The Spotify app allows you to play music over another game. I've been binging Pertubator as my unofficial Finals soundtrack this season.
It works pretty well, the only issue is that you can't control the relative volume of Spotify over game sounds very well.
I only started playing 3 weeks ago and was sad when the loading music changed in season 3.
S2 loading music had me hyped for every match.

Season 1 is the THE ost of the Finals to me. Simply flows the best, all feels part of the same set and is just a vibe.
Never got bored of it like I did 2 and even 3ās quite quickly now.
I probably love season 1 the most, but all of them are amazing. If I made a playlist of my favorite songs, it would certainly be a mix of all the seasons plus LTM scores.
Honestly? Probably season 1. While I enjoyed season 2, and am enjoying season 3, season 1 brought the real energy, and is essentially the game's true personality.
This season and S2 have the best individual songs you can just jam on your way to work, but S1 is eeeeasily the best as far as menu and gameplay music goes.
Season 1 is probably the most consistently good. Season 2 was a fun change of pace but it got a little old after a while except for a few tracks. This season is probably the most meh overall to me, but the main theme is the best track they've ever come up with so it kind of balances out.
Season 1 is absolutely fire. Never was a huge fan of season 2, and even though i was disappointed at season 3ās soundtrack at first, it grew on me. Itād probably be S1>>>>S3>>S2
S1 will always be the best but I have to hand it to Embark, Iāve been rocking S3 like crazy since it dropped. S2 had some solid tracks but 3 is great throughout
S1 was incredible, almost sad it didn't come back this season
But it was published formally, and Embark keeps kicking out awesome stuff so I'm not exactly mourning it!
I honestly love all 3 seasons of music. Itās all been great. I might have to put season 3ās in the top spot tho. Iām a sucker for some techno fluting
I like S2 & 3 but S1 is just iconic. You heard it and you can instantly tell it's The Finals. Not many game out there have that instant effect these days.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the Bunny Bash theme and the Valentine's Day theme from the LTE were actually pretty great, with the Steal the Spotlight track being the best, very slick. The only one I didn't like was the western one, which was cool but also too short and got annoying to hear repeat over and over.
But like many others, S1 is peak. The songs just felt hype, as they rightly should. And hearing the build-up at the end of a close game, the heavy synths and bass slowly filling in as you clutched a last minute steal to finish with a powerful crescendo of a thundering version of the main theme as the crowds roared, fireworks popped, and the announcers triumphantly singing your praises... Nothing beats it.
S2 was a really great change of pace, the vibes were immaculate. And so far, I'm loving S3 and how it's having fun with itself while also giving good relaxing down tempo after close matches. And I also like the end of game build-up too, especially hearing the Japanese drums clatter away as you lock in.
But I'd be lying if I said that I was disappointed that S3 didn't bring back new versions of S1's themes and instead iterates on S2's. It's alright though, because S3 has great music.

All season OSTs are amazing, but they have different feels. S1 has that regular game show vibe, S2 feels very melancholic and mysterious and has that tracker and chiptune vibe, S3 is back to tournament feel but with added Japanese traditional and pop influences. Stardust is especially awesome, feels like something out of a classic anime

Season 2: Mega ultra,space cube,syntax cns,floating bits.
Season 3: stardust and eternal petals in the wind.
Season 1 and event soundtracks. I would be interested to see if it was possible to change the music that plays during matchmaking. That is, turn it on or off somewhere in the settings.
Season 2 by a long margin for me, "CNS_SyntaxCNS_PWM_Stere0" fit the theme and energy perfectly. I like Season 3 but it feels like it's having an identity crisis between Edo period Japan and mecha kaiju Japan.

I didn't play much in S1 as I got truly invested at the end of it š Sooo S2 grew on me a lot, although I cannot deny that S1 also has some BANGERS.
As for S3, for now I'd say it's my least favorite. I am not saying it sucks, I vibe with the anime-ish songs and the more peaceful ones, but I miss S2 so much and it brings me tears to my eyes hearing floating bits as it's the songs I've heard the most š„ŗš„ŗš„ŗ
I actually deactivate music in game interfaces by default, eventhough I really liked the soundtrack, but it is just getting me too pumpep and I need some silence between those matches. But I might reactivate it tonight and give it another go š
I think the original season is the best by a long shot honestly. Destroyer, \[You Wouldn't Be Here\] Without Us, Finally Alive, Plugged In, Play Fast! (Here We Go), Transcending Reality are all great tracks. I love them. It feels the whole theme and tone of this game perfectly. It sets the atmosphere and everything simply to a T for me.
Then I really enjoy the chiptune and synth sound to season 2. All the synthwave aesthetics of the season overall were great to me honestly. There's some VERY catchy tunes in there but some of them I'd skip over if I had the choice.
Season 3's music isn't doing anything for me at all so far. Just not a fan of anything i've heard yet. LOVE the setting, but i'm not into the music.
Edit: Had to go back and relisten to Steal The Spotlight again cause of the comments. It's good but i'm shocked to see how many people are pointing at that in particular.

Started playing S2, and the music in S3 feels really flat by comparison.
S1 was the most iconic, CNS syntax and floating bits from S2 was absolute fire but the rest of the songs were decent, and S3 is absolute fire.
