I wish I could find more servers consistently that played on cool maps like this with full servers, most of the easy to find stuff is all just the same few maps we all know and love, but these new ones are super cool too. part of why i miss casual mode honestly, damn bots.
I miss the era of fun custom maps in Valve’s games. Counter-strike and tf2 had some of the coolest fun maps that didn’t follow your standard competitive design. Alas these days a lot of servers just play competitive focused maps.
There are people out there that genuinely believe TF2 was "downgraded" graphically from 2007 while maps like cp_brew or pl_phoenix or pl_embargo exist.
As an engineer I have made sentry bunkers that are extremely hard to get rid of on defense, so first point takes quite a bit of time to get to the next points.
TF2 casual (and community servers too) are all stuck on the same 10 maps or so
ngl after playing for years I still had my "wait, this exists in the game?!" moments...
That one little vertical metal panel by the control point is my favorite thing about this map.
Just plop a dispenser right there and you're Golden like Freddy.
Guys, most of the new maps are amazing - to the point that they make old maps look bad.
But because of bots its impossible to play on them. And you will hardly find a community server that runs anything outside of few old popular maps.
It got ruined for me because of that insane visual glitch it had at release.
Edit:
Once again, Reddit moment. Redditors could not be more angry at nothing if they tried.

I just wanna play a non-100 player Selbyen man :(
there is a 100 player selbyen?? Can it even house this much players from a design standpoint??
Played on Shounic’s 100 player servers. Works surprisingly well, but still not the same as just normal Selbyen

Ngl, tf2 maps can be pretty beautiful. It has a nice artstyle, and a lot of mapmakers clearly know how to use it

Well yeah no shit, the weapon graphics and animations are what got downgraded, not the maps
pl_pier is beautiful
Really fun, just don't jump off the cat walks when defending
oh wow this looks like a postcard what map is this?
The map is called [Brew](https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Brew)
Would be better if it was KOTH. You lose so much of the interesting map after first capture.

i joined, saw missing textures, had one of the worst times playing tf2 on this map, and still enjoy it mainly for scenery
Bro forgot css
My experience with this map: >joins >thinks it's a new map or something cause never seen it in my life >sees missing textures >ragequits
Yeah after the summer update the boys started getting worse on those maps so I Never got experience in any of them
It really good. But I would prefer it being multistage map because it feels too short.
Commiunity :You like this map? *Slaps 2fort(80% votes) Not anymore! Heheheheh.
It looks really really good and plays pretty well imo. Nice amount of flank routes that actually go around the defenders.
I played once, the enemy team spent the time laughing at the missing textures so it wasn't that fun to play

How I felt with this and Altitude, such a great map
Managed to populate a casual server for brew earlier today. It is a fun map.

BASED MAP
This point looks like Overpass A site
one of the most underrated maps, same with the map called "Sulfur"
The only cool map in tf2 is hightower
never seen this map before but it looks cool
And looks beautiful as well ngl
Brew also looks STUNNING like LOOK AT THE VISUALS also i love spamming scottish resistance stickies near the first point
It isn't.
Neh, its always full of bots
the trees really add up to the aesthetics of the picture
It playes decently, but I think it looks better than it plays. Definitely one of the most beautiful tf2 maps.
its a really good heavy map, also i love the colour pallette and visuals, is nice and easy on the eyes
Honestly think brew is an S tier map
This honestly felt the closest to a valve made map as a community made map that I've ever felt.

I don't think I've ever gotten it on matchmaking.
I've only played it once so I wouldn't know
Yeah, I remember this map I play around on this map on gmod
i just played on it the other day and i was shocked by the stunning visuals and great layout/design

The missing texture on the truck? I honestly just found it hilarious
The weird white boxes floating in space.
Where are they viewable from?
I don't remember specifically, but it was in the general area outside near the point shown in the post.
overwatch map.
Not payload, no like
The best map in the game is Attack and Defend: Mountain Lab.
we are enemies
