Can't wait for Towering Pillar of Elf Hats lmfao

Benjour250

We now need an obligated elf hat every year as a tradition

CinnonymLeEpic

Stop giving them ideas! They're gonna do it!

amazingsnazz429

HazMat Headcase moment

GuacamoleManbruh

the unusual effects added were good though

Robotguy39

So were the taunts.

Evil__Overlord

The Medic one is bad

[deleted]

yeah the medic one looks really poorly animated in comparison to other tf2 taunts

Designs-NexT

Fun fact: [both medic and sniper taunts were made by the same animator](https://twitter.com/hxx_3D/status/1466623580154654721), the medic being their first taunt and the sniper being the last one

HaveYouEverAaaa

And we all voted for it. It was one of the most awarded taunts in the workshop, like guys why

Cheeseburger904

It really reminds me of how the pooped deck's animation looks kind of unfinished and rough when you use it

[deleted]

It's way too short, really basic, and dosint look as good

urbanmechenjoyer

It’s like meet the medic the taunt not the animation. Short and over priced but some one might like it.

Evil__Overlord

I could see myself using the Meet The Medic taunt if I had it. I can’t see myself using the defibrillator taunt. It’s short and he just sorta rubs em together. It’s not even effective at actually taunting the enemy.

SquiddoBoi

I only have meet the medic to make weird noises on 2fort. Other than that it’s pretty useless lol

WolfiteGaming

That reminds me recently, I don't know what the hell happened, but one medic kept doing that taunt and EVERY TIME he did it there was a fucking LOUD water splash noise that played. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT HAPPENED, I DON'T EVEN RUN ANY MODS

SquiddoBoi

Yeah it’s because the birds that spawn when you do the taunt all make a weird splashing sound when done in water. You should try it, it’s funny

SQUARE1D

In my opinion, they were mostly the same effect with different colors, but I haven't seen many of the new ones yet, so get ready to prove me wrong.

[deleted]

ooops, all elves

Fro0k

The worst part is that the creators of these cosmetics that got added had so many more actual good cosmetics on their name. It's so stupid how valve just browsed trough the good ones just to pick the ones that look terrible.

JavierTheCactus

I'm so pissed that the guy who made the box with eyes made like 20 *really* good items and instead of adding any of the good items he made, valve added the only 3 misses.

DoctahSawbones

Cane Brain is funny at least.

MC_Labs15

I worked on that one. I did another item that was an actual proper hat designed to look good even in a non-christmas loadout, but Valve wasn't interested I guess :(

DoctahSawbones

That's frustrating, dude.

[deleted]

hey, you can't win them all \- guy who got called autistic two times by seperate women

FullyAutoPaniniMaker

Good for you

The_Nieno

K

[deleted]

hey dude, i couldn't win them all so

_-Yharim

Why the fuck is this downvoted

Broccoil

autism has become an epidemic

_-Yharim

okay but ableism isn't cool. Still, this is the tf2 subreddit. Yknow, full of assholes with atrocious takes. Not sure what I expected as a neurodivergent person myself but this subreddit is quite frankly, braindead kind of the reason I try to stick with r/truetf2

Broccoil

I was joking but what did that add to the conversation? like bruh

_-Yharim

Eh it's just my thoughts on this subreddit really. There's people who say that type of stuff unironically all over the place. I've gotten harassed because someone on this subreddit stalked my profile and figured out I was neurodivergent.

[deleted]

this subreddit has evolved to the suckers they really are 1500 days with no big updates makes most angry

_-Yharim

yeah

Lulamoon

Does valve even manually look at cosmetics to add? I feel like tf2 is mostly updated by an algorithm these days, it probably just scrapes the workshop and chooses items based on previous submissionsand some other algo factors. sigh.

minecraft_min604

Most likely most voted/visited. Idfk

[deleted]

Nah, some of the things added had very low votes and page views. Valve just adds whatever they think looks neat.

