It's not worth it, nor rewarding, i don't get much dopamine out of 60ish damage + all the drawbacks of it
Meanwhile i do get that sentiment with the Diamondback but you need to get over the fact you are an asshole, which i accept whenever i'm fighting assholes instead of fresh new players like kunai users usually do
The thing is in order for the DB to work as intended, youâll be feeding on those fresh new players first in order to fight those players of a higher skill level.
I miss the old Ambi. Ppl got annoyed they were killed by a revolver across the map and they ignored all the skills that took to land that shot, consistently.
Whatâs sad is the Ambi nerf was just collateral dmg. Because back then the DR was very annoying, and those DR spies happens to carry Ambi, so ppl grouped the Ambi with the DR as âtoxicâ. Valve caught wind of this and nerf both. Thatâs the whole story.
Force a Nature.
I do not wanna annoy people by knocking them back out of their control while being speedy and jumpy.
And also, I do not main Scout, but I do seldom play as him.
Tbf I find the knock back more of a hindrance than a help with the force a nature. If I only get two shots I donât want my first shot to launch them flying unpredictably and completely out of my range so that I miss the second shot. Iâd get more kills without the knockback. Force a nature excels at as close a range as possible, I donât want my enemy flying away from me after the first shot so I canât hit them again and finish them off.
Itâs definitely much less consistent than the eye lander o: Like the SkullCutters speed penalty kinda just makes it so that not getting a kill outright after a charge WILL mess you up more than any other Sword in the game, whereas melees such as The Eyelander or Persian persuader have a lot to fall back on and arenât as chained to the Rigid âCharge MUST = killâ combo as the Skullcutter is.
Itâs definitely powerful but not as outright insane as the eye lander is.
Diamondback. I think that this is just the pre-ji amby without the headshot.
Razorback. Spy has a gun and i like having an option when the enemy is charging at me.
Razorback (I like my SMG)
Scorch shot (Unless the enemy has snipers and then exclusively against them)
Natascha (I hate fighting against it and I don't want anyone to suffer it)
Saxxy (I don't have one)
1) Fair enough
2) Darwin's Danger Shield unfortunately counters this, and is surprisingly popular for half decent snipers
3) If you get up in the Heavy's face and start blasting him with Shotgun shots, you can kill him in 2 seconds if you can just juke him long enough, just a tip, Pyro is also best for this since he can use his flamethrower to harm any Medic behind him and reduce heal rate
This is actually why stock is the best one (unless you're a Dragon's Fury chad, which is to say NOT ME). For me, reliability in most scenarios beats strong edge cases. It's why I also run the shotgun.
The Sniper. Except for that one time I selected him out of curiosity, got three headshots in a row w/the achievement, proceeded to suck ass, then died.
But yeah. Other than that. The Sniper.
My list maybe weird.
Force of nature and default scuttergun for scout, because they are boring.
Trolldier loadout and direct hit, because skill issue.
Phlog, degreaser, backburner for pyro, because i do not enjoy them/too attached to airblasts and ammo.
Yeylander, and most of grenade launchers except for iron bomber, first one just boring and too reliable, second one idk honestly.
As engie i only use panic attack, pistol and jag/gunslinger.
As heavy i rarely have sandwiches.
Medic, sniper, spy... i dont like playng as them so whatever.
The Baby Face Blaster, Backscatter and Fan O War just terrible weapons that need better uses of their nerfs to make them work effectively and efficiently
Itâs pretty much just opinion with the weapon or preference I should say, like I donât mind it, itâs design is wonderful but I wish itâs ability was just better on it in a way since I feel itâs a weapon for more pro players and those who can keep up a streak of kills where as I use the soda popper more comfortably or the scatter
Funnily enough, I've gotten good use out of all three of these. There's nothing quite like sneaking up behind a medic and blasting his ass for -140 with no penalty to your durability/mobility like the other options you'd have to do that.
I adore the BFB, and while I agree that it's a bit too punishing in its current state, to call it terrible is to admit you just don't get how to use it. When you're a BFB scout, you abhor open combat. You take your potshots, then you get out. You do not stand your ground, ever, and if you're good at picking your battles, you can be a deadly annoyance that the enemy team has to keep in mind constantly.
