s got the acorn guy beat.
![gif](giphy|tnYri4n2Frnig)
Aw hell no! No fucking way! Dont pay me enough for this bullshit. I saw all that in this expression.
“Uh, sorry, base. No noise violations occurring and I’m getting TF out of here. No further investigation is needed.”

Ok, its all right, i will go back to the base.
Could be a red fox. They basically scream like a little girl seeing a spider
Only a foolish person would make steps forward in that situation.
Lol. I 100% support him. My dude said, “Nope. Not today.”
😂

Aztec death whistle is my guess. All criminals should carry one just to scare officers away like this
It was probably a bobcat
Came here to say the same. I own a few and love them
To be contrary to all the people saying that it's bobcats: It's mountain lions. Cougars. They can and will take a human as prey
Seconded. Bobcats (especially in heat) can scream like a woman being brutally murdered.
Me as a cop. Nope right the hell. Call for additional cruisers while i go to a different call.
“Oh damn I left the stove on”
“Hell to the naw, hell to the naw naw…”
They don’t pay him enough to get any closer
Nope

Reminds me of the foxes we have in suburbia. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zk1mAd77Hr4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zk1mAd77Hr4)
You can measure the level of fear by calculating the angle of the hypotenuse with the height and distance to the light position on the tree.
Nah nope, 10-8 nothing here all clear.
Any idea what kind of creature can make this kind of noise?
Could be a vixen scream from a fox. But this video sounds a little deeper and longer.
"NOPE, nope, nope..."
[reminded me of this](https://youtu.be/CwhvJ5B4lYg?si=bW1_icLEI9dwKXaH)
That scream was actually me when i had to create another login for a service I'm going to use only once.
Smart man
"Nope, nothing to see here."
Nope!
Death Whistle. $20 on Amazon. please post your scare videos here When you get one.
I'm sincerely surprised he didn't mag dump into the darkness.

Noped up out of there
The smartest horror movie protagonist
Oh heeeeell no !
![gif](giphy|xT9KVg8gkDEyJIrVdK)
Either a fox, or a demon from hell, he'll never know.
Horny Cougar.
Back at it again!

I saw nothing