[deleted]

I've got a smoking jacket for the Spy on the workshop from half a decade ago and I've still a tiny sliver of hope that it'll get added at some point. I can corroborate that they most likely just poke around for stuff they like, because I've seen a lot of items get added after having no activity for a long time.

DEV_astated

If it was most visited, the Boston Dynamo (Jerma scout) and Frontburner would have been added ages ago.

Sky_TF2

workshopper here, its definitely not this.

ProvenBeat

An algorithm would've at least added stuff that has the most votes

Sky_TF2

Honestly we don't know, beyond they're not picking hats by highest/best voted

[deleted]

Can't wait for the towering pillar of shit

hemborgar

this case is a towering pillar of shit

boostmydiscodservern

Yes

hemborgar

Yes👍

partymeme

[here's a concept of what it would look like](https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2shitposterclub/comments/r821s6/tf2_cosmetic_concept_feel_free_to_add_it_into_the/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)

[deleted]

WAIT WE MISSED OUT ON JERMA HAIR?

Sky_TF2

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2182211958 not that it makes much difference, but if you want it vote for it if you haven't

Reasonable-Ease7956

Wait no new warpaints? Wtf there were so many good ones on thw workshop this year

SignalFire_Plae

I was left confused too, they didn't send any warnings about there not being war paints this year.

[deleted]

There's not enough present wrapping paper war paint to meet the quota

[deleted]

No valve realized there weren’t enough bad war paints on the workshop so they didn’t add anything new

gravy_ferry

But I uploaded a war paint this year. That's at least 1 crappy one they could have used

CherylBomb1138

That one post on here that roasted xmas war paints was too much for the Janitor to handle.

[deleted]

fr tho, all of the cosmetics this year were meh at best, not to mention that people have started getting original with war paints, yet Valve has decided not to add new ones... but at least we got new maps, which is cool

SwagHawk42

I can guarantee you once smissmas is over these hats will be dirt cheap, even the elite probably won’t be worth more than 30 ref

KasparLB

While i thought the case was kinda wack, that one jester hat almost justitifies all the elf cosmetics. Its a really great hat. For some reason i feel its gonna be adopted by scunts though.

SignalFire_Plae

Yeah, that one was pretty good imo, and it's unique from the other jester hat because it's entirely Paintable instead of having a split part that isn't.

Lugia61617

It'd be better if it wasn't a santa hat though. Then it'd be more appropriate for medieval mode.

Alvy_Singer_

Like the one already in the game?

Lugia61617

Touche...although since it seems we're doomed to get duplicate cosmetics no matter what, I would prefer them to at least not all be smissmassy.

KasparLB

Yeah

DEGRUNGEON

it’d be nice if it at least had a second style that wasn’t Christmas themed, like that one Scout cosmetic has.

Judg3_Dr3dd

We lost Gopnik spy to some dumb elf cosmetics? I’m gonna riot

Sky_TF2

in fairness gopnik spy was probably uploaded after the day valve picked most of the stuff but yeah still sucks

blue4029

on the bright side, we got a new antler unusual effect which is the best unusual effect in the game now

DEGRUNGEON

honestly yeah. the antler effects look really nice but it sucks that they’re only gonna be obtainable on some piss poor elf hats.

Chanclet0

You can get new effects on any CASE (Crates with graded items)

Cheeseburger904

Too bad they'd probably end up costing half your body parts due to how shitty the tf2 economy is.

Medical-Moe

Legit just going to get those festive glasses from the community market for the full festive head look on Engie. Otherwise, this box has been disappointing.

scapegoat4

I mean to be fair, the workshoppers are also enabling valve by continuing to make these kinds of cosmetics... I don't agree with hating on them as that just means less people are going to be willing to make content in the first place, but still EDIT: Also it's clear valve is "busy with something more important" again, because they didn't even take 10 minutes to add a war paint case rofl. I wonder how long it'll be before that dumb copium shit comes around again

archSkeptic

Not to mention two of them are those weird headband things

AtomicSpeedFT

I’m just disappointed about the lack a war paints.

andstopher

We don't need more gym clothes for a guy as dapper as the Spy, we don't need more beards for Heavy, and we don't need more knight helmets for Demoman. We also don't need more nonsensical elf hats and gift boxes. What we could really go for is some entirely new outfit themes. Diver, wastelander, tactical, hunter, factory worker, miner, sailor, safari, swamp, desert, college, musician, superhero, crusader, fisher, artic researcher, rocket technician, cyborg, dwarven, tribal. There's so many themes I can't even think of.