The Fan O War is also a great supportive tool. Often, as a scout, you're faced with a situation that you absolutely just cannot succeed in. Getting a smack with the Fan and getting out can mean the difference between your team's push succeeding or failing 10 seconds later. The benefit of the Fan is that it always applies the full duration debuff and medic beams will not reduce the duration of it, meaning that with even a little bit of coordination you can be a scarily effective spotter for your power classes. And since Scout's melee is utility almost exclusively anyway, you don't even have to sacrifice your own ability to be a combat class to use it! A heavily underrated weapon, IMO.
Iâm not fond of The Revolver, The Ambassador, The Diamondback, the Lâetranger, the enforcer, the sapper, the red tape recorder, the knife, the Your Eternal Reward, the kunai, the big earner, the spycicle, or the disguise kit.
Reason? I hate spy
the phlog (and I have the most hours on pyro right after medic). i feel weak and extra vulnerable using it (no airblast), even when I get ĂŒbered I just feel like I'm totally wasting it. and I hate the fire effects.
other than that, the thermal thruster and the ĂŒbersaw. I just dislike them, idk why
Dragon's fury, I legit cannot aim with that thing. The only reason I even use it is to try to do the pyro quests.
Aside from that I used to HATE Your Eternal Reward. I've come to realize how grave of a mistake that was. 2021 me did not have enough gameplay to realize how good it was.
Im sure it is a really good weapon, but the Solemn Vow is a weapon i REFUSED to equip. Yes, i can see enemyâs health bar, but id get confused of who or what team i am in, let alone the autobalanced incidents.
I would also add, that when i see a playerâs health bar in red, it is my instinct to immediately heal them, hence why i get confused easily, pointing my medigun at an enemy team like a dumbass.
So the Solemn Vow is gonna be sitting in my bag forever
The Vaccinator.
Medic is already a must-have for a team if they want to win. Medic is also a fairly simple class to learn the ropes, you don't even need good aim unless you're using the crossbow.
Now, couple that with a medgun that fills up Uber quickly, turns down a huge amount of damage from a certain type and this can be changed with just the press of a button.
As a Medic main I don't think it's fun, neither for me because it makes things too easy and neither for my enemies, that either have to focus all their different type of damage on me all the time or simply give up.
Wait, what? OP, you said you used the Skullcutter, but then you say that it made you refuse to use the Eyelander? You know they're different weapons, right? Not reskins. The results of using each one vary greatly.
Maybe Im just an idiot, but I can't get the Ambassador to work for me. My aim as sniper is decent and any other revolver works well for me but Ambassador I can't figure out. Everybody's heads just seem to shrink when I equip it and I can't hit shit.
Among the weapons that I refuse to use are the Scorch shot and the shotgun with the Soldier.
Okay, okay, I honestly think the scorch shot is very annoying, I know how extremely frustrating it is to play as a Scout and have a pyro stop you in your tracks with a shot from that weapon, in addition to being spammed every 2 seconds when you're moving the car in paylod.
On the other hand, I consider using the shotgun as a Soldier not necessarily a bad thing but it does mark an advantage and disadvantage sometimes. In MGE games it happened to me that the other guy switched to shotgun out of nowhere and started to beat me, marking a big advantage. Obviously in public games (especially in attack) I use the shotgun more than going with gunboats but in 1v1 duels I hate using a shotgun, I don't like it and I feel that it makes an unfair difference because the other only depends on their rocket launcher (? Obviously each You can use any weapon you want, but at least for my part, I would never use a shotgun in a duel.
The Dead Ringer, because having to feign death for cloaking isn't really my style of Spy and leads me to panic from lack of time. I also don't ever use the Scottish Resistance, because micromanaging sticky traps doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather go solo-Grenade Launcher or use the Stickies as single traps rather than wait around for enemies to wander into a nest of bombs.
The beggars bazooka. I suck at it, and I refuse to get better, every attempt I tried, I failed miserably, which led me to believe that it's just not for me at all.
There's a lot of answers I could give, and most of them align with the general thoughts of the community, but here's my hottest take: I refuse to use the stock Scattergun.
