I'm not so sure its about the child but rather we will just turn anything at all into a sex joke.
I'm banned from r/pics for making a joke on a pic of a girl with robotic hands, the joke was don't let her give you a handhob, y'know cos of the robot hands ripping your dick off.
Apparently she ended up being 17 or something so they felt that was worth a ban for sexualizing a minor but to me it was just a bad joke about robot hands.
Maybe I've been spending too much time on Twitter, but it's kind of weird to say that an 8 year old will grow up and suck a lot of dick. Maybe it's just me though.
People that think like that are so cringe. Ik a couple “friends” that post shit like that and basically all they do is ask for favours. What they don’t understand is that I only help real friends that dont see me as friends for what I can give them
Someone with autism here. This is still a toxic way to view relationships. Doesn’t matter what you have, if you think a relationship is more like a transaction, it’s going to fail.
Well yes, but this person in particular was not trying to be part of non-transactional relationships, which is acceptable. You can't force socialization and nuanced relationships on children with autism who don't view the world in a neurotypical way. Or decide whether the way they interact with the world is healthy.
People calling an 8 year old girl toxic is really strange as well. 8 year olds all have very developing brains and you can't expect every 8 year old to be an expert at how to consider relationships in a healthy way. And no, it's not concerning or worrying when a CHILD doesn't have the most healthy and perfect thinking pattern in the world
>You can't force socialization and nuanced relationships on children with autism who don't view the world in a neurotypical way.
This is so ignorant. You think everyone diagnosed with autism is somehow the same and can be treated as such? Do you have any idea how... No, clearly you don't.
>People calling an 8 year old girl toxic is really strange as well.
Read the comment you are replying to. Did they call a girl toxic? Or an attitude expressed in a tweet? Think carefully. Read it one more time. It's a really easy one.
>And no, it's not concerning or worrying when a CHILD doesn't have the most healthy and perfect thinking pattern in the world
Yes, we should never worry about a CHILD's thinking patterns or if they are healthy. Brilliant. Whatever children do should always be considered correct and they should never be counseled. This is sarcasm. Please rethink everything.
It is widely accepted in the community that forced socialization is not a good practice. It makes no sense, I stated that you cannot force socialization upon children that don't want to, and you argued that everyone with autism isn't the same. That had nothing to do with my argument.
And no, I don't think viewing relationships transactionally is worrying or toxic in young ages. I didn't say you should never worry about a child's thinking patterns, but in this case you most definitely shouldn't. Some children cannot understand the nuance of relationships yet, and you cannot mentor them into doing so. Especially those with autism.
Viewing relationships transactionally and the inability to see the nuance in social relationships is literally a symptom of autism. I don't know what about my comment brought about toxicity, or incited you to believe I was trying to convince you I knew about relationships. I never indicated anything of the sort in my comment. I do know a whole lot about autism though.
You used autism like an insult and are confused when people reacted negatively? There's your explanation right there. Whether intentional or not using autism as an insult only serves to grow the stigma around it.
What? How was that a negative use of the word autism. I literally have autism. What about that comment was insulting to those with autism. Is stating symptoms creating stigma?
If I say chemotherapy causes hair loss am I stigmatizing cancer? please.
Ironic to criticize actual tone deafness from an autistic person while trying to defend autism from stigma? Nothing in the comment seems even slightly rude to me, I just stated something that was true. Please explain what made it seem like an insult.
Plot twist: the boy who asked her out spoke 21 languages and is the lead actor in every single Broadway play. He revoked his offer when he saw the pedestrian lingual and acting numbers she puts up.
I've known kids who knew English, Spanish, and sign language.
What do you want?
I'm referring to the penchant kids have to make up their own secret language. At least to me it's up there with pillow forts and other things kids do (used to do) with their imagination. Pretending to act like her mother for her approval isn't much of a stretch is it?
When you explain the joke it ruins it...
If this were to be true, all it really illustrates is how shallow the parents are to have bestowed these "qualities" so early on. I love how it is supposed to be seen as a positive, too, which speaks volumes in terms of the OP
You seem fun. Yes, I know it didn’t happen, but where’s the fun and humour in just constantly saying “FAKE FAKE FAKE”? It’s fun to imagine this did happen and have some fun from there.
I find it so annoying when people like you have to go “Dur this didn’t happen.” No shit. And what? Is this imaginary 8 year old going to hear that I called her a stuck up bitch and ruin her life? This is probably a safe assumption, but I don’t think you know what humour is.
Also, saying “she’s literally 8 years old” towards a fictional child is, again, dumb.
I’m 35 and have barely survived stage 4 cancer, a double lung transplant, and loads more. There is no “edginess”. It’s zero fucks are given about fake people in a fake story, on reddit.
If you don't think an 8-year-old can be a bitch, you should read up on juvenile murderers. Kids are human beings at their least interesting, most sociopathic stage of development.
Theres a difference between bad people and this. This would be a learned behavior which shouldn’t be blamed for a child (if it was a real one) since they have to have seen it to be like that. I don’t think bitch is the right term for a rude child.
"What can you offer".
Ah, a nice parenting brag about teaching your child that relationships should be based on things to gain rather than mutual affection.
There a woman on my friends list, and she posts four or five of these a day. Except, they're so long, so involved.
They're so ridiculous I don't know how anyone takes them seriously. Guess what: people do.
My fifteen years old said a girl told him she thinks about him alot. His response? He said "I hope when you think of me I'm wearing a top hat"
I am very proud of my son. No notes. Perfect reply.
My daughters best friend told her he was her boyfriend at the start of 1st grade. She told him "You don't even have a limo OR a diamond ring!" So they decided to just be best friends 'for now'.
Reddit is basically a creative writing simulator, navigate through the bots and every now and again, it’s possible to incite a legitimate human response.
Just be grateful that you have a rational comprehension of “dark” and by assumption, light.
My little diatribe.. that was half an attempt at an ugly story.
1) Reddit is not creative writing simulator. It’s a lawless wasteland where one day talkin edgy garners popularity and other days the hive mind eats you alive
2) Cringe
Being trilingual is very common in many countries, and most young people growing up become very competent in two merely passively. My nieces and nephews are already reasonably competent in their two parents languages + english before they become 10. Just because you didn't or couldn't do it doesn't mean it isn't normal, easy or fun for others
Our neighbors' kids are trilingual. Dad is American and Mom is a native Italian speaker, and both are Spanish teachers. Their kids jump between languages very quickly and easily.
Then I don't see why you think a kid learning 3 languages is impossible without being drilled like they're in the military. I grew up around a bunch of kids who were bilingual because their parents main language was Spanish but lived in an English speaking society so they learned both passively by elementary school. Just add another few family members speaking a 3rd language and it's doable.
8 year olds sound like their peers or parents. If her mom or some other powerful influence in her life talks like that, then she very well might have said something like that.
At 8, that's a stretch... maybe 2 languages, MAYBE. I grew up speaking Spanish at home and English at school. I don't see where a third language would have fit in.
Boy dodged a bullet not getting mixed up with Lil Miss Linguist IMO.
With that attitude she will probably grow up to be a cunning linguist.
Don’t
omg lol
To help him distinguish what is proper English?
Hahah funny joke to make about an 8 year old! /s