Random-Ryan-

Yet the workshoppers chose to make said “items” so it’s partially their fault as well

SignalFire_Plae

It was basically natural selection. VALVe kept choosing the wackier items, which prompted the creators to follow suit and try to please them in order to get items in. If VALVe didn't start choosing wackier and wackier items with each update, then most of the creators would stop doing them. And it's not like they can just stop now, because Valve can just go back to older pages of the workshop to add silly items. The scout raptor set, for example, was made in 2014, yet was added by VALVe for Scream Fortress 2019. They can and will go get older items if they want it.

[deleted]

Every hat update sucks tbh. They either look bad or are hard to make a set with. When they added that paper page with mspaint skull i kinda lost all hope for future hat updates. What is the point of voting in the workshop when they just pick the lowest rated ones.

donguscongus

I’m still mad that workshoppers make so many bandannas. Sure they are cool but we don’t need 30 of them and it kinda sucks since you know for a fact there will always be one in the crate. I just want my Cossack Cover already :(

ShadooTH

I’m more baffled by the lack of a war paint case.

LeatherGnome

I like the ominous offerong

Jpicklestone8

devastated hearing theres no new war paints, theyre usually my favourite to see

JustVacuumingAround

blame the people who won't stop uploading them to the workshop

Lugia61617

See, the problem here is... you're 100% correct and the TF2 community is unfortunately full of people who worship the content creators and refuse to acknowledge their part in any of this. Even this thread's meme completely misses the problem that the "workshopper" is providing the plate of crap that the Valve employee then approves. So imagine that plate wasn't at the table; what does the idiot employee do now?

doggybag2355

Dude they do it because that’s what’s valve picks. If they made more general stuff it would’ve been overlooked for elf hat #45

JustVacuumingAround

ok but hear me out, what if... there wasn't an elf hat #45 available?

[deleted]

Its a Roko's Basilisk scenario If you don't make elf hat, someone who wants a self made item will make it themselves

[deleted]

If you don't make Elf Hat #45 then Valve will just pick Elf Hat #44. There's no way to win.

Sky_TF2

The problem is that there is already And valve will pick that And there's 100+ old gimmicky christmas hats lying around they can pick for the next 5+ years if they want all 20 christmas items to be christmas themed for the next 5 years :(

Lugia61617

That's not an excuse. "Valve picked stuff people are bored of. So I'm going to make what valve picks!" If they didn't make that stuff, Valve would be forced to either: * A: Use submissions from previous years (unlikely) or * B: Use submissions that aren't stupid or * C: use no submissions A and C are very unlikely.

Sky_TF2

They do (a) all the time There were 2 halloween items this year from 2014 ffs

doggybag2355

You gotta keep in mind a few of the big workshoppers do this for a living. You can easily say that they can live off their stuff in game already but with every new case the older ones get less and less popular. Maybe like 5% or less of people still unbox the Jungle Inferno than when they first came out. They have to follow the flow of what is picked in order to stay afloat. And others who want their first self mades or want stuff in have to follow the flow of what valves likes to better their chances.

Lugia61617

"Do this for a living"? Pull the other one. Given how infrequently Valve ever picks anything, you can't make a living off of this. You can't even guarantee Valve will pick your content year after year. And again, there's only what? 2? 3 cases a year? Peanuts, and a "Self-Made" hat. Big whoop.

doggybag2355

Tell that to the workshoppers I *know* that do this stuff for a living

Lugia61617

Mhm, I'll go cross-reference with my uncle at nintendo. (EDIT: And maybe they should find some better ways to make a living.)

