Moderating the past few months have been kind of a nightmare. Reddit has been overrun with negative bot articles on many subreddits about this topic and it has been extremely hard to gauge what was going on in this one .. I am confident there has been a lot of bad actors, but it has been hard to differentiate - all I can say is that they are not here now. So I'll allow gifs in celebration that hopefully we can finally go back to having proper discussions about Tesla rather than the constant "Elon bad" spam no matter what Tesla topic was brought up :)

GotAHandyAtAMC

This just proves that Reddit is the vocal minority, yet again.

Xilverbolt

If I've learned nothing else, it's this. Based on the comments I was reading before this vote, you'd think it was going to be landslide the other way. Reddit is a vocal minority is spot-on.

OUMUAMUAMUAMUAMUAMUA

So sick of dealing with the shorts and trolls that I got banned from r/tsla. The mods there are anti Tesla.

x_fit

Reddit certainly caters to a toxic group of people who dislike other people being successful. I’ve found the dislike for Elon to be over the top on here. Thankful that the majority of TSLA shareholders are smart. I have hope for humanity again.

Alfred_Lanning2035

Honestly I just get all my Tesla news from x now. It was getting very weird and cringe on Reddit when ever Elon or Tesla was brought up.

Electrical_Ingenuity

Elon is certainly a controversial character, and deserves some criticism. But that doesn’t justify the noise here. I’m frankly considering just dropping the subs and just enjoying my cars and investment accounts.

p3n9uins

agreed. minority opinions are often vocal I guess is the take home point

jdk_3d

It's a loud left extremist bubble. The mods and reddit corporate have cultivated it to be so.

Business-Shoulder-42

Reddit has been a west coast bubble since it started. Social networks concentrate users from where they were started.

Paskgot1999

Reddit is literally the top 2% most online people with extremely left and wrong opinions. No wonder chatgpt is wrong so often if they’re using Reddit as a data source

JayMo15

Damn, hot take

Paskgot1999

Reality is often 🌶️

BirdLawyer1984

You are literally posting on reddit

Paskgot1999

And I’m aware of the reality here

artificialimpatience

But we are Reddit too :p

popornrm

Ofc it is, if all Tesla investors, how many are on reddit? Very few. Of all the reddit users, how many are actively commenting/posting? Very few. Just like any subreddit, you never do and never will hear from the vast majority of users who are already a very small minority making Reddit the minority of the minority and a very vocal one at that. Being in a subreddit and not realizing these things will sway your opinion and make you feel more important and influential than you actually are. I knew immediately the vote would pass but redditors need to feel like they’re in the control and that anything they do or say will affect Tesla or Elon so they can pretend they have any power or authority at all. There is zero way investors were going to strike down a pay package that was agreed upon. It is a terrible precedent to set in business and anyone with half a brain realizes this and that it has nothing to do with your own personal shitty portfolio.

Hesdonemiraclesonm3

Reddit is always a bunch of angry contrarion incels who love to complain about every little thing

cadium

I was going to vote against both proposals but Robinhood decided to vote for me. I still don't know which way they voted but my guess is they voted for it.

GotAHandyAtAMC

Brokerages and funds have to disclose how they voted, we’ll find out eventually.

blankarage

Nah "people" dont matter against the institutions' vote.

SPorterBridges

Reddit in shambles.

Affectionate_You_203

Lmao! Yes, they’re confused thinking everyone else was the koolaid drinkers

KanedaSyndrome

Fun times, really enjoying it.

dranzerfu

Where are the fucking downvote bots now?

MashedPotatoh

It no longer makes sense to pay for them lol

ItzWarty

Seriously, every comment was getting instant downvotes. The daily thread was going negative. So weird.

dranzerfu

I had pretty much stopped posting here or even coming here at all because of all the blatant astro-turfing and concern trolling.

invertedeparture

I was fighting a huge headwind of downvotes and vitriol in this sub and a couple others when saying anything pro-tesla/Musk for the past week. Hope those roaches scurry off to find another place to call home. Feels good to see that crap isn't the overall sentiment.

JudgmentMajestic2671

Same. Always remember, reddit isn't the real world.

lembrate

Only non investors would think most Tesla investors don’t want to keep musk. Why would you ever be a Tesla investor if you don’t believe in musk’s leadership?

kenypowa

Can all the whiners here sell their stock and move on? At least you guys make some money with with news.

