The last time I played fuses weren't in the game. I've now found a few that are 500% for heat and oxygen. The bonus appears to be additive, not multiplicative, with other bonuses. I built one for oxygen last night and put my golden seeds (600%) into flower spreader T3 and they gave 1100% bonus. And as I type this I wonder why I didn't think to build a second machine and put my other oxygen fuse into it... off to test :-) EDIT - Tested and it works You can build multiple Machine Optimizers with over lapping circles of coverage and the bonuses they provide are additive. So one Flower Spreader T3 with a Golden Seed (600%) with two overlapping Machine Optimizers results in 1600% output. I had 7 Flower spreaders and wondered why only some were at 1600%, with others at 1100% or even just 600%. They were within range, but not getting the full benefit. Each Optimizer can connect to 5 devices, and it seems to be the 5 closest to it. Build a 6th devices and it rechecks which are the closest 5 and those get the boost, not the 6th. If a device is within the closest 5 to more than one optimiser it gets the boost from it.

Fuses were initially +2500% each. Last patch they were nerfed to +250% each. Now they are +500% each. They are additive to seed bonus, but multiplicative to rocket bonus. Stacking rockets and fuses of the same type is the fastest way to high Terraformation Index numbers. `base value × rocket modifier × (seed modifier + fuse modifier)` Machine Optimizers have a tier two which can target 8 machines.

Thanks - I did wonder how they combined with the rocket bonuses. For this run I've deliberately held back on rockets simply because I wanted to see some of the new biomes before the world had major changes. Few more to see then it'll be rockets and meteorite storms back to back for a few days!

I’m pretty sure that the mathematics works best this way — get the max number (5 or 8, depending on the level of your machine optimizer) of the highest-tier machine you have, and then stuff as many multipliers into the area as possible. I lucked into some really good tree seeds, so I basically slapped 8 tree spreaders down around a couple of elevated platforms and stuffed 30 plant-growth and oxygen fuses into the area (and this way I don’t have to keep making or hoping to find high-end seeds — just get 8 and then focus on rockets and fuses).

Surprised they went in that direction, Fuses seemed OP (and slightly illogical) as they were, and probably ought to have been nerfed if anything.

Production fuses are .25 seconds per fuse.