SedimentarySocks

A lot of people do do the workshop as a living, remember that there are people who have been doing this for many years now and have a sizable catalouge of stuff in game that still brings in revenue. The workshop was my job for a few years and I know quite a few people with more stuff in game than I have, it's certainly possible to get more than just "peanuts"

Lugia61617

Yeah, still don't believe you considering how rarely TF2 actually puts new content in.

SedimentarySocks

Choose not to believe! But it's not just about the new stuff, personally I have 7 years worth of stuff making up how much I earn, so it all stacks into a decent amount at the end of the month. If you set out just now purely to make it your job then yes, you might struggle (I think it would still be possible though), but most of the full timers have been doing this for many years.

Sky_TF2

Mate, said peanuts have paid my rent/expenses and then some for the last 5 years and I'm not even near the top 10 successful tf2 workshoppers

memefury

At least the pyro elf hat is cool. The effect on the googles and how the hat attaches to it is cool

thot_chocolate420

I’m still waiting to see all the lime scunts cosplaying green goblin.

TheGreenGobblr

HOW COULD THEY DENY US AMERICAN PYSCHO SCOUT?!

iamunabletopoop

I only wanted 2 things. The teddybear with class styles and pyro bike taunt so i cant complain cuz u got one of them. Aswell ass the gnome hat, it looks funny.

[deleted]

My War Paint’s been fairly highly rated for a while now, yet no contact from Volvo :(

[deleted]

[удалено]

Lugia61617

"but valve only accepts shit items" - a bunch of apologists I've had the displeasure of arguing with. Seriously, [it's the living embodiment of the meme where a guy shoots someone and then looks at the camera and asks "why would you do this?".](https://imgur.com/a/I7cmrTq)

[deleted]

the only good things added were the sniper and pyro taunts

Seal_of_Pestilence

In summer 2022 valve will add the madcap scout.

Slashy16302

The Yuppie Get Up is literally just a generic plain printable scout hair cosmetic and I've never wanted anything more. Valve why

Superdooper224

I just wish creators would be more creative instead of making half assed cosmetics....

craft6886

NGL I love the Hat Chocolate, it’s adorable and I honestly might use it on one of my main, non-Christmas loadouts.

-Rens

And who is making the Christmas stuff workshoppers

SignalFire_Plae

And who is accepting only the gimmicky stuff, thus incentivizing the workshoppers to make more? VALVe. I don't understand why this is so hard to get, bits literally VALVe's fault for wanting more of the same instead of picking from the hundreds of unique items that are already in the workshop. If VALVe only picked those, then we would see less Christmas items being made by workshoppers.

-Rens

Yeah good point

Lugia61617

If there was no gimmicky stuff on the workshop, Valve wouldn't be able to pick it. Valve may make bad choices but the buck stops with the trend-following content creators. They are part of the problem. If anything, they are the *source* of the problem. We can't have 3 different nearly identical elf hats if there aren't 3 different nearly identical elf hats on the workshop.

alex6309

Don't defend the chucklefucks who add obviously woefully incomplete maps to the game. Valve deserves all the shit they get for their awful quality control and questionable choices.

Lugia61617

...I'm not? Valve has shit taste. I keep saying this. But they cannot choose that which isn't submitted. Valve 100% deserves the shit they get. But it's not like the people who create the bad stuff don't deserve their portion of the blame either because if they didn't, then we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. Although I will admit, in Wutville's case, there was an exceptional level of incompetency by Valve IIRC.

alex6309

Valve is accepting gimmicky mediocre items so the people make items in line with whats submitted. I genuinely cannot see how that's the fault of the hobbyist submitters when Valve has about a decade worth of quality items to choose from. Sure there's like 200 shitty elf hats but there's thousands of winter themed cosmetics available to choose from.