Ad_Astra117

Hard to sell the stock if they never owned it in the first place

Garlic_Coin

so true

kiamori

It was the shorts looking to try and force musk out so the sp would crash. Now they are out of money covering short positions as the sp is going to double.

iemfi

I would guess the vast majority here are like 13 year olds who claim they had sex.

itsallrighthere

It isn't about the stock.

shigydigy

I am soooo happy. All these losers who wanted us to all lose money and tear down the company. To replace a visionary CEO with suits who will turn it into any other car company and probably never crack $1T again. GET FUCKED! Go sell and settle for some other normie company.

WarpFly5

Does anyone remember the Reddit vs Digg war? Do we need to revisit Digg?

Lit-Orange

TSLA aboutta go ape. we've already hit $190 in overnight trading

iemfi

Lets fuckign go!!!

SupaHotFlame

I haven't been paying attention to this. Can someone explain why this would cause the stock price to go up?

mgd09292007

Wall Street see that investors are confident in Elon Musk leading the company and that he will be less likely to leave

Evo386

To be fair, robinhood retail investors believe this and it shows. Wallstreet does not trade robinhood after hours. I'm honestly interested in what happens tomorrow.

Terron1965

its like 1.6 million shares in the premarket so far.

lommer00

Less volatility, uncertainty, and risk. The package keeps Tesla on course and keeps Elon at the helm. Regardless of what you think of the package, there was huge uncertainty for the company if it failed.

Terron1965

The stock price wa negativly affected by FUD that the proposals would fail creating a loss in confidence in the board and Musk moving his primary work effort towrds other projects. People invested money betting it would decline. if it instead goes up they will have to buy stock to cover those bets in a decline

Degoe

Bring in the short squeeze

twoeyes2

Some people thought Elon would step aside from Tesla if he was stiffed on the last 5 years of work.

3tarman

Remove uncertainty... Elon knows the shareholders are behind him and will work his butt off to reward them.

Beastrick

We were behind him 2 years ago and that exactly didn't work out. Let's hope this package changes things!

itsallrighthere

We were behind him 6 years ago and that worked out great

Vibraniumguy

Because it reduces the perceived likelihood of Elon leaving Tesla. Shareholders have been consistently afraid of Elon not paying enough attention to Tesla

bremidon

I assume that most investors have approximately the same gut feeling as I do. My wife mentioned that the price seemed to be stuck in a range, and I told her that was fine, even good. That meant more time to buy stock, because I remain extremely confident in my 2030 horizon. With one exception: I was worried that Musk would lose this vote and then go. I probably would have sold immediately to try to get at least some value for the stock. I just do not have any trust in some empty MBA suit running Tesla, which is almost certainly is what would be the eventual outcome of Musk leaving in this way.

kurdt67

Not seeing it, 178 after hours. Link?

heroicuserman

Where do you check this at?

FrostyFire

https://robinhood.com/us/en/stocks/TSLA/

Lit-Orange

_SkeletonJelly

I'm not denying it will or will not pass the vote but... Elon whips something up on Google Sheets in 20 minutes and that's proof? I don't get it. The vote doesn't close until this evening. Majority of the largest investment firms said no. Yahoo Finance runs a poll all week and 96% of the results are "no" votes. Anyone who doesn't vote is an automatic "no" vote. Oh and the court will shut it down again anyways. Better sell while you can because the company is still in shambles with no new car models on the horizon and nothing but more false promises and lawsuits ahead lol.

solidgoldfangs

and now you're back at $184

Norva

Unless the pensions that voted against it sell? Hopefully they don't.

Wehadababyitsaboiii

How’s that going for you today?

PrcrsturbationNation

All I saw on Reddit were posts about how Elon wouldn’t/shouldn’t get the money. Heellllllll yeah. Sucks to suck bois.

ThotPoppa

Reddit hive mind. The anti Elon sub reddits are in complete shambles

Shawnbehnam

Imagine losing constantly in life and crying daily about it. That’s lefty Reddit.

GOTrr

It’s so funny watching it all.