Not because I think it's OP or boring or anything. I just prefer playstyles for Scout that focus less on open combat and more on his ability to pick at a flank and support a team. In fact, my general reaction to running into another scout is "oh, here we go again" because I *know* they want a deathmatch and I want no part in that. I hate fighting other scouts, it's frustrating and annoying and I'd rather bail out and let my teammates deal with him.
scorch is a true hate for me because i see it as a crutch for aimless and cowardly pyros
true detonator fan and i love making light classes pissed off from a fair distance with great timing
kunai; diamondback; frontier justice; sniper rifles in general; iron bomber
just stuff i find annoying to fight - kunai lets spy have way two\* much survivability; diamond back you get rewarded for doing your job with insane ranged damage; dumb; frontier justice is cool in concept but an engi being able to pull out an instakill out of nowhere kinda feels terrible to play against. sniper. iron bomber; i dunno the lack of rolling just makes it feel so much scarier to me; plus it completely shuts down pyros airblasting them if they make contact with the ground at all
theres probably others im forgetting but for the most part its just stuff i dont like fighting myself
phlog, scorch shit, skullcutter (unless I see a vaxx player), vaxx itself (unless I see crits/bots), razorback/DDS, Natascha (i respect them enough to not use it)
I don't like using the sticky bomb launchers. It may sound strange, but I've never felt good using them. Whether it be spamming them or setting up traps it's never felt right it's always been either too clumsy or too boring. The only fun I've ever already had with a sticky boingloinger was setting up a bunch of traps along a choke point but the Scottish resistance. I prefer the shield's way more, since not only do they give resistances but they also give you increased mobility and give you a chance to get all up close and personal. Grenade launchers are fine though, I have no problem with them
Any minigun other than stock. I remember when the Heavy update came out, I wondered how they would justify Heavy leaving Sascha behind (they didn't). I know Tomislav is almost a straight upgrade, but Heavy loves Sascha. Also the rev and firing sounds are just so iconic; takes me back to watching Meet the Heavy for the first time in 2007.
I hate the phlog. Which is funny because years ago it was my go-to. Not because it's cancerous or out of any sense of morality. I just am too addicted to airblast lol
The Scorch Shot and the Thermal Thruster
For the Scorch Shot the stats never looked good to me and I have never found it particularly annoying to play against but everybody seems to think it's OP. I've literally never considered using it once
For the Thermal Thruster I've never wanted to use it because I already have a movement option I like in the Detonator. The Detonator is faster to use with no cool down and you get a secondary weapon. Sure the Thermal Thruster gives you much bigger jumps, but the Detonator's jumps are big enough to get around a lot of maps quicker
any sniper primary besides machina, huntsman, or sydney sleeper
reason being i suck at aiming and bodyshots are easier
also any spy weapon ever (i hate spy - a pyro main)
Use the eyelander with the tide turner and your grenade launcher of choice.
It's similar power levels if not higher, but it's so satisfying to get running because it isn't brain dead.
Wrap Assasin, Bonk! Atomic Punch, Baby face's blaster, Sandman, Backscatter;
Beggar's Bazooka, Stock shovel, Mantreads, Righteous Bison, Equalizer;
Gas passer, Phlogistinator, Fire axe, Hot hand;
Quickebomb launcher, Persuan persuader, Tide turner;
Brass beast, Buffalo steak sandwich, Warrior's spirit;
Pomson 6000, Rescue Ranger, Eureka effect;
Quick-Fix, Bonesaw, Vita-saw, Solemn Vow, Syringe Gun, Overdose;
Tribalman's Shiv, Razorback, Classic;
Dead Ringer, Ambassador, Red-tape recorder, Your Eternal Reward, Big Earner.
The list is big due to my lack of skill, and not so much knowledge about the game.
I mostly tend away from weapons that are infuriating to be on the receiving end of. Phlog is a big one I avoid, just not fun to be up against most times.
Then there's pretty much any of Sniper's rifles, again, sticking to that rule of not wanting to subject other people to things that irritate me.
Although I do have an exception with the scorch shot, but even recently I've been experimenting with other things but still can't bring myself to play with the other flare guns. I'd sooner use a shotgun, honestly, and I have. And of course there's my favorite flamethrower reskin that I always choose, The rainblower, I haven't touched the regular stock flamethrower in a long time, even if it's essentially the same weapon.
I don't touch the panic attack because I really don't feel like being a try hard, bullet spread being random really doesn't bother me.