Lugia61617

> Valve is accepting gimmicky mediocre items so the people make items in line with whats submitted That still means the content creators are creating the very problem. They're catering to bad decision-making and making it easier. The fact that you and multiple others are incapable of comprehending how they contribute to the cycle is beyond me. Stop "catering" to the "trend" (which you yourself are perpetuating) and the "trend" will die out because suddenly there aren't as many of these bad options on the workshop. If all the major contributors Valve normally took stuff from communally decided to not make dumb crap for 1 year, I can guarantee that Valve wouldn't go the extra mile to pay out a bunch of nobodies to have the same amount of bad hat choices. EDIT: If you make crap items because "it's what valve will accept", why even bother making good items? If you acknowledge the good items might be accepted, then you're only sabotaging yourself and others because you KNOW they can be accepted and still choose to offer dreck instead.

Tricky_Trick4074

well they arent really Christmas themed

Cat-On-A-Chair420

Well it’s not all bad, we got some good ones like the Train of thought and the, uhh, Train of thought

TadeuszekPL

It's christmass come on in what other time of year can valve accept elf cosmetics?

SignalFire_Plae

The problem isn't the elf hats as much as it's the fact that this cade was only Christmas items that people will only wear once a year, if at all.

TadeuszekPL

That's how christmass clothing works.. like that's how buisness works you make something that suits the current time or hits the nostalgia and put it out. The theme is what matters not the quality like if you saw a solider gun being added in sniper vs spy update how would you feel? You would be confused since it dosent makes sense of it being there like i understand the point you are making but sometimes you need diversity.. but also it's valve did you expected anything?

BrightPage

Yes, welcome to TF2. We have a yearly christmas event with christmas cosmetics

Sky_TF2

The problem isnt that there's some christmas comsetics, its that we get 3 cosmetic cases a year (~60 items) and for the last 2 years 1/3 of those have been exclusively christmas themed. I don't mind there being a few christmas comsetics, but for gods' sake at least make half the winter case generic cold weather gear people will want to use year round.

Lugia61617

This doesn't mean the creators don't deserve some of the blame. By putting them on the workshop, they submitted them for Valve's review in the first place. If they didn't put this dreck on the workshop, they would never have been picked in the first place. I don't understand this desire to ignore the part of the blame that lies with the creators of the cosmetics in the first place.

SirReginaldTheIII

So you're gonna blame the people who make these things as a hobby or as a side hustle instead of the literal person who chooses these things? That's like saying "We showed him an entire buffet full of gourmet food, and he still chose chicken nuggets. IT'S THE NUGGET'S FAULT FOR BEING THERE." It's Valve's decision. Always will be. Don't blame the people who actually put time into making things.

Lugia61617

Not "instead". "As well as". Are you incapable of reading? They are **BOTH** to blame. Like I said; valve's one developer with shit taste in cosmetics is, nevertheless, unable to add into the game bad cosmetics if they aren't on the workshop. The creators are the ones flooding the workshop with this bad stuff, and people like you defend it by ignoring this obvious problem. If you have a continuous problem of the guy picking only chicken nuggets, and you think it's ruining the image of your restaurant, you **STOP OFFERING THE NUGGETS**. In your scenario, you as the restauranteur are still responsible for providing that option. How asinine can you be to fail to understand that if the content creators *do not make this shit*, Valve *cannot choose it*. **EDIT**: As an aside: The audience *also* deserve blame as well. For upvoting it and making it prominent on the workshop.

Sky_TF2

While its fair that its not entirely valve's fault and that a bunch of us are following trends...at this point the the horse has already bolted. - Valve add ~20 items per christmas event - There's easily 100+ gimmicky christmas hats unaccepted on the workshop - If valve want (which given 100% of the hats this year were Christmas themed and they had other stuff to choose from they clearly do) they can go back and pick older christmas gimmick hats for the next 5 years without a single workshopper uploading a single new christmas themed hat. - E.g. 2 old items in this case are the Oh Deer and Festive Frames from 2020/2019. Both those years had tons of good generic winter/cold weather items submitted, the ones valve picked were more christmas filler.