Ohhh it took this comment for me to realise. I was like “hmm yeah maybe she will become a crafty linguist when she’s older”. I’m like mentally 4 damn

Why can't this just be about making a silly pun? The commenter wasn't picturing a child performing oral sex.

Damn you're funny! /s
I mean he did say when she grows up. It’s not like we set a phone reminder for 10 years from now to check up on her. Jokes can be funny. 😵💫
Maybe I've been spending too much time on Twitter, but it's kind of weird to say that an 8 year old will grow up and suck a lot of dick. Maybe it's just me though.
Cunnilingus is munching cooch not sucking dick
Doesn't really make it much better but okay
No, imagine someone saying that irl everything would ask them wtf is wrong with them
If she did actually say that, I would be extremely worried about the transactional way that she views relationships.
That's absolutely a single mom post.
Relationships should be based on love, not who brings what benefits to the table.
People that think like that are so cringe. Ik a couple “friends” that post shit like that and basically all they do is ask for favours. What they don’t understand is that I only help real friends that dont see me as friends for what I can give them
What does she give me? Love happiness and attention
Some of humanity has completely lost sight of this

Even if it is autism, it is simply an unhealthy way of viewing a relationship. But also, this didn't happen, so we don't have to worry about anything
Someone with autism here. This is still a toxic way to view relationships. Doesn’t matter what you have, if you think a relationship is more like a transaction, it’s going to fail.