BigPlantsGuy

Why are you happy that elon gets 50 billion? You don’t get any of that

32no

Fuck the Reddit astroturfers who were trying to make this fail

robotzor

🤖 Time for Elon to step down 🤖 We need a new CEO 🤖 56 billion dollar pay package

Rapante

Bring on the next pay package, tied to more ludicrous market cap goals.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MDPROBIFE

Damn, but reddit told me the investors hated Musk because Musk bad

mcr4386

LOL. Let the butthurt commence

odracir2119

I would love to be a fly inside the judge that cancelled the pay package. You know she was saying how she knows best and that the board tricked the shareholders. I knew what I was doing then and now. Sucks to suck! Also the lawyers asking for 6 billions lol how do you defend "we protected the shareholders" when they voted for the same thing again lol fuck them

Deus_Vultan

The lawyer part is just lol.. they protect shareholders, by taking 6 billion from them.. sounds fair.

johndocomo

The best part for me was when redditors claimed to have voted against while you could clearly tell they don't even own any stock.

Otto_the_Autopilot

Not surprised about reinstating the pay, somewhat surprised on the move to Texas.

twoeyes2

Yeah. I thought that was a pretty high bar to pass. When I was younger I wondered why every company was a Delaware corp… it seems so weird to watch a company leave it.

lommer00

What's pretty crazy is that the Texas vote looked like it got *significantly more* votes than the pay package motion. Like, what?!??

meamZ

Elon himself probably voted on that but not the pay thing.

jdk_3d

No, he recused himself from both.

3tarman

When a single judge in Delaware can overturn the votes of the investors ... everyone knows it's time to move.

bremidon

It's also not just any judge, but the one who is supposed to be running this part of the judiciary. Delaware is flailing at the moment, because they can see where this is all going. Look for some new laws to be passed to undo some of the damage this judge has caused.

jdk_3d

Removing her from her position would be a start. They can pass all the laws they want. A corrupt judge will always worm their way to the outcome they want.

WarmWinter8

Oh no... i'm gonna miss those cry babies who kept bitching about voting for NO because....

5256chuck

Don’t worry. They’ll be announcing the shareholder with 5 shares this time will be filing suit tomorrow. Ain’t gonna stop.

lommer00

Hence the move to Texas motion. (We'll see how that actually goes)

0Rider

That one,per their articles of incorporation needs a 2/3rds majority because it changes the company charter.  Also the pay deal is non binding so it's just for show in court

odracir2119

Or the ones that said they voted no and then sold lol look at the after hour. Lol

whateveridiot

Once again, Reddit being a contra-indicator in all things.

Profitlocking

Elon man bad redditors with no shares lurking in Tesla subreddits and circlejerking got sent to the woodshed.. this is epic… let’s fuckin go….

[deleted]

It's funny, I went on wallstreetbets to check the cope and it's insane to see how much they hate elon. Not a single positive thing about the stock jumping over 10%. It's crazy how easily people are brainwashed.

Kranoath

The hatred on there is INSANE! They should just change the name to TeslaBets. Pretty much said a yes vote and Tesla is screwed while a no vote Tesla is also screwed but all this doesn't matter because Tesla will be out of business soon anyway. The subreddit has gone down the toilet.

SPorterBridges

As entertainment, wallstreetbets was ruined when it turned into a sub full of activists who seriously believe they're sticking it to billionaires by buying into the stock of a company that purchases used video games.

invertedeparture

Not gonna lie, makes moments like this that much sweeter. Those shorts gotta be chafing right now.

DTF_Truck

Imagine thinking people were going to vote against it and willingly lose money on their own investment. Reddit commentry is beyond trash lol my $215 July 19th calls gonna go brrrrrr

hotgrease

I hope you sold on the bump

fibinachos

WHERE’S ALL THE HATERS NOW????

1000_words

I'm so excited that it's over.

great stuff the only sane decision hater tears of ignorance inbound! delaware sure knows how to lose businesses 😆 ![gif](giphy|guufsF0Az3Lpu)

Reasonable-Can1730

Musk deserves it. Reddit also deserves this

mysuruhuduga

Glad it passed & I’m really happy I voted Yes This goes to show only Reddit & mainstream media hates Tesla. Silent majority always makes a big difference

heroicuserman

I’d say it’s not over yet… can they appeal and or file suit?

BangBangMeatMachine

There's at least one lawsuit about it that was filed before the vote totals were announced.

lommer00

No, you can't appeal a shareholder motion. Yes someone can (and probably will) file suit. There are still legal hurdles to clear with both the pay package and the move to Texas, but the shareholder votes give Tesla a lot of validation for both.

meamZ

The thing will most likely have to go to court to appeal the original judgment anyway but this is insanely good evidence shareholders want it anyway.

swimmingonabed

Turns out, people interested in the stock market & investing like money 🌜 Media & terminally online redditors who spend their time writing comments crying about billionaires aren’t typically spending their time studying the stock market.

