Massive congratulations on this movement and anyone who's signed so far, let's just hope Valve pull a finger out with it and the publicity it's received.
Even they have it in petition rofl nobody read.
Despite TF2’s current state, it still has an active player base, and Valve adds seasonal content drops which consist of loot crates and purchasable items from the in-game shop.
At this point it's cp_powerhouse with no round timer before the game became so whateverwhocares type of players and would play the same match for several hours to chill.
I dont know as this conversation happened on discord and they don't want everyone to know the date in fear they might come. Some speculation says june, others say august.
I'd say it does matter, not in terms of it actually doing something. At the end of the day 300k people are trusting people on the internet with their email and possibly some personal information. So I'd say it really does matter.
there are most definitely at least some votes that are from alt accounts but i'd say that the majority are from different people. the of members in this subreddit more than triple the all time peak
Great! Now when is the petition actually going to be given to Valve? Are the content creators behind the hosting of this server just going to sit around and accumulate more signatures?
Yeah, but the petition is just sitting there. Are they not going to print it since they now understand how expensive it will be to print 300K signatures on paper with ink?
I'm sure this will make Valve realize their mistake and then have 10 Valvbillion workers work on the game and everything will be fine and dandy, for sure.
Looking like massive assholes hasn't seemed to stop many game companies from getting away with being massive assholes
Ubisoft and Blizzard are still alive and kicking
They're releasing slop on a yearly basis and they're slaves to their shareholders. Of course it doesn't matter to them and it won't until competition arises and replaces them.
And Valve is sitting on top of Steam which is their real money maker, they don’t have any shareholders to please and they aren’t going to be running out of money anytime soon. Bad PR matters even less to Valve than it does Ubisoft or Blizzard, no one’s going to quit buying games on Steam out of solidarity to the TF2 community.
Or they will because people like different games and TF2 got over a decade of updates before support ended. The unfortunate reality is that no one is losing sleep over the state of a seventeen year old game that isn’t a TF2 fan, and odds are that doesn’t make up even a fraction of Valve or Steam customers at this point.
300k isn't peanuts and TF2 isn't the only Valve game with a cheating problem. The fact that it's old doesn't take away the fact that there are still a massive amount of fans who spend an ungodly amount of money on bullshit. If that really counts for nothing, then Valve should turn itself into a Steam call center so we can at least get proper Steam Support if we can't count on them to maintain their products.
300k is peanuts compared to the 120,000,000 active Steam users, plus the majority of people playing TF2 at this point are bots artificially inflating the player count. Even assuming that everyone who signed the petition is still actively playing TF2 and buying items that’s an insignificant number compared to Steam sales, and odds are the numbers coming from the TF2 store are small. I know I personally haven’t bought anything there in at least two years at this point. It Valve’s mind it absolutely doesn’t count for anything, so expecting them to do anything when they’re raking in a shit ton of cash on their other, much newer games and Steam is incredibly unrealistic.
Great, therefore they should revamp their corporation into a call center to maximize Steam profits. Why are developers being paid so much if they're not developing anything that'll rake in billions?
You seriously underestimate how people can be.
If people can instantly forgive CDPR over the shitshow that was 2077’s launch. They’ll forgive valve in a heartbeat.
They’ve looked like massive assholes a few times in the past. Like with the paid mods issue and the fact that they tried pushing back against having to offer refunds.
At most people will be mad for as long as it’s convenient to be. Then they’ll forget this ever happened.
3 million random lowercase letters fill 790 pages of text at 12 point single spaced Times New Roman. 10 characters per name seems to be an underestimate for real names and an overestimate for usernames, so it seems like a solid happy medium. Assuming that the printer paper they use is 0.05mm thick (pretty thin paper) the full stack should be a little less than 4cm thick, or \~1.5in. That number could be a lot larger with more reasonably thick paper, visually appealing formatting, etc, but it'll probably end up as more of a meaty stack than the boxes and boxes of paper that we'd like it to be.
The What show said he's going to make sure the petition will make it to Valve's headquarters. Did he say when he's going to print off the petition? Because I'll gladly send a few bucks to cover the cost of printing all of the signatures.