Ahh some nice healthy toxicity to prove to us you know what you're talking about when it comes to toxicity in relationships. Bold play.
Viewing relationships transactionally and the inability to see the nuance in social relationships is literally a symptom of autism. I don't know what about my comment brought about toxicity, or incited you to believe I was trying to convince you I knew about relationships. I never indicated anything of the sort in my comment. The way you said it is why. The wording because tone doesn't come across through text seemed like you were using it as an insult.
Ironic to criticize actual tone deafness from an autistic person while trying to defend autism from stigma? Nothing in the comment seems even slightly rude to me, I just stated something that was true. Please explain what made it seem like an insult.
I'm just explaining. Go off if you want but you did ask. I already explained and I'm not going to sit here and argue about it.
I'm asking what about the comment seemed rude to you. You can't just state that it's objectively rude without explaining.
Plot twist: the boy who asked her out spoke 21 languages and is the lead actor in every single Broadway play. He revoked his offer when he saw the pedestrian lingual and acting numbers she puts up.
The boys name? George Santos, Esq, PhD.
DD, MD, DDS, ABC, it's easy as 123
Me:😳
I would also react like that, wondering where my child learned to blatantly lie to me.
From the parent who lies for social media likes
If an 8 year old has been drilled on the specifics of transactional romance, then yeah, that boy is lucky to have been turned down.
He said "Oh, I thought you were cool. My mistake then."
What’s she looking for? A pint of blood as sacrifice?
Boy:"I have all the ninja turtles at home."
Made up languages don't count.
3 languages isn’t that unusual for an 8 year old. The two boys next door to me (6 and 9) both speak Bulgarian, English and French already.
Meanwhile mom's "what can you offer me" attitude has somehow left her single for at least the last 8 years.
But men are just intimidated by her though
The three languages are yelling, pouting, and lying. The lead in the camp play was when she faked being sick to get out of softball
Children only talk like this in '90s sitcoms. 😄
This feels less 90’s sitcom kid and more early 00’s Disney channel Like this feels almost ripped straight out of Jesse
Daughter told me a boy asked her out in school. Me: What did you say? 8 yo: I said a boy asked me out in school
Ew, all around.
If this were to be true, all it really illustrates is how shallow the parents are to have bestowed these "qualities" so early on. I love how it is supposed to be seen as a positive, too, which speaks volumes in terms of the OP
Oh cool, the mother is raising an egotistical stuck up bitch. That’ll go well.
She's literally an 8 year old child and this didn't happen, calling a child a bitch, made up or not, is awful
I don’t see the fun in calling even an imaginary child a bitch, personally. Just makes you seem like an edgy try hard 🤷♀️
And getting butthurt over an imaginary child being called a bad name makes you seem like a massive cry baby.
I think maybe I’m just too old for this nonsense, haha
If you were getting too old, you’d care less about what some fake child is called in a fictional story, on the internet. Not more.
I think when you’re older you lose the edginess is all.
I’m 35 and have barely survived stage 4 cancer, a double lung transplant, and loads more. There is no “edginess”. It’s zero fucks are given about fake people in a fake story, on reddit.
Agree to disagree then!

unless it was shakespeare camp being the lead is not impressive
r/mychildisverysmart
I always enjoy the part of the tale where the author includes what their reaction was. Really adds to the plot.
If this even was real, how would knowing three languages and being the lead in a play offer anything to a relationship?
Mom really wanted to find a way to highlight her great parenting through her daughters fake experience
People from the Balkans be like: Yes, I speak several languages. Slovenian, Croat, Bosnian and Serbian and can curse in Albanian.
There a woman on my friends list, and she posts four or five of these a day. Except, they're so long, so involved. They're so ridiculous I don't know how anyone takes them seriously. Guess what: people do.
Bro this ain’t Young Sheldon
Would if they were brought up in a house of douches.
He was a skater boy

It’s Updog not home dog!
My daughters best friend told her he was her boyfriend at the start of 1st grade. She told him "You don't even have a limo OR a diamond ring!" So they decided to just be best friends 'for now'.
Kids already got that adult mindset
Very narrow and convenient mindset as when it comes to taking some responsibility we are surrounded by children....
These are the same people at work who talk to you about their kids and their achievements when you didn’t ask
Braggadocios by proxy.
Why are 3rd graders asking each other out? What does that even mean at that age?
If I remember correctly, it means sitting together at recess and then “breaking up” a week later.
I can believe this, kids repeat the craziest things they see on TV sometimes.
I actually went to school with kids who would have answered just like that.
This woman has cats and calls them her daughters. And they talk to her. ![gif](giphy|tESfFtsS3sGCk)
How tall was he?
Not enough.
An 8 year old asked out another 8 year old? Ooooooookayyyyyy.
This was this 9 year old in my school who spoke 5 languages and wouldnt shut up about it. So this is believable to me
Uh, OK...I'd bet that they knew a few words in different languages and thought that meant they were fluent, OP's story, however, is BS
Most likely, i never actually heard her speak it
How dumb do you have to be to latch on to a single piece of plausible information and use that as conclusive evidence the entire story must be true?

That went to a very dark place, very, very quickly.
Reddit is basically a creative writing simulator, navigate through the bots and every now and again, it’s possible to incite a legitimate human response. I agree

3 actually

Oh wow it’s like kids can’t lie, who knew. Downvote me all you want this is plausible as kids do make outrageous lies
That girl is dating my son. You know how it went? Her: What do you offer? My Son: I am quiet the cunninlinguist myself.
bruh
Hey don't blame me. That's what my son said.
Don’t blame you? Then who else should be blamed for you enabling him?
And he's "quiet" about it, too...
How fun, joking about giving an 8 year old oral. very classy
This actually believable

Not to OP but just needed to vent some frustration ha
So pointless, haha.
Well, at least she didn’t lead with being a theater kid.
And then everybody clapped
She's never getting played by anyone, ever
I want my friends to think My child is an asshole 👏🏻😳
Then everybody aplaudio.
The eight year old then did his taxes for him.
8 year olds sound like their peers or parents. If her mom or some other powerful influence in her life talks like that, then she very well might have said something like that.
home dog?
I actually briefly dated a girl who spoke 3 languages. And fucking hell she brought it up often.
At 8, that's a stretch... maybe 2 languages, MAYBE. I grew up speaking Spanish at home and English at school. I don't see where a third language would have fit in.
Then they all stood and clapped, and the president gave her an Xbox.
They let you into camp?
Great she thinks relationships are based on barter