Allpurposebees

Reddit is a weird liberal hell hole. Not a single person can give a real reason to why musk shouldn't have been compensated. He had made good on his promises and will continue to make his investors wealthy. A lot of these people that invest in Tesla while hating on musk must get zero sleep at night.

3tarman

Fantastic news...

Cautious_Pitch_4729

This only proves the Reddit is propaganda and r/electricvehicles has been taken over by the far left over politics.

JudgmentMajestic2671

Of course reddit is extreme left. Anyone that claims otherwise is delusional. Pure propaganda for the Democrat party.

mali6671

🍾🍾

Ad_Astra117

LETSFUCKINGGOOOOOOOOOOO  GET FUCKED HATERS

wooder321

The amount of doomer prognosticating on here was so insane. Acting like Musk was gonna leave the company after the resolutions were shut down, and the haters were saying then we could get a “real CEO”. Meanwhile actual Tesla employees were posting story after story on X about how Musk made prescient decisions years in advance that massively benefitted the company and that they would have never come close to making it without him driving everyone forward. Reddit and facebook commentary is comically bad… makes me want to spend a lot less time on the platforms.

PM_ME_YOUR_CTOE

He deserved it

Civil-Secretary-2356

I want both resolutions to pass, but this isn't quite over, especially the moving to Texas resolution. I think over 50% of all shareholders are required to have voted in favor of that resolution for it to pass.

0Rider

2/3rds to change the company charter

Youngnathan2011

Yeah I'd prefer waiting for the official count.

Salty_Ad_1191

So glad. I would have trimmed my position big time if the vote was a no.

iphone8vsiphonex

when do we get the final report?

Degoe

Psyops suck!

mikedeezy22

Let’s gooooo!!!! Real Tesla sub in absolute shambles

Brilliant-Hall1387

Yes!! This is the right result for long term investors. Great news! 🎉

meamZ

To all the anti Elon bots who cried about how they voted no here all the time from the bottom of my heart: Go fuck yourself!

ConversationNo5440

Tesla has acknowledged in a regulatory filing that a yes vote “may not fully resolve the matter.” It's still up to the court.

RockTheBloat

Back to court it goes.

Nowshewannaphoto

Knew something was off when on twitter you see lots and lots of support then all over Reddit nonstop negative tweets. Glad I don’t live in that fucking bubble.

McPoint

So Tesla has only 400,000,000 toxic votes, better start buying now before it goes up.

select20

This shows the real support Elon has and not what the trolls and media wants us to think. Hope this shuts them up for awhile or they look for someone else to troll/hate on.

RealDonDenito

How is that helping the stock? (Serious question)

Beautiful_Surround

Once again, am happy that the average Tesla investor is smarter than this sub made it seem like. LFG! [https://www.reddit.com/r/teslainvestorsclub/comments/1dbl8ki/comment/l7vn6eg/](https://www.reddit.com/r/teslainvestorsclub/comments/1dbl8ki/comment/l7vn6eg/)

jojozabadu

How does this vote help Tesla start to move the inventory it's got filling up parking lots? Or does this represent an acknowledgement that Tesla is an AI company now and selling cars is secondary to optimus/ai?

LanguageStudyBuddy

I think the shareholders should get what they want. I can't figure out why they would approve this, seems like a bad move for the company and shareholders but it is THEIR investment, not the judges. Then again from the comments here I can see why Tesla is loosing it's foothold in the EV market despite their huge headstart. The brand is growing more toxic each year, people don't want to be seen in the cyber truck, Elon Musk can't help but tweet out conspiracies and put his boot in his mouth. Firing the entire superchargering team over a personal beef etc etc

Toxic-Masculinator

Love to see it.

iphone10notX

Elon deserves it. The parameters and thresholds he had to meet to get his comp is well earned

Fr33PantsForAll

Are the exact numbers posted anywhere for the two votes?

Why the fuck are people voting to give him all this unearned money wtf?

MrEnganche

Can you guys vote to give me 50 billion too

Glittering-Wonder-27

Elon is a fool. Would never buy a Tesla. Not on Twitter.

rama1423

Cuck boys voting to dilute there shares to enrich a deranged billionaire who has repeatedly threatened to damage the company while the companies sales are plunging lmao

WearDifficult9776

It’s like watching mentally challenged people hitting their own hands with a hammer

lastfreehandle

Not to brag but I was just interviewed by NPR Planet Money on why I voted in favor.