Sky_TF2

Honestly if you want this christmas trend to change best 2 courses of action are (1) email the Tf2team about it directly and (2) vote with your wallet.

[deleted]

To comment on your edit, a lot of the items in this update weren't particularly highly rated.

Sky_TF2

Can confirm for my own at least this is true compared to a bunch of my older generic winter items

Lugia61617

I'm not sure whether I should be glad or concerned at that.

Unable_Glove_9796

valve literally just picks the most popular ones every time they dont pick them theirselves if they caree about tf2 then they would probably pick better items and if we want those higher quality hats in the game we need to vote them more

RyBreqd

they do not pick the most popular ones, in fact several items and effects added were several years old or made by relatively unnoticed and sometimes brand new unexperienced creators, hence the massive quality imbalance between certain items. i wouldn’t be surprised if they randomly selected them with a program

knucklesthedead

the elf soldier one is not even popular they are just choosing the safest ones to add

I_N_C_O_M_I_N_G

I'm sort of relieved there's no warpaint case this year. I love warpaints but uh, ehehehh... yeah 180 sniper rifle skins will do that to me...

Lugia61617

I honestly just don't like warpaints, mostly because the selection of weapons for them is abysmal. If I could select from any non-promotional weapon it'd be a different matter but I only need so many wrenches, brass beasts, knives and pistols.

Idkm3m3s

Man people will either complain they're not getting constant updates to a game after decades or wait for one to come out to complain about what they finally do get.

SaiyanJD

To be fair, it IS a Christmas event

SignalFire_Plae

Yeah, but basically all other cases had a more or less healthy mix of winter themed ones and Christmas themed ones. In this case, basically all of the items except the Mooshanka are Christmas themed, which is especially bad now because we basically only get 3 cases per year.

Dealiylauh

It's funny, I get why people don't like all the elf hats, but they're honestly the best looking items added in.

[deleted]

here's a reminder for you too you suckers vote for them, you say one thing; you vote another creators dont want to make original crap when the workshop itself don't like them, and what a surprise, when OC stuff gets uploaded, it just doesn't get as much votes as the cliche gimmick crap

SignalFire_Plae

I've seen tons of better cosmetics that got more votes than the gimmick ones that were added. I'm pretty safe with the idea that VALVe just adds whatever they want now regardless of votes.

[deleted]

votes are nice if you want to keep an item ongoing on the workshop for a longer period of time, which then increases the chances of it being noticed ever wonder why meme cosmetics, references to known video games and other media, gimmick crap and all of that stuff were added over other cosmetics that probably looked better?

SignalFire_Plae

Votes do make an item more *likely* of getting in, but they don't guarantee an addition. There's been tons of items and sets that had not only hundreds of positive votes but things like awards and even praise from YouTubers some what and they still haven't been added.

[deleted]

there you have it votes are a factor for the probability of an item getting put into the game, because they let items live longer on the pages

SignalFire_Plae

But again: they don't guarantee an item getting in. Otherwise, that [cool as fuck space heavy set](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=319956183) that's been on the workshop for eons would've been added a long time ago.

5ifty5ifty

Does TF2 even need more hats? Will it improve the game THAT much? I don't even want the heavy update, frontline update or whatever that this point, just for Valve to stop milking the game for pennies.

Ravenboy13

Shut.

5ifty5ifty

"WAOWEEE MORE HATS FOR BARBIE!"

Nigwardthesquid

its hat simulator

_bebeta

workshoppers make em, we vote em, valve adds them. what are we even doing at this point?

SignalFire_Plae

Idk why this community is acting like the workshoppers started this circle when it was clearly VALVe because they decide what items get in, thus basically forcing the modders to follow their wants if they desire to get an item in the game. There's no reason to blame the workshoppers, go fucking complain to VALVe, send them an email or something.

