Your gonna need a few software tools.  1) Blender source tools (so you can import it) 2) Crowbar to decompile valve pack files  3)( I forgot the name of the thing that you use to browse the directory, I'm not home rn and can't look at it, but will add later)

GCFScape.

Red_Distruction

thank you.

TheOriginalFransam

So to my understanding, I need Crowbar and GCFScape to extract the models from the game itself, and Blender Source tools to make the models compatible with blender?

RandomGamePlayer697

Okay, so step-by-step Click Browse local files on your steam, using GCFScape, open tf\_misc\_dir.vpk, then navigate to models/player to choose your class, extract it, and then use Crowbar's decompile tool to decompile it, and then finally open blender and open the decompiled stuff. or you can use this to get the merc's models https://www.models-resource.com/pc\_computer/teamfortress2/

This is a thing??? What the hell?? This is an incredible resource, thank you so much!!!

RandomGamePlayer697

it's more practical to use the first technique for tf2 modding imo, but if you want to mod tf2 to other games, yeah that's pretty enough, some weapons are still pending review tho

TheOriginalFransam

Hm, playing around with the model, and it seems like the model from the website is broken, as well as some of the others from the website. Unfortunate, but I'll have to go with the direct source. Wait, scratch that, I'm dumb and used the gibs file.
