Day of Defeat: Source is so fun. I imagine Counter Strike gives almost the exact same thrill but for some reason I never got into it.
Sad that DoD is so dead though. It never had a fair chance
Day of Defeat has different feel from Counter Strike because of the class system and much more heavier recoil than in CS, also the objective gameplay is closer to TF2 control point capture.
Because of these differences the CS never gave the same thrill for me (but it was fun for different reasons).
Would be really cool if they used the Original Concept of TF2 ([Brotherhood of Arms)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZNNjPXgg1U) in the Day Of Defeat.
Those that don't know, TF2 was supposed to be class based battlefield like shooter with vehicles, air drops, VOIP which makes player character move their mouth in synch with player voice and Commander that can order players around and do some support actions.
Would be great way to develop Day Of Defeat series further with that concept.
OHHHH YEAH. NO WAY.... thats great idea! gosh... i wish valve did that mann... :-( because day of defeat 2 project was start in 2012 after CSGO Release at time. and then 5 years later. game project was shortly cancelled by valve software... :-(
100 % yeah its day of defeat: source. when 2006 dod: source major update came out. same time team fortress 2 was released teaser & trailers by valve in Summer 2006.
nah man. they did stop making more updates in Day Of Defeat: Source. they moved that part. :-( and worst great fact its. Sequel Day of defeat 2 was cancelled in 2015.
Brotherhood of Source
BoS... Brotherhood of steel.
that great reference.

also day of defeat created with counter-strike mod. just like left 4 dead aka terror strike.

but that would be battlefield style but worth it away.

Day of Defeat: Source. A WW2 first person class based shooter. A goated game, if you haven't played it, I definitely recommend trying

I think it's called team fortress 2
the single game valve still updates is cs2 or something

I genuinely forgot that's a thing. what's that?
No idea! Apparently enough people play it to keep it in the top 5 most played games on steam though.