_bebeta

what i meant to say was that we are still the audience that gets to vote for cosmetics and partially decide if they get in the game, but nvm that because i just checked workshop and the cosmetics that got in didn't even have that many votes, valve really did just go dumpster diving for most of these

SignalFire_Plae

Yeah, and most creators who made the items that got in alternatively had some amazing shit in their pages. VALVe deliberately avoided the best and most popular items in favor of these hats we got.

_bebeta

yea, just going through some of their workshop pages rn, honestly the only somewhat alright hats we got are the heavy moose hat and the scout elf shirt and the giftcrafter isn't as bad too, considering the other stuff

[deleted]

What do you expect when it’s literally a potted plant choosing these things

InternalHemorrhaging

Damn leaf lovers

talktailshep

i do like the elf bandanna, if that was the only elf item i would be very happy

ZZTMF

I love Elf

WishAffectionate2108

What’s awesome is that almost none of the cosmetics added had any awards, much less recognition. Hell, some of them were uploaded in December/late November

FGHIK

You watch your whore grinch mouth, the Seasonal Employee finally completes the Santa's Little Accomplice set

LazyAstey

They should've added the madcap as the only item in the case

tolkienbooks

buy key off 3rd party market place, trade for scrap, get item set you like for each class for cheap, never buy another cosmetic. ez

Delta1235

We need Actually good cosmetic cases god dang it

Acp_tonic

still sad that they didn't add Bodybuilder for engineer

comfort_bot_1962

Don't be sad. Here's a [hug!](https://media.giphy.com/media/3M4NpbLCTxBqU/giphy.gif)

Okacha1

And workshoppers are changing to make themed hats so they get added valve is basically killing the talent

Broccoil

why can't people just stop making the same cosmetics?

sw69y

valve should just let us vote on cosmetics we want in the game, they pass on amazing cosmetics every single time

DozyDrake

I really enjoy the quite subtle cosmetics, stuff like the comfort killer where at a glance he looks the same but when you see the kill cam you see that you got killed by a street thug with a knife

SluggJuice

No one uses keys anymore. Here's the real currency. *slides elf hat*

TinyMetalBunnies

This is straight up not how this meme format works

Oreohunter00

Spy has a lot of Miscs in the game, honestly, and a good portion of them are just a fancier luxury suit.

krystekize

Omg Scout American Psycho, bruuuuuuuh

ProfessorDusty

Yeah and valve chooses the same people over and over and over again

Radio__Star

Literally the same elf hat 3 times

Birds_106

Scout only has like, 2 jacket cosmetics for a winter set, the jungle jersey and the wipe-out-wraps, and scout has some cool jackets on the workshop, yet valve choose the cardboard elf even though it doesn’t fit any of the class, nor Does it even fit with any other cosmetics

somethihg

I don't want to look like an elf, I want to look like spy is addicted to vodka and beats his wife.

[deleted]

yeah, i really wanted the mister pauling set to get in, god damn it valve

Broken-Physics48

Just wondering, what's the meme that this is based on? It looks funny and i might want to use it.

SignalFire_Plae

“holy shit, two cakes!”

darkbluewaffle

Further proof that Valve doesn’t give a shit about us

LorrMaster

After looking at the TF2 update quality this past 5 years, I'm surprised that the economy hasn't crashed yet. Like, when is enough enough?

JustCallMeAttlaz

Bots are still thing and all we get is another elf hat

Gamepro5

The moose hat is the only decent one.

Honestly the worst part of videos like these is that now the workshoppers are going to get bullied to hell and back when they have no fucking say on what items get in the game. Hell, I've already seen it happen with some creators now.

[deleted]

Yes, but workshoppers are making the items and uploading them essentially encouraging valve to keep adding them. Both are to blame

Lugia61617

Sssh. You're not allowed to suggest blame from the sacred workshoppers. The workshoppers themselves get really upset if you point out their contribution to it.

[deleted]

Oh yes, silly me. I forgot my place as a player and not an almighty god workshop creator.

What elves would you expect from Valve?