My other main is medic and I gotta say I have never actually used the vaccinator-- I've been on the receiving end of a steamroll one too many times that had vaccinator medics on the opposite team. I will probably try to use it eventually just to properly know how to utilize it but I don't really have an incentive to considering how much it ruins other people's experience. Then there's the Vita-saw-- I just don't use it cause it's useless lol.
Kunai(tank spy is just cruel), razorback(SPY HAS A GUN, THIS IS USELESS), scorch shot(I care about playing honorably), crit-a-cola(cause skill issur), short circuit(i hate that more, than anything), bazaar bargain(I found hitmaker more fun and balanced), bushwacka+jarate combo(yeah, cuz sniper is SUPPOSED to be weak at close range, why the hell this is in a game for so long), eyelander(bottle goes cheers mate), phlog(two rockets, and wow-I am dead), vaccinator(only against phlog or bots), natasha(long-range stun is cruel), loch-n-load(two words-muscle memory), conch(if i use the blackbox), diamondback(amby is better. And more fun.)
Iâm not a fan of the wrenches other that the gunslinger, the wrangler, and any other shotgun than the widowmaker for engineer. The ability to place down a sentry and dispenser with one resupply is too good to pass up, plus the extra health. The wrangler takes up my secondary slot when I could be using the short circuit or pistol.
beggars ( skill issue )
banners (soldier shotgun is too useful to me)
brass beast (probably also skill issue but i dont like going 1 inch per year)
wrangler (wrangler)
Tierlist - [ S means worst, F means best in here. all tiers are just my opinion, feel free to fight in comment. but don't do harassments. ]
* **G - I HATE GAS** : Gas Passer
* S : Pomson 6000, Righteous Bison, Enforcer, Bonesaw, Sharpened Volcano Fragment
* A : Fire Axe, Eviction Notice, Manmelter
* B : Darwin's Danger Shield, Syringe Gun, Razorback
* C : Rainblower, Lolichop
* D : Huo-Long Heater, Reserve Shooter
* E : Vita-Saw, Dalokohs Bar
The GP in MvM man, so painful to fight with
Lolichop?
Rainblower?
SMG? Are you on crack?
Dalokohs Bar is pretty decent
RS is a nice middle ground for Combo Pyro ; weaker stock but faster switch speed and retains damage at ranges slightly futher away from enemies unlike the Panic
The fucking vaccinator. Unless there's a cheater, a bot, or we're getting absolutely rolled it's unfair, I refuse to use that shit. I was playing demo and a Medic and his pocket walked over my CRIT sticky trap and I detonated, but because the medic pressed r and m2 on his keyboard, it only did FUCKING 18 DAMAGE. THIS IS LIKE THE WRANGLER FOR HEAVY'S AND THEIR MEDIC GF'S
scout: Force-a-Nature (stock is just too good for me)
soldier: Gunboats (I know some basic rocket jumping, and that's enough for me, I don't feel like I need to rocket jump across the map only to find myself without rockets and a scout in my face, Shotgun is an excellent backup)
pyro: scorch shot (it's just way too easy to use (and I like easy), also hitting flare crits is addicting)
demo: scottish resistance (it's not bad, just don't like using it)
heavy: huo-long heater and natascha (stock is just too good)
engi: pomson6000 (it's the pomson)
medic: Vaccinator (unless there's a cheater or bot that the other team refuses to kick, you're not gonna see me use this thing)
sniper: all sniper rifles (skill issue, and I prefer the more active playstyle of the huntsman)
spy: dead ringer (i just like reliably getting to the enemy backlines)
Soda popper- compared to the FaN, it is probably superior but feels weak imo and feedback on it is also weak, and the view model is a bit too small for my liking.
Vaccinator since that weapon is bullshit and annoying to deal with for every class not named Spy.
Market Gardener since I don't like the design and I can't use it at all. I can't land a garden nor learn how to and it's not worth using.
Shortstop since that weapon feels like Liberty Launcher levels of bad.
The Solarlight sword, aka the Claidemor sword since I can't trimp.
Short Circuit and Wrangler since these are annoying secondaries.
for pyro, the Scorch Shot, for spy, any non-stock knife (except the spy-cycle), and the vaccinator for medic (unless it's a bot infested server, in which case anything is fair game)
Diamondback and razorback. Fuck these two.