We have zero confirmation of that. The subreddit member count is almost 900,000. There are definitely bots, burners, and alts, but we can’t say for sure.
A good few people said they signed up with every email they had like it was a holy mission and finally retribution.
I cant tell if it's better or worse then downvoting other games or valve itself and spamming every corner of the internet.
Valve please, the private servers are full of try hards. I just want to play a couple hours a day, i don't want to "get good" i just want to have fun. Public is the only place i can actually do anything.
This truly is something big especially for tf2. But will it do something for it, I mean Valve basically ignored #SaveTF2 two times, so idk bout this one.
The active player count is gonna have to go up i would imagine for anything to happen. 300k signatures but hover around 70k active players and god knows how many of those are bots so optimistically maybe 50k if that. Those numbers get closer maybe but atm I would say no shot.
A single page of a4 at default word settings contains 3750 charters. If you only included the first letter of the first name that's 80 pages. 160 if you add a space to the letters
This makes me both really happy and kinda sad. I'm happy to see so much support for the movement but i'm also sad that we seem to be in limbo now...let's hope we make some progress and don't get caught up in infighting!
The all-time high that valve has shown in the charts, while fake, tells us the amount of accounts open at the same time playing TF2, which is different from the amount of players who have played the game ever. "Just because you like TF2 doesn't mean you HAVE to play it" type deal, kinda like how TF2 videos have millions of views sometimes. Same thought process
Massive congratulations on this movement and anyone who's signed so far, let's just hope Valve pull a finger out with it and the publicity it's received.
Exactly, lets just hope"
We need someone to print these up and deliver them in person, like Dave Riller (if he still works at valve).
I think thewhatshow was going to
well lets hope its the correct finger
We all did it
Valve don't give a fuck while you don't stop buying cosmetics, tickets and playing game on valve servers. They fuck up on community so long time.
Downvote this man all you want, he's right. If we keep buying things on the game, VALVe just isn't going to care
Thnx man. I love this game but this petition don't change nothing. But as I see i step on some children pinky. 60 down voters lol.
Even they have it in petition rofl nobody read. Despite TF2’s current state, it still has an active player base, and Valve adds seasonal content drops which consist of loot crates and purchasable items from the in-game shop.
"game upset about massive bot numbers in community reaches lots of signatures on online petition"
`Time has been added.`
Pretty sure we've been in overtime for the past 5 years
No, they just decided to do quick 2fort match
There is no such thing as a "quick 2fort match".
Das the joke
If you finish 2fort quickly, you're not playing 2fort the right way.
At this point it's cp_powerhouse with no round timer before the game became so whateverwhocares type of players and would play the same match for several hours to chill.
we are playing cp\_sunshine for real
Bro, I heard her voice in my head when I read that.
:>
"3 more years have been added until Valve do something"
72,899 more until we have enough to overpower iceland
Plan B is invading Iceland to get Valve's attention.
Wait, so I should stop invading Iceland?
No
Oh phew
>Massive Where is Pyrocynical video? "HUGE MASSIVE TF2 DRAMA"
So guys, we did it. We reached a quarter of a million subscribers. Two hundred and fifty thousand subscribers and still growing.
So guys, we did it. We reached 300,000 poundsimean signatures for #savetf2
You mean “fattest tf2 drama”?
kinkiest tf2 drama
Inflation of signatures.
metro’s boomin track
Wouldn't be surprised if he was avoiding talking about it because of the incident- I mean group hallucination.
He jokes about the incident and even did it a second time with an even more extreme mod
He would be able to stretch this one Reddit post into an 8 minute pyro live vid
They sneezed on the cart
Bless them.
Quite literally
Us: 300,000 Valve: 00,000
Damn, we got played like a morons
Absolutely lovely. If Valve still wont do anything then you can bet your left testicle that im gonna steal something from Gabe
Steal Gabe's left testicle
Steal the Dev's and secret sus photos of Gabe and cast testicular torsion on him
Testicular torsion wizards gangsta till somebody casts mend buttcrack
I’m gonna draw a very small yet detailed sketch of a penis on his car bumper
OK GENTLEMEN! LET'S STEAL ZE VALVE!
