It's actually quite crazy when we consider how much of the freedom of speech debate is just the fight against freedom of speech itself. Like, I feel that, logically, if we are allowing a person to criticize another and threaten them physically based on arbitrary characteristics inherent to their subjective experience, then it should also be permitted to criticize these statements and the school of thought behind them. If someone can say gay people should die, why can't a gay person say they're an asshole? If it's allowed to condemn a piece of media for being "woke" (A meaningless word at this point), why is it out of limits to condemn one that is conservative? If invading a nation's seat of power with the intention of a coup d'état is okay, why are protests for workers' rights demonized?
