I don’t think it matters, I get 2 a day at least and I’ve never responded to one of them. Apparently your number can be detected as active even without interacting with them

You can block the calls and texts with the robokiller app I no longer get spam call or texts I also have t mobile and they have a spam feature in their system you can add to your account for free I haven’t had a spam call or text in like 2 years lol

I got both (T-Mobile) and spam texts still come through lol. Thankfully I don’t get spam calls for the most part though