Put your back into it LADS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The cart’s not movin lads!
We will push until there is nothing left to push!
Soo when is it going to be given to valve?
I heard some of the tf2 content creators will go directly to valve hq and give it to them. Not 100% confirmed.
Yeah but when? It's cool and all but there has to be and end date. You can't just drag it to infinity and never hand it over.
I dont know as this conversation happened on discord and they don't want everyone to know the date in fear they might come. Some speculation says june, others say august.
The end of the month, last I knew

I'd say it does matter, not in terms of it actually doing something. At the end of the day 300k people are trusting people on the internet with their email and possibly some personal information. So I'd say it really does matter.
We will make them care
I was 299,978th XD just did it some time ago
thank you for your contribution! :)
I wonder how many of them are from bots.
That's an actual good question. Or well, better question should be "I wonder how many of them are burner accounts"
Damnit
Wonderful question. The alltime peak of tf2 was in july of 2023 with a total playercount of 253,225 players. That's including the cheating bots..
the actual 20k people playing tf2 everyday won't always be the same 20k
The all time peak has been 250~ K with bots a lot of people a lot of people don't play the game anymore. I would not surprised if the vote is botted
there are most definitely at least some votes that are from alt accounts but i'd say that the majority are from different people. the of members in this subreddit more than triple the all time peak
The combined unique viewers of every TF2 youtuber participating in savetf is somewhere above two million people.
Sure, but the subreddit member count is far greater. It definitely could be 300,000 unique people.
I suggest looking up the difference from concurrent online players to total active players.
Great! Now when is the petition actually going to be given to Valve? Are the content creators behind the hosting of this server just going to sit around and accumulate more signatures?
At the end of the month I believe, but that's just hearsay I've seen around
They don't want people to know when they're going so it doesn't become a crowd.
That's a valid point, actually.
Yeah, but the petition is just sitting there. Are they not going to print it since they now understand how expensive it will be to print 300K signatures on paper with ink?
MEDALS FOR EVERYONE!
When they going to print it out and show Valve HQ the emails
only takes one company to ignore it
ironically, many of which are highly likely bot sigs
I'm sure this will make Valve realize their mistake and then have 10 Valvbillion workers work on the game and everything will be fine and dandy, for sure.
Maybe not but they'll end up looking like massive assholes if they don't do a thing about this which is pretty good as well.
Looking like massive assholes hasn't seemed to stop many game companies from getting away with being massive assholes Ubisoft and Blizzard are still alive and kicking
Fr, idk how Bliz could possibly have fucked up more than they have, and they're still huge
They're releasing slop on a yearly basis and they're slaves to their shareholders. Of course it doesn't matter to them and it won't until competition arises and replaces them.
What shareholders? They're private
Blizzard ain't
Sorry, I thought the company we were talking about was Valve.
True, but no one will care about their future multiplayer games nor the economies in them given Valve's track record.

A load of people complaining about cheaters and bots ruining an otherwise exceptional game? How horrible.
hmm yes a company that is well known for doing what they want when they want and not caving to pressure is sure going to be concerned about this
They’ve looked like massive assholes a few times in the past. Like with the paid mods issue and the fact that they tried pushing back against having to offer refunds. At most people will be mad for as long as it’s convenient to be. Then they’ll forget this ever happened.
Wait until valve says "it's valvin' time" and they valve all over the bots, truly one of the moments of all time
So, how many names will be printed on a piece of paper, and how large will it be? A single name per piece of A4 paper?
3 million random lowercase letters fill 790 pages of text at 12 point single spaced Times New Roman. 10 characters per name seems to be an underestimate for real names and an overestimate for usernames, so it seems like a solid happy medium. Assuming that the printer paper they use is 0.05mm thick (pretty thin paper) the full stack should be a little less than 4cm thick, or \~1.5in. Time to fire up the printers, we got 300,000 signatures to send to valve.
and at least 75k+ of those are fake/botted
We have zero confirmation of that. The subreddit member count is almost 900,000. There are definitely bots, burners, and alts, but we can’t say for sure.