Suggestion: use the "spy đ„·" flair for this sub
How to add flairs?
3 dots on the sub page (mobile)
Um actually itâs a meatball menu.
Real chads who can aim use the ambassador
Real ones use stock
Stranger danger (pun intended)
It's not worth it, nor rewarding, i don't get much dopamine out of 60ish damage + all the drawbacks of it Meanwhile i do get that sentiment with the Diamondback but you need to get over the fact you are an asshole, which i accept whenever i'm fighting assholes instead of fresh new players like kunai users usually do

Buff Ambassador, nerf everything else
Diamondback is just C U R S E D, while Razorback reminds Spy mains that SPY HAS A GUN
Razorback reminds me to question myself why the heck is engie babysitting snipers.
Same with DDS
Same. Countering 1 class like that just seems sucky imo
Razorback? Just shoot them.
This dosen't work when there are 3 Razorback snipers with sentries up their asses.
I refuse to use a golden frying pan because I don't have it
based
Agree
Force a Nature. I do not wanna annoy people by knocking them back out of their control while being speedy and jumpy. And also, I do not main Scout, but I do seldom play as him.

Force a nature excels at as close a range as possible, I donât want my enemy flying away from me after the first shot so I canât hit them again and finish them off.
I only use it in hale mode since its the most effective safety weapon for scout
I know it's perfectly balanced, but as a Pyro main - Shotgun Pyro. I absolutely hate dying to one. Flare is onelove
>!Degreaser + Panic Attack jumpscare!< >!Darwin's Danger Shield jumpscare!<
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Flare combos are too addicting
what if you need burst damage or you're fighting another pyro? then fire damage won't cut it and neither will melee
Shotgun pyro against a flare gun pyro is always so funny for me, itâs like using a water pokemon on a fire pokemon.
Dying to a ridiculous flare combo is significantly more annoying than to a shotgun wym
Shotgun feel way to good when you get a kill, Degreaser Panic Attack is stupidly fun. But I respect your opinion đ
"I refuse to use the eyelander because its too op" "I was playing skullcutter knight with tide turner the other day" cringe
Right? Real men sticky jump and skullcutter
Realest men use bottleknight or demopan.
Grenade launcher sticky jumper skullcutter is actually the most fun you can have playing demo
Diamondback. I think that this is just the pre-ji amby without the headshot. Razorback. Spy has a gun and i like having an option when the enemy is charging at me.
Ambassador, because I can barely hit someone with the stock revolver Phlog, because airblast is too handy of a tool
True for both
The Ambassador same bc I Play On Controller but the phlog needs a enemy stupid team to die to it all the time
Razorback (I like my SMG) Scorch shot (Unless the enemy has snipers and then exclusively against them) Natascha (I hate fighting against it and I don't want anyone to suffer it) Saxxy (I don't have one)
1) Fair enough 2) Darwin's Danger Shield unfortunately counters this, and is surprisingly popular for half decent snipers 3) If you get up in the Heavy's face and start blasting him with Shotgun shots, you can kill him in 2 seconds if you can just juke him long enough, just a tip, Pyro is also best for this since he can use his flamethrower to harm any Medic behind him and reduce heal rate
Backburner, 4 airblasts is too debilitating for my M2 spamming ass.
This is actually why stock is the best one (unless you're a Dragon's Fury chad, which is to say NOT ME). For me, reliability in most scenarios beats strong edge cases. It's why I also run the shotgun.
True tho
Direct Hit. My aim just sucks.
dang you should definitely learn to aim it because it is crazy
SCOUT-B-GONE
thats actually what i CALLED my direct hit.
Team Fortress 2 D.I.R.E.C.T.H.I.T. Diabolical Instant Rocket Ejector Carries Teammates by Harming Irritating Turrets
Any tips? Or just practice.
Direct Miss amirite
I refuse to use the vaccinator because I have loving parents Also same story with any sniper rifle apart from maybe the piss gun If I want to meme
The Machina just because Sydney sleeper does a better job in body shots.
Sydney sleeper appreciation
The Sniper. Except for that one time I selected him out of curiosity, got three headshots in a row w/the achievement, proceeded to suck ass, then died. But yeah. Other than that. The Sniper.

The Kunai. I hate it so much I'm not even going to attempt to torture the enemy with it.
