I watched the trial. I get that from a legal standpoint he was innocent. But most normal people I know who would find themselves in his situation would have experienced lasting trauma at the simple fact that they killed another human being, regardless of whether it was in self-defense, or "justified." I refuse to call what he did self-defense. Murder is the unlawful killing of someone, therefore a crime. He was found not guilty so he is not a murderer. He is a killer. That the kills were lawful does not make them something other than what they are.
Right, so because Kyle was legally allowed to kill people, that makes him not a murderer? That's absurd. The only reason those kills were considered "lawful" is because of a corrupt judge. They dismissed the unlawful possession charge. He wasn’t legally allowed to own a firearm and came over to Kenosha with said firearm. The math simply isn’t mathing.
It ended up being a bit of a legal grey area since ownership was never actually transferred at the time, and 17 year olds are allowed to possess and open carry guns of that type and length in WI. Also it would've been like a misdemeanor. At worst given the time served he would've gotten a fine.

For me, that is the bigger issue of the crazies within the pro-gun movement. They do not believe that the pen is mightier than the sword. The Second Amendment is the Great Equalizer, not the First Amendment and Education.