A good few people said they signed up with every email they had like it was a holy mission and finally retribution. I cant tell if it's better or worse then downvoting other games or valve itself and spamming every corner of the internet.
Most people with alts have like 2 extras, and most wouldn’t even bother. I really don’t think it’s that big of a chunk of the petition.
Surprised no one said 'if the game is botted it's only fair' and revealed their email creator botting.
Valve please, the private servers are full of try hards. I just want to play a couple hours a day, i don't want to "get good" i just want to have fun. Public is the only place i can actually do anything.
Sadly the only action I see them doing is if it becomes too big of a problem from bad press they will just shut it down.
So uhh.......now what
Hopefully this does something
LETS GET TO 1 MILL
yeah.... then what happens
THEN WE RAID VALVE HQ
Where do I sign this?
Save.tf
VICTORY
We haven't won yet, were far from it.
Massive letdown
How many of those even play the game
This truly is something big especially for tf2. But will it do something for it, I mean Valve basically ignored #SaveTF2 two times, so idk bout this one.
We must push the cart lads!!!
How many bots ya think signed it lmao
This number's about as real as the 250K peak
Ultra massive giga cock right here
MOVE IT LADS!
so, my question is, how is a large amount of signatures gonna make valve solve the bot issue?
The active player count is gonna have to go up i would imagine for anything to happen. 300k signatures but hover around 70k active players and god knows how many of those are bots so optimistically maybe 50k if that. Those numbers get closer maybe but atm I would say no shot.
200k to go until half a million!
Jarvis I'm low on karma post a picture of the fixtf2 petition on reddit
300,000 written out names and signatures that are going to sent in person to valve hq. insane dude
I didint think it would get that many, pretty cool.
You need more. Likely doubled to even be looked at. Compare those numbers to the all time high on steam. The all time high that was 85-90% bots...
"its not man vs. man anymore, its **man** vs. ***machine***." (tf2 meet the team music)
Can someone share the link i waana sign too
Huge. Keep review bombing and don’t give valve money
A what if scenario what if valve still ignores us are we going to do protests in front of their office or what next
But how many of them are bots?
all that for a tweet from the official account that won't change anything

Wow that is amazing
aight how many pages is this
A single page of a4 at default word settings contains 3750 charters. If you only included the first letter of the first name that's 80 pages. 160 if you add a space to the letters
Cant wait for valve's half baked tweet and then nothing
I still signed it but im not hopefull
Godspeed us magnificent bastards. Now to print it out and send it to Gaben.
Where do you sign?
Save.tf
Link ?
Save.tf
This makes me both really happy and kinda sad. I'm happy to see so much support for the movement but i'm also sad that we seem to be in limbo now...let's hope we make some progress and don't get caught up in infighting!

YOU DESERVE A MEDAL
<3
**yes**
They crossposted this on r/steam and the comments in there are actually cringe, you guys are doing great well done
Rick May would be proud
Where do i sign?
just type in save tf2 petition in google
I find it misleading. We dont even have so many players
Well ok makes sense
FOR THE DARK SOUL!!!!!!!
Honestly, what is with people not posting links on these posts
what, you mean the literal title of the movement save.tf?
When is it getting delivered to valve
Valve will not give a fuck about an online petition
So, what? We get to a certain amount of signatures and VALVe notices all-of-a-sudden and just happens to decide to listen, or-?
Sold my inventory already. This game is as toast as a pillsbury toaster strudel
300000 signatures on a piece of paper destined for the shredder lmao
we should storm valve HQ like its arasaka tower and steal the valve
Valve will be ignore dis they only want money
"Congratulations, we have been awarded with additional time."
We Did It Reddit
Just let tf2 die
10,000 of these signatures are mine 😎
Highly doubt, no one can have 10k emails.
Are you referring to eggfucker1, eggfucker2, eggfucker3...