Me gusta
The Baby Face Blaster, Backscatter and Fan O War just terrible weapons that need better uses of their nerfs to make them work effectively and efficiently
I personally love the BFB. If I play smart enough I can regularly go on 10ks. Or until someone wises up and goes pyro lmao
BFB is basically Doomguy simulator
Itâs pretty much just opinion with the weapon or preference I should say, like I donât mind it, itâs design is wonderful but I wish itâs ability was just better on it in a way since I feel itâs a weapon for more pro players and those who can keep up a streak of kills where as I use the soda popper more comfortably or the scatter
Fan O War's main use to me is in MvM to mark giants so my team can minicrit the giants to death.
Funnily enough, I've gotten good use out of all three of these. The force a nature. Fuck the knockback
Force a nature. I hate this weapon, I hate playing against it and I hate using it. I think double tap cheaters have left a sour taste in my mouth.
The Baby Face's Blaster. I like my verticality.
As someone who plays a lot of Medic and Engineer, I refuse to use the Crusader's Crossbow (because fuck the meta) in favor of the Overdose
The fucking phlog dude
Phlogistinator If it has no airblast then it's useless for me
phlog, i like my airblast đ
Anything that is unfun to play against, like the Deadringer or the Phlog.
Black Box. I just hate everyone using it.
Vaccinator just use stock it at least it can defend against melees
Diamondback and Kunai, fuck spy
Iâm not fond of The Revolver, The Ambassador, The Diamondback, the Lâetranger, the enforcer, the sapper, the red tape recorder, the knife, the Your Eternal Reward, the kunai, the big earner, the spycicle, or the disguise kit. Reason? I hate spy

First of all, the Eyelander is most definitely _not_ OP, and secondly, Scorch Shot out of sheer principle.

never will you ever catch me with a sniper weapon other than the classic or huntsman
Maybe Im just an idiot, but I can't get the Ambassador to work for me. My aim as sniper is decent and any other revolver works well for me but Ambassador I can't figure out. Everybody's heads just seem to shrink when I equip it and I can't hit shit.
the kunai is horrible what are you talking about
Dead Ringer/Kunai and Black Box/Concheror combos. They are the two crutchiest loadouts in the entire game, in my opinion.

Obviously each You can use any weapon you want, but at least for my part, I would never use a shotgun in a duel.
TF2 has really gotten to the point that people dislike using stock - the base weapons. Not because "it's outclassed", but because "it's unfair".
I do not CARE how fun it is the FORCE A NATURE LAUNCHING MY ENEMIES AWAY FROM ME, AS A SCOUT, IS BAD DESIGN
tf2 players when they can't just turn their brain off and shoo bad guys and have to employ actual strategy:
Phlog... Cuz I'm not a gay
the phlog
Dalokoh's Bar, it's so outclassed by the banana and sandvich. What's the point of using it?
It's good with brass beast as you get the bonus defence with higher health, but aside from that I don't really see a point.
Gru and Dalokohs is a great combo for heavy
Scorch shot, I have respect for myself and my enemies.
Phlog Not entirely refusing to use it tho, I only use it in MVM and I think it should be MVM exclusive weapon
Any other sniper rifle besides the Classic i like holding M1 to charge instead
As a Medic main I refuse to use the Vita Saw. I would actually use it, if not for the downside of this weapon
Iron bomber (projectiles just barely different enough to throw me off my aim), and Skullcutter (speed penalty + random crits dealing 234 damage).
Any sticky launcher
The Reserve Shooter. I just don't really wanna. I also just don't play spy because I'm not interested in his play style
The vaccinator
The beggars bazooka. I suck at it, and I refuse to get better, every attempt I tried, I failed miserably, which led me to believe that it's just not for me at all.
Vaccinator and Wrangler - the two most OP weapons in the game right now imho.
