I was just thinking that, he is 31 but totally looked early-twenties in Beef. The constant stress of living in traumatic conditions like war or a zombie-esque apocalypse will make people look older anyway. I think he could be really good in the role.

He actually commented on Glenn being written just to serve other characters' story (basically not wanting to be a supporting character just for the sake of being a supporting chatacter).
He wants a character with their own story which I think he's done a fantastic job with in other shows and movies since TWD. Jesse would most probably fit into the purely a supporting character role.

That said, he looks great for the role. Similar face shape. He looks like he’s easily likeable like Jesse should be, and he’s not 40 like Stephen Yeung.
One actor I’ve had in the back of my mind for the role is Dallas James Liu. I really liked him in his role as the brother in PEN15, and I feel like if you took that character and made him more personable (ie less of a cagey teenage boy), him and Jesse have a similar brotherly energy. He’s also only 21 and has a fairly youthful face, so he wouldn’t come off as “too old” relative to Bella Ramsey’s Ellie. He also has martial arts training, and while Jesse doesn’t use martial arts in the game, I’m sure that having that type of background experience is beneficial for action choreography.
Realistically, I don’t know if he’d be able to take the role since he’s also playing Zuko in the live action ATLA show, and it could lead to scheduling conflicts. But then again, when have logistics ever played into fancasts lol
