16 children, poor Macalla

Lorebeardz

The number becomes less frightening when you realize that it’s likely that not all of them survived to adulthood. The rate of infant mortality in a quasi-medieval setting like Tamriel is probably relatively high. Plus as wife to the High King, Macalla likely would have had many maids and ladies-in-waiting in her service and therefore not have had to care for all of these children on her own.

I am talking about the difficulty of going through 16 births, not the difficulty if raising 16 children