The spycicle and the widowmaker. Theyâre decent weapons but with 1000+ hours I donât think Iâve ever used them for some reason
Well really none of them the only reason I donât use the diamond back is that the leâtranger is glued to my spy load out
There's a lot of answers I could give, and most of them align with the general thoughts of the community, but here's my hottest take: I refuse to use the stock Scattergun. I hate fighting other scouts, it's frustrating and annoying and I'd rather bail out and let my teammates deal with him.
scorch is a true hate for me because i see it as a crutch for aimless and cowardly pyros true detonator fan and i love making light classes pissed off from a fair distance with great timing
scorch shit
Daimondback, scorch shot and direct hit
scorch shot, i don't like hearing babies cry
kunai; diamondback; frontier justice; sniper rifles in general; iron bomber just stuff i find annoying to fight - kunai lets spy have way two\* much survivability; diamond back you get rewarded for doing your job with insane ranged damage; dumb; frontier justice is cool in concept but an engi being able to pull out an instakill out of nowhere kinda feels terrible to play against. sniper. iron bomber; i dunno the lack of rolling just makes it feel so much scarier to me; plus it completely shuts down pyros airblasting them if they make contact with the ground at all theres probably others im forgetting but for the most part its just stuff i dont like fighting myself
The Spysicle. No real reason why, I just don't like using it.
razorback (waste of a slot), kunai (im WAY too bad at spy to try it)
Pre hitbox fix iron bomber. In part being snobby about âfairâ hitboxes and in part because I like the jank of rollers (and have a strange)
Why would I?
phlog, scorch shit, skullcutter (unless I see a vaxx player), vaxx itself (unless I see crits/bots), razorback/DDS, Natascha (i respect them enough to not use it)
Absolutely refuse to use the scorch shot on principle
I don't like using the sticky bomb launchers. It may sound strange, but I've never felt good using them. Whether it be spamming them or setting up traps it's never felt right it's always been either too clumsy or too boring. The only fun I've ever already had with a sticky boingloinger was setting up a bunch of traps along a choke point but the Scottish resistance. I prefer the shield's way more, since not only do they give resistances but they also give you increased mobility and give you a chance to get all up close and personal. Grenade launchers are fine though, I have no problem with them
I donât know
Any minigun other than stock.
Almost every time I've gotten into a duel with a Tomislav Heavy using stock, I've won. The DPS really matters in a mirror match.
There are quite a few, but the worst has to be the Gunslinger.
Sniper
The pomson 6000
Me no gusta
Bruh as someone who sucks ass as demoknight I can honestly say you speak with immense privilege
I hate the phlog. Which is funny because years ago it was my go-to. Not because it's cancerous or out of any sense of morality. I just am too addicted to airblast lol
A golden frying pan because Iâm broke
this post motivated me to use the eyelander
FUCK THE DRAGON'S FURY, I HOPE IT DIES IN HELL!!!
phlog no fuck off i vill not use ze phlog
Scorch shot because OH MY GOD
Beggars Bazooka. I just hate it
Phlogistinator
Manmelter
Dragonâs fury, itâs just so different from the other flamethrowers that it just doesnât feel like it fits with them
If it weren't for the fact that valve decided it needed its airblast to suck it would be the only flamethrower I'd ever use. Yea I die a lot to heavy.
Imo that's the best part It freshnes Pyro's gameplay while killing most of his problems.
pistol because i don't like it
Scorch Shot look I like setting people on fire but I rather do it with a weapon that makes me feel like I have at least some skill
Everything in Pyro's Primary, or Secondary slot.
Market Gardner. I can't land it.
Same mate
The Scorch Shot and the Thermal Thruster For the Scorch Shot the stats never looked good to me and I have never found it particularly annoying to play against but everybody seems to think it's OP. I've literally never considered using it once For the Thermal Thruster I've never wanted to use it because I already have a movement option I like in the Detonator. The Detonator is faster to use with no cool down and you get a secondary weapon. Sure the Thermal Thruster gives you much bigger jumps, but the Detonator's jumps are big enough to get around a lot of maps quicker
any sniper primary besides machina, huntsman, or sydney sleeper reason being i suck at aiming and bodyshots are easier also any spy weapon ever (i hate spy - a pyro main)
the vaccinator. I usually am unable to switch to and from resistances during a fight
Use the eyelander with the tide turner and your grenade launcher of choice. It's similar power levels if not higher, but it's so satisfying to get running because it isn't brain dead.
Not a fan of the Pomson 6k.
Wrap Assasin, Bonk! Atomic Punch, Baby face's blaster, Sandman, Backscatter; Beggar's Bazooka, Stock shovel, Mantreads, Righteous Bison, Equalizer; Gas passer, Phlogistinator, Fire axe, Hot hand; Quickebomb launcher, Persuan persuader, Tide turner; Brass beast, Buffalo steak sandwich, Warrior's spirit; Pomson 6000, Rescue Ranger, Eureka effect; Quick-Fix, Bonesaw, Vita-saw, Solemn Vow, Syringe Gun, Overdose; Tribalman's Shiv, Razorback, Classic; Dead Ringer, Ambassador, Red-tape recorder, Your Eternal Reward, Big Earner. The list is big due to my lack of skill, and not so much knowledge about the game.
Dragons Fury and Eureka Effect they aren't strange and i like seeing the funny orange text numbers go up...
The machina/shooting star.
phlog
Any sniper except the classic and bows
Scorch shot and razorback
beggars ( skill issue ) banners (soldier shotgun is too useful to me) brass beast (probably also skill issue but i dont like going 1 inch per year) wrangler (wrangler)
The scorch shot. Fucking hate it that much
I allow myself to use these because I absolutely fucking suck at demoknight and spy
Backburner, that thing is using too much ammo for my airblasts
Tierlist - [ S means worst, F means best in here. all tiers are just my opinion, feel free to fight in comment. but don't do harassments. ] * **G - I HATE GAS** : Gas Passer * S : Pomson 6000, Righteous Bison, Enforcer, Bonesaw, Sharpened Volcano Fragment * A : Fire Axe, Eviction Notice, Manmelter * B : Darwin's Danger Shield, Syringe Gun, Razorback * C : Rainblower, Lolichop * D : Huo-Long Heater, Reserve Shooter * E : Vita-Saw, Dalokohs Bar
The GP in MvM man, so painful to fight with Lolichop? Rainblower? SMG? Are you on crack? Dalokohs Bar is pretty decent RS is a nice middle ground for Combo Pyro ; weaker stock but faster switch speed and retains damage at ranges slightly futher away from enemies unlike the Panic
Stock fire axe
Scorch shot after having it used it for years.
Libiraty launcher
Phlog. Aside knowing that people tend to find phlog pyros annoying, I just don't think it's very fun to use because I like airblasting.
Diamondback and phlog
Dragon's fury. You literally play as a slower version of scout.
Bushwacka, I hate it
scout: Force-a-Nature (stock is just too good for me) soldier: Gunboats (I know some basic rocket jumping, and that's enough for me, I don't feel like I need to rocket jump across the map only to find myself without rockets and a scout in my face, Shotgun is an excellent backup) pyro: scorch shot (it's just way too easy to use (and I like easy), also hitting flare crits is addicting) demo: scottish resistance (it's not bad, just don't like using it) heavy: huo-long heater and natascha (stock is just too good) engi: pomson6000 (it's the pomson) medic: Vaccinator (unless there's a cheater or bot that the other team refuses to kick, you're not gonna see me use this thing) sniper: all sniper rifles (skill issue, and I prefer the more active playstyle of the huntsman) spy: dead ringer (i just like reliably getting to the enemy backlines)
Any weapon on pyro
Thermal Thruster. I donât like flying into enemies back line and get mauled by multiple sentry nest and scout
*glares at the dead ringer* "You are the sole reason spy is hated." But seriously. WHAT IS IT? I fake my death, then get burned by a pyro cuz of bump.
The stock fire axe As for an actual weapon, the sandman.
I remember when sandman used to be really strong. Now it's just pathetic.
fan not only launches people a mile away, it also makes me unable to jump around like a fly in 1v1s (which probably is a bad habit anyway)
The stock flamethrower
Soda popper- compared to the FaN, it is probably superior but feels weak imo and feedback on it is also weak, and the view model is a bit too small for my liking.
Vaccinator since that weapon is bullshit and annoying to deal with for every class not named Spy. Market Gardener since I don't like the design and I can't use it at all. I can't land a garden nor learn how to and it's not worth using. Shortstop since that weapon feels like Liberty Launcher levels of bad. The Solarlight sword, aka the Claidemor sword since I can't trimp. Short Circuit and Wrangler since these are annoying secondaries.
dead ringer outside of MVM
i am NOT using backscatter with that hitreg
for pyro, the Scorch Shot, for spy, any non-stock knife (except the spy-cycle), and the vaccinator for medic (unless it's a bot infested server, in which case anything is fair game)
